Heroica RPG- Quest #67: Nova Tertia
joeshmoe554 replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
Jeaux could see the reptilian monsters assaulting his companions. Almost everyone he was fighting alongside had the sickly look of poison etched across their face. He checked his briefcase for something to help cure them of their ailments, but he had used up his last remedy in their previous encounter. Not seeing many other options he fired once more at the spitosaur across from him. Jeaux attacks Spitosaur C from the back row -

How would someone get a special damage if they are Fast Asleep?

If you remedy the curse effect does the player's Max HP stay where it is for the rest of the battle, or until the player is KO'ed?

Review Review: 10240 Red Five X-Wing Starfighter
joeshmoe554 replied to Rufus's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I got mine yesterday and it was wonderful. I spent around 3.5 hours building it and then afterward thought it might be a good idea to eat some dinner. I loved most of it, only hating the cockpit stickers, which have about 3 air bubbles under each one. I set it up next my other X-Wing set (7140) which I rebuilt a few months ago and it's almost funny seeing the two next to each other.- 118 replies

I was wondering about the Chima set since it wasn't on the packing slip. It's good to know it wasn't a random mistake that I'll have to ship back to them.

OOC: I'm pretty sure SP reduces the damage after taking row into account not before. So the free hit would have dealt 0 damage [(14 / 2) - 7 = 0] Jeaux was slowly whittling away at the Spitosaur's health, but it was weakening the creature. He fired the cannon again at the Spitosaur from the back row. Jeaux attacks Spitosaur C from the back row -

OOC: Spitosaur A should be at 517 (see previous post), B should be at 308 (Crit only doubles WP not total power) and D should be at 476 (again see previous post) Jeaux recoiled from the vicious bite of the Spitosaur. It would seem their projectile attacks were not the only weapons at their disposal. He aimed the cannon once again at his prey, determined to see its end. Jeaux attacks Spitosaur C from the back row. -
Holy elemental attacks and healing abilities.

OOC: Yep, Benji would have dealt 138 dmg thanks to the ice and fire elements leaving Spitosaur D at 476 HP. Also Spitosaur A should be at 579 HP (596 - 17 = 579). Jeaux aimed the cannon at his prey, just before he fired he saw poisonous phlegm flying in his direction. The toxic substance landed in the eyes of two of his companions, distracting him for a moment and causing him to miss his shot. Fortunately, the powerful handcannon was still dangerous even if not aimed properly and shards of the projectile found their way into the Spitosaur he had targeted. He regained his focus and fired another shot at his prey. Jeaux attacks Spitosaur C from the back row -

OOC: Jeaux should have dealt the full 24 damage to each opponent since handcannons are ranged weapons. Jeaux finally felt like he was getting the hang of the more advanced weapon at his disposal. He fired another round at his target. Jeaux attacks Spitosaur C from the back row -

The automaton aims the festive hand cannon at one of the lizard opponents, trying to remember the lessons he learned from the party's last battle. Jeaux attacks Spitosaur B from the back row. OOC: Switched target -

Hearing Haldor's request Jeaux asked the lizard, "When you say family. What are we talking here? 2 maybe 3 of you at most? I don't see anyone else nearby" -

The automaton turned back to the lizard once again, <"Hmmm, you're more clever than I gave you credit for. Truth be told, I don't much appreciate being trapped in a cage, but that's life. We were hired to bring one of you back with us and that is what we are going to do. One of your number can either come back with us now, or we can kill all of your buddies and bring one of you back with us anyway. Think of the noble sacrifice you would be making to protect your fellow scaly brethren if you were to volunteer, or if there's some really annoying lizard among your number we could take him off your hands for you. I know if I had to choose between my life or that mage's"> Jeaux nodded in Heckz direction, <"I wouldn't hesitate for a second."> -

Jeaux looks in the direction Heckz is pointing and sees nothing in that direction. After hearing Heckz request a shadow begins to eclipse his features until his surface is as dark as night. He addresses the lizard before the party once again, the slithery, whispery sounds unintelligible to one not attuned to the voice of nature. <"Our guides have not indicated any path for us to follow. As to making us lunch, I don't know if you have smelled the two more barbaric members of this party."> The automaton makes a gesture in the direction of Tarn and Haldor, <", but I have a hard time believing they would be very fit for eating. This mage might make a tasty treat, but you could hardly get much of a meal from him, and then you'd probably be even hungrier than you were before eating him. I have a feeling our guides might have some cuisine very much to your liking, if you would allow us to escort you back to our camp."> Jeaux then turned back in the direction of Heckz, "I translated your message, let's hope he buys it." -

After Jeaux had finished translating the message to the rest of his party he addressed the lizard. "I haven't seen a path." Jeaux turned to his fellow party members, "Have any of you seen a path?" Jeaux had a feeling this was one of the creatures they had been hired to capture and retreat would not likely be an option. -
