  1. All right then! Did your source have any other Rebels Lego tidbits?
  2. Wow, that is amazing! Not only does that make the set an impressive collectors item, it also becomes a family keepsake! Congrats!
  3. I know that getting Lego inside information is not an exact science and can be hit or miss at times. Do you know what set or vehicle Zeb will be included with or did a third party just tip you off that Zeb would be appearing in a future set?
  4. It's great that we will get her (and Newt, I'm assuming) in some form but it seems more and more unlikely that we won't get any actually FB sets. That is really disappointing. Heck, I would be happy with just one D2C set. That American Ministry of Magic needs to be made...
  5. Wow. Said with such class and maturity. The majority of the folks on here are fantastic and will respond to this simple request with tact and respect. Unfortunately, it only takes one or two pricks to take a cavalier attitude and ruin surprises for everyone else.
  6. You call it publicity I, and many others, call it spoilers. Listen, I'm not the overzealous type when it comes to this and I couldn't care less if someone discusses the name of a ship or who is in a Lego set for an upcoming movie. I get it that those are the risks you deal with when it comes to reading a thread like this. And I totally respect the fact that the mods don't have the time or interest to regulate spoilers either. The thing I don't like is when someone uses the Lego set discussion as an excuse to drop some spoiler they found about an upcoming movie or show. It happens more than you would think on the licensed threads and I've had more than one upcoming movie ruined this way by someone being inconsiderate. All I'm saying is if it has the potential to ruin part of a movie for someone simply put it in spoiler tags. Not too hard. Thanks for not being a jerk about it.
  7. I know that this character's identity was revealed in a major magazine and that its plastered all over the fanboy websites but some of us do our best to avoid spoilers for upcoming movies and shows. It certainly is impossible to not mention some of these spoilers when discussing upcoming sets but those of us who want to stay spoiler-free would appreciate it if folks respect that and be considerate by using the spoiler tags.
  8. You had me at Alfred...
  9. The other new vehicle is the Flying Fox, a giant aircraft that looked larger than a B-52 Stratofortress -- Batman can park the Batmobile inside it and it has multiple floors -- and serves as a mobile command center for the Justice League. The cockpit is closer to the back of the craft than a traditional aircraft whose cockpit is at the front. Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth retrofitted the Flying Fox for the needs of this mission. This is a post from IGN regarding a troop transport from the Justice League movie. THIS would make an awesome Lego set but it would have to be $120 to $150 to do its size justice.
  10. Yeah, Not being able to discuss the new sets would stink. I think the ability to discuss the topic is generally based on the discretion of the moderators. I believe that Brickset has a strict no discussion policy but Eurobricks mods have typically been cool with us discussing new sets. Except for the leaked TFA sets over the summer. I feel like that discussion was shut down for a short time.
  11. I'm not disagreeing with you but once those images pass from Lego's hands into those of the retailers it's got to be hard to keep a lid on them no matter what steps Lego takes. Since Lego risks losing millions due to counterfeiters making knock-offs of these sets I can understand why they go to such care to keep future sets under wraps. Plus, they have the Mouse House breathing down their necks because Disney wants some of this stuff kept secret for their movies. I know that you can't put the genie back in the bottle but we have seen Lego legally go after several big AFOL websites before for posting images and lists of preliminary sets. We may not like how it works but legally they have every right to make the demands that they do.
  12. Those are the best looking minifigures I have seen since the Hobbit line. The vehicles on the other hand, I'm not so sure of. The U-Wing is my favorite simply because it looks as if it is a transport (which I was wrong about). I can't help thinking that it would have looked better with a different color scheme than the typical Star Wars white and blue (or grey). I know not everyone liked the black and orange of Poe's X-Wing but at least it was something different. Here's hoping that Lucasfilm takes a few more risks with their color palette in the future. I didn't get a lengthy look at the leaked pics; would anyone care to make a list of which minifigures go with which sets?
  13. I totally hope you are right! Perhaps I overlooked it but did J2G already confirm the existence of the U-Wing in the first wave of Rogue One sets?
  14. A few pages back we had a discussion about the U-Wing Lego set and if the vehicle would indeed be a troop transport rather than the star fighter it is labeled as. This blog presents some evidence that the U-Wing will be the former rather than the latter: https://stormtrooperlarry.com/2016/05/29/the-u-wing-is-not-a-starfighter/ While he does use a lot of the points of argument that some folks on here did use to support the idea of a TT (not me, I thought it was a fighter) it is still an interesting read. I, for one, really hope that if this is true that we would get a $120 or $150 version of this rather than the rumored $90-$100 so the set can do the size of the vehicle justice.
  15. That's what I suspected but I wasn't sure if there was a confirmation of that yet. I was surprised that no one had found it in Toys "R" Us yet since they are normally the ones who put the sets out early. Thanks man!
  16. This may be a longshot but would anyone happen to know which store the Ahsoka set will be exclusive to in the United States?
  17. You have some great points and I totally hope you are correct. My favorite SW ships are troop transports like the Republic Gunship. I guess we will find out in a few months.
  18. The biggest giveaway is the fact that is is referred to as a star fighter not a transport. Almost all the transport vehicles in the SW universe have their function reflected in their name. Compared to the preliminary artwork the star fighter is much smaller and what you are imagining as a troop bay underneath is simply too small to be used as such. I certainly agree that Lego has utilized concept art for final sets, often with somewhat disappointing results but at this point in the process Disney has a good idea of what their vehicles are going to look like. Disney wants to do their best to get accurate artwork to the companies who create their products. They make more money off of the toys than they do the movies themselves so they want Lego to get it right. A more accurate product means more money. Listen, I hope you are both right I really do. When I first saw the concept art of the drop ship months ago I really hoped we would see it in Lego form. I just don't think it is going to happen.
  19. Unfortunately it appears as if that picture was simply preliminary artwork. And it sounds like what was once imagined as a troop transport has been changed into a Starfighter in the final artwork. This happens a lot in the brainstorming process with big movies. Vehicles that were initially imagined as one type of ship may be completely redesigned by the end of the process. Sadly it appears as if the transport was ultimately redesigned into a fighter and that will be the set that we get in Lego form.
  20. Thanks! I better keep my eyes open then...
  21. Hopefully this isn't a foolish question; if I remember correctly last year the first SW summer wave came out in July in the U.S. and the Episode 7 sets came out in October, correct? So logic would dictate that we would be getting the non-Rogue One sets in Julyish in the U.S. this summer again, right?
  22. ^ I second this query! Amazingbricks, man of information and intrigue, please reveal your secrets. Drop some Harry Potter Lego knowledge on us brother!
