Curse you, you temptress! ( I admit, I clicked your spoiler ) That makes sense. I wonder if that logic applies to Leia as well and if that is why there isn't a minifigure of her? Wait...don't answer that. At least all the figures we have seen so far have been magnificent and will make up for a lack of a few Original Trilogy characters.
-
That sounds ominous and makes me glad that I do avoid spoilers so I can enjoy the movie rather than knowing every detail prior to its release date. Thanks for not being a jerk and spoiling it for myself and others.
-
Wait..where is Luke Skywalker in all of these minifigures? Despite his role in the film (of which I have no idea because I have been trying to avoid spoilers) you would think Lego would include on of the most popular SW characters somewhere in the first line...
-
I am also a bit surprised that we didn't get a Stormtrooper version of Finn. It seems as though Lego is emulating the Jurassic Park minfig strategy by spreading out the main characters throughout the line with the exception of Rey and BB-8. I actually don't have a problem with how BB-8 was depicted in minifig form. I honestly can't think of another way Lego could have made him.

That black and orange x-wing is NICE! The MF is nice but not enough of a change to convince me to replace my 2011 version. Old Han though.... And who would have thought fbtb would be the source of leaked pics? They have always been careful about not ruffling TLG's feathers. Which is a wise practice.

Wow, the printing on that TIE pilot is amazing!

Brickset has the outline of Lego events at SDCC up on their website and under Saturday's SW reveal they listed this: 11:00am Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens Stormtrooper set reveal. Now Lego may have something up their sleeve still, but Huw is typically in the know. It looks like we may have to wait a bit more for Episode 7 pics.

Thanks man! I took the plunge and checked it out; nice work! You were very detailed and descriptive. I hadn't seen some of that concept artwork before. I am most looking forward to the new x wing. I feel like I saw someone mention that the lego version of the x wing was going to be grey, red, and some other color. However, I am hoping to get that sweet orange and black version in the future. maybe in the winter wave.

Thanks so much for putting this together! Sadly, I'm going to pass on reading it because I am trying to avoid major spoilers. My apologies!

Thanks for the summary! I appreciate you taking the time to put the information together.

Can anyone give a summary of the rumors for the Force Awakens sets? I found nrg's post but I feel like there were a few other people who had information about what we might see with the sets.
-
Wait...where did this set come from? I thought the biggest set would be the MF. I wonder if this is a ship or a play set like a base? This is going to be a dang expensive wave...

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
djmangunz replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I can confirm that Meijer stores (Midwest version on Wal Mart) has the Hulkbuster set in stock as well as the Hawkeye and Iron Man vs Ultron sets. The store I use in Ohio had a spot for the Hulkbuster set and the unopened shipping box right freaking next to it with a "do not sell till March 1st" sticker on it. Sadly, even after a polite conversation with the manager they still wouldn't sell it to me. But they were super nice and apologetic about it so props to them. -

Thanks for the great review of the Hawkeyes set J2G. My oldest was beside himself with excitement while watching it. I guess we will be picking that one up! -
Good call, I didn't realize that we were missing another set. Thanks for the information!

After reflecting on the negative reaction from the image of the raptor set released yesterday I feel that Lego made a mistake by showing the (IMO) weakest set first. Because looking at the rest of the line I can't help but be very impressed by the quality of the sets. The jeep, larger helicopter, and t-Rex tracker are awesome and far more impressive than I was expecting. And the Dino's are outstanding! I have to say that the t-Rex is my favorite. I am surprised that Chris Pratt only appears in one set. I wonder if this means he is killed off?

While I don't agree with some of what Hoth Bricks does, I certainly respect your choice to do so and I applaud your unwavering support for one of your favorite fan sites. I am going to take my own advice from a few posts back and drop the topic.

If you would like some examples, feel free to read the comments on these videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UqrjSKeoXg

No ranting here, simply a summary of the poor reputation your website carries in the majority of AFOL circles. But I'm not interested I'm making this a thing, so I am going to drop the topic. Here's hoping the quality of your reporting increases.
-
Well....maybe. My comment was totally tongue in cheek but there is always some hint of truth in every joke. Your website can be entertaining to read but the majority of your front page "scoops" originate on Eurobricks' boards, some of which are simply rumors and have no truth behind them. It's hard to have much respect for a website which has no qualms about posting rumors as facts and consistently plagiarizes stories and information from reputable sites without giving the original authors' due credit. Just saying...
-
That sounds....pretty dang accurate. You better be careful though or you might find your list scooped on the front page of Hoth Bricks...

Has anyone attempted an alternate build or MOC with the Lonely Mountain set? I ended up with a second set because Target send me a destroyed set in the mail and they were kind enough to tell me to keep the original one when they sent me a replacement. I would love to recreate the front gate or another section of Erebor with the second set. Sadly, I am not much of a MOCer myself and would love to see someone else's ideas for inspiration using the Lonely 'Mountain set. Thanks!

No worries! You make fantastic points and it's more than likely you will be correct in most, if not all, areas. The reason I attached the $120 price tag to the Raptor Escape is because someone, maybe j2g perhaps, listed a price point without names attached. Normally as the set number increases so does the price, but not always. Anyway it was done mostly for fun and was all complete guesswork on my part. Nice job on your end though!

I would say best case we have an alternating line with the upcoming summer sets focusing on Jurassic World and a winter series based on Classic Jurassic Park movies similar to the Hobbit and LOTR line. Worse case is the movie bombs and we only get a JW line. Not likely since they are already in talks to make sequels.

I agree with you that the raptor escape could be the building from the picture or it might be the $120 set. Something similar to the main compound from the Dino line a few years ago but larger. The monorail could be accomplished with just a few cars and a small circle of track but more than likely it is a pipe dream:(
