So based on SMC's calculations and a little guesswork: 75915 Pteranodon Capture $12 75916 Dilophosaurus Ambush $20 75917 Raptor Rampage $40 75918 T-Rex Tracker $50 75919 Ultra Dino $70 75820 Raptor Escape $120 I could be way off but it's a start. Here's hoping for a large compound for the $70 set and the monorail for the $120 one.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
djmangunz replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't watch the Ultimate Spider-Man so I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on whom we might get in the Carnage/ Shield set. Obviously Carnage but who could the Shield character be? Hopefully not Fury again. Maybe Coulson or Squirrel Girl? What sort of Shield vehicles could we see? Is Dr. strange featured enough that Lego might put him in one of the sets? -
Wow, I wasn't expecting to be impressed with this line, but the tower and compound looks awesome! The vehicles look underwhelming but all will be forgiven if we get that monorail from the trailer or a heavy duty truck like from the first movie. I actually like the idea of lego reusing Starlord's face. It seems like the type of tounge in cheek thing lego would do. With the Hobbit line finished and Avengers sets coming out in March it looks like Jurasic World will be my replacement line. This makes me want to watch Jurassic Park now.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
djmangunz replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
The Quinjet looks fantastic although I wish we could have gotten a motorcycle that resembled the Harley Davidson version from the trailer rather than a rehash of the last Cap's cycle. The Avenger's Tower is the big surprise of the line. It is so much better than I anticipated, much taller and more substantial, not just a one level playset like the Helicarrier kit from the last movie. The new Hulk looks very movie accurate as well but I can't help feeling underwhelmed by the Hulkbuster set. It was the one I was looking forward to the most. Something just seems...off. I think it is the helmet dome. It may be one that looks better in person. The Hydra chase and Fortress are both a bit lame sadly. Even the minifigures in those sets aren't as exciting as I was hoping for. The new Iron Man helmet is nice but we could have done with one or two less Iron Man figs and traded one of them for a Maria Hill. Not a bad line, some disappointments but the Quinjet and the Avenger's Tower make up for them. When is this line coming out? May? -

James Spader in creepy robot lego form? Yes please! The Quinjet has a more streamlined look to it compared to the last version. It smacks of Blackbird influence. The perfect head peace for the Hulkbuster set would be the half domed piece from the Star Wars gunship bubble turrets. You know you are a Lego addict when you watch a trailer and all you can think about is how to build a vehicle or location as a Lego set... -

Wow, those would make some great figures especially Donnie and that mask. Any rumors of thr Turtle Blimp showing up in season 3? (Crosses fingers for blimp set) -

Love the Hulkbuster armor but please let it be brick built and not a big fig. That would just be depressing. (Cue fanboy sadface) -
Wow! That is very well done! I love your reenactment of the final battle as well. This makes me miss the Harry Potter line :(
-
Wow....the Azure Angel is just amazing! I never thought we would get a set based on the original( and IMO the best version) of the Clone Wars. If it sells well, I wonder if it opens the floodgates for more sets from the micro-series like the Munninlinst 10 Gunship with the rancor art. (Fanboy scream!)
-
I would think that even you would have the common sense to notice the growing trend over the past 5 to7 years of Lego to use unique or desirable figures to sell a set. From Star Wars to Super Heros, more and more, the selling point of a set will often be the figures included. Case in point, the Guardians of the Galaxy sets spread the team over several sets to intice kids, who are still their main target audience, to buy them all in order to get all the characters from the movie. I never insinuated that the Bot5A set was a glorified battle pack but rather that the large number of mini figs included was designed as a selling factor of the set.

Examples of people freaking out when we first saw the cropped images of The Lonely Mountain set. After we saw more views from SDCC of the Lonely Mountain, people began to come around and realize that they may have judged too quickly. But honestly, I am not here to change your mind. It doesn't matter to me how you feel about the sets so complain all you want. All I know is that I will buy them and enjoy building them when October comes around.
-
Thanks for the love, brother! (Interweb fist bump) The problem I have with the hate on the Bot5A set is that we only see part of it in the pictures. Everyone freaked out over the early images of the Lonely Mountain set because we only saw part of it but that turned out fine IMO. Plus the set comes with 7 figures for $50 so obviously the focus is on the mini figs rather than the build.

Maybe I just had lower expectations than most but I don't find this final Hobbit line to be quite the atrocity that many of you do. On my wish list I was hoping for in this order: Erebor set, Dain Ironfoot, Iron Hills dwarf soldier, armored Elrond, and a battle boar/ram mold. It would have been nice to get the war chariot in the BoT5A set (I know it wouldn't belong there but that never stopped Lego before, right?) Getting 3 out of 5 isn't too hateful. I really like what they did with Erebor and Dain's helmet may be the best mold out of a line with amazing hair and helmet pieces. Could we have done with one less Bard? Sure. And should Legolas have been replaced with an Iron Hills soldier? Probably. But when we consider that most of us never thought we would get a Tolken based line of Lego sets, we really are very lucky to get any of these locations and characters at all. Especially how detailed and well done the figures have been. I myself will buy them all up, with extras for my boys when they get older, because it is obvious that this excellent line is at an end. And if I have learned anything from not picking up the original Batcave or the last version of Hogwarts, when they are gone they are gone and you will have to pay out the nose to get them when you change your mind later.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
djmangunz replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
After getting the Lego Movie last week and watching it (ahem, three times over the past four days) I found myself really wishing Lego had made a set of the Copper Chopper from the first chase scene. I would love to give MOCing this bad boy a go but I am struggling to find images for it anywhere besides a fuzzy one from a poster. Sadly I am not much at screen grabs. Anyone have a better shot of the Chopper? Thanks!- 2,626 replies

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
djmangunz replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
A kind Toys R Us associate took the time to dig through all of the new pallets in the back to track down the sub for me as well.(Thanks Dayton, OH TRU!) At first I was mostly getting it for the Leatherhead figure, but it turned out to be one of the best builds I have done in recent history. It definitely is the best build and set from the TMNT line IMO. The set blows away the Shellraiser build which was the same price point. The Shellraiser had the potential to be an amazing set but was greatly flawed by a horrible design which gives it the potential to crumble apart anytime you take the roof off. Anyway, the sub is one of the most sturdy and creative sets I own right now, ranking up there with the Quinjet and Helm's Deep as my three favorite builds. Even the bad guy mini set, in the form of the Krang sub, which I always dread making at the beginning of the build, was very clever. What's more, I was able to grab it for 25% off with a TRU friends and family mailer coupon. There is a 20% off version online right now. Pick it up, you won't be disappointed! -
It seems that a lot of the vehicles in the show have been heavily influenced by Ralph McQuarrie's artwork which is a great starting point IMO. I like it! Although there seems to be a fifth crew member of the Ghost as seen in this poster who I would imagine might figure into one of those sets. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/notyetamovie/news/?a=94714 Looks like a feline alien. Nah, this is how the MF looked originally. http://www.inafarawaygalaxy.com/2013/08/how-millennium-falcon-could-have-looked.html The Ghost is just a hodgepodge of ideas.

The potential for future Rebels is compelling. There are a few rumors or tidbits flying around to give us an idea of what sets we may see in the winter line. It is already confirmed that The Inquisitor has an Advanced Prototype Tie Fighter so we will surely get a set of that. There is mysterious female Mandalorian" on a bit of packaging, who is also on team Rebel with another new character, Imperial Agent Kallus according to IO9. http://io9.com/massive-collection-of-new-star-wars-rebels-characters-r-1523905371 There is also an AT-DP based on the 1980 Hasbro set which will appear in the show. And the big rumor which has been flying around is the appearance of Mara Jade. Getting her in minifigure form would be awesome.

While I certainly respect your passion for a specific product, I am not quite clear on what you are referring to. Do you mean Rocket Racoon's starship? http://marvelcinematicuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Warbird It is an interesting design and more substantial than the Nova Corps fighter: http://marvelcinematicuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Warbird But I think that the Lego designers would be hard pressed to create a set which fits that $20 price point and still be true to the size and substance of the Warbird. And the Knowhere set fits a much needed "playset" slot in a typically vehicle heavy Super Heros line. As far as I remember, Knowhere is a severed head of a Celestia and the GOTG base. After looking at the box and the set which seems to be a land set rather than a floating head it appears that the movie must deviate from the original source material greatly.

Collider has some info about the GOTG sets including the unknown $20 set: Guardians of the Galaxy got three Lego sets as well. There was a 665-piece version of The Milano with Gamora (Zoe Saldana) at the controls inside while Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) floated nearby with a laser in hand so that the two could battle Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) in his own smaller ship side by side. A second set called Nowhere Escape Mission showed off a three-minifigure-high Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) as well as a Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) riding in a bubble-like vehicle. The centerpiece of the set was a two-story brown and gray structure with Sakaaran manning a laser on the second floor. The box art put the set on a dirt floor surrounded by trees suggesting that the movie action could take place in some sort of forest clearing. Last up was the Starblaster Showdown package featuring a blue and yellow ship with a Nova officer inside. Star Lord is again seen floating outside the vehicle, but this time he’s holding a simple, grey ball. Across the way is the enemy component of the set, a small black, brown and grey ship with noticeably thin wings belonging to Sakaaran. Read more at http://collider.com/...czdxfqmIcL8C.99

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
djmangunz replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Comic Book Movie had a quick blurb about the movie sets: LEGO My Turtles There are three LEGO sets that will be released: the first is the Turtles' truck, for $39.99; the second was a battle set for $69.99, featuring a female villain with a stripe of red hair, and Megan Fox's April O'Neil; and a third, a giant underground lair retailing for $99.99 and containing Splinter, Shredder, and more. None of the sets had box art or specific names as of yet. The Secret Of The Ooze The truck set had LEGO ooze, though, that can drop out of the back. So in case you were wondering whether the classic piece of the Ninja Turtles' origin would be left out of the movie, worry no more. "Of course there's ooze! You've gotta have ooze," LEGO's rep told us. Read more at http://www.comicbook...ZtCbcXzgUffM.99 The link also shows the Playmates version of the movie figures if you want to get a good idea of the horror that is coming. And FBTB's excellent coverage continues with pics of the Nick show. http://www.fbtb.net/...-ninja-turtles/ From Ace; A new year, a new crop of LEGO TMNT sets and they were awesome. Even the Michael Bay turtles looked kinda fun if you ignored everything you know and love about the ninja turtles. Before you click through, unfortunately we weren’t able to take any pictures of that line. I can say though that they translate well into LEGO form. They are using different molds for the characters than the ones from the movie. Splinter is re-imagined from the current cartoon. Shredder looks more or less the same. The sets look kind of fun, but like I said, you’ll have to let go of any history you may have of the franchise. Even then, you still have to contend with Michael Bay and we all know what he’s done with Transformers. Me personally, I don’t think I’d get any of the Bay turtles. IMO I feel that this line is much less exciting than the first which makes sense due to the fact that they have already used a great deal of the best vehicles and locations up for the initial wave. I do really like the Sub and I will have to buy the Karai set just for her. But unless Casey shows up in a TRU exclusive that will be the end of my TMNT purchases for the summer wave. More movie set info from Collider: The movie-specific Ninja Turtles display featured three items. The Turtles’ lair set-up included minifigures of Leonardo riding a skateboard and Donatello donning what looked to be night vision goggles. The building was a two-story structure with a slide for easy ground floor access on one side. One small detail worth noting is a gold sword that slid underneath the ground floor, presumably for hiding. The second package came with two vehicles, a large van and a smaller truck. The truck belonged to the April, Leonardo and Raphael minifigures and the van to two Foot Soldiers and a character that could possibly be Minae Noji who’s rumored to play Karai. That larger van opens up along the side, revealing an extensive laboratory including tiny bottle cap-like pieces representing the ooze. The final set included yet another vehicle, a green Humvee of sorts for Raphael and Michelangelo. We’ve also got a Foot Solider manning a security tower attached to a drive-thru gate. In between that gate and the Turtles is a fourth character trapped in a chair, possibly Will Arnett’s Vernon Fenwick, suggesting that the sequence of play is meant to be the turtles driving up to a Foot facility to rescue Vernon who’s trapped inside. FBTB's pictures are up, at least for the Star Wars sets and Ace reports that the Phantom is $30! As much as I want this set, it looks like a $20 set or $25 at most. http://www.fbtb.net/...lego-star-wars/ But that B-Wing looks delicious! And the engines on the Star Destroyer are perfect! Guess I am back into collecting OT.

To those who were wondering why the Rebels line is lacking the Inquisitor minifigure, IGN had a blurb about some of the Hasbro toys and they had this to say: we also got a look at the Inquisitor’s TIE Advanced Starfighter. So it sounds like we could get a TIE Advanced set with the Inquisitor for the winter line. http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/02/16/hasbro-reveals-new-star-wars-rebels-characters

I am modestly versed in the GOTG lore being a big fan of the graphic novels like The War of Kings and the Thanos Imperative but I can't remember a character called the Searcher. Do you think the website could have meant the Collector? And I am really hoping that the Nova Officer ends up being Rhomann Dey who will be played by John C. Reilly. That would be awesome!
