  1. "It seems we are as ready as we will ever be. Let's head to the Stronghold."
  2. "Do you think half of our group would be strong enough to stand up to Iris and her minions, or the many oculoids and proggs in the homeless district. Committing our forces to one battle will increase our chances of winning that battle, while splitting up would only weaken us on both fronts."
  3. "It would seem almost entirely unharmed, and from what I have heard, in no small part thanks to you. We were wondering how you were able to resist the influence of the Oculoids. We were rendered unconscious within moments, but you still held enough of your faculties to escape and take us with you."
  4. "The first order of business would be to discover how Solon and Fydelle managed to resist the Oculoid control. Any battle would be fruitless if we were unable to solve that dilemma."
  5. So like a group of Militant Amish then?
  6. "Interesting that you have a sense of humor. It would seem you are not the mindless zombies I would have pegged you for."
  7. If he had some sort of echo chamber to broadcast the hexing words among the entire legion, than I believe it could be possible.
  8. Jeaux looked to the faceless man, "I have only recently arrived in this area, so much of what is happening is news to me. Last I heard Eubric was a thriving trade port, can you tell me what happened. How did this 'Eternal Reaper' manage to decimate the city?"
  9. It will probably make more sense when I read the other half of the quest as well. Knowing only what Jeaux knows is making things somewhat mysterious.
  10. "It would seem these hallucinations are an image of a potential future. If they are being thrust upon us by a sentient being, than I see only 2 probable reasons for doing so. One would be to intimidate us into retreat or to warn us of the consequences regarding inaction. Seeing as Iris appeared to be unaware of these images, I would lean towards the latter explanation." Jeaux looked out over the ruined wasteland that was once Eubric. "If this is in fact a vision of what may be, perhaps we can learn more of how the conquest began and better prepare ourselves for its prevention."
  11. "Not a bad plan. Using the proggs as your soldiers would keep your own people out of harms way and they could deal a reasonable blow against the humans above before defeat leaving a considerably weaker opponent for you. Utilizing the proggs own invention to assist in your manipulation is also rather efficient. It has its flaws of course, as most plans do, but at its core it is quite impressive."
  12. "If your problem is with humanity, then why antagonize the proggs?" Shortly after Jeaux spoke a letter appeared from Mr. Legonardo with a piece of armor attached. Jeaux read the letter, before equipping the armor. OOC: Jeaux's statistics have been updated with changes from Grogmas Event.
  13. Jeaux walks with the Oculoids, hoping this mistress would have more information than the white demon he had taken for their leader, or at least be more forthcoming with what she knew.
  14. "Both. It would make far more sense to listen to them than to start a potentially pointless battle. I would suggest however that the Oculoids start saying something of substance before some of the more quick-tempered members of our band decide to start swinging weapons."
  15. Jeaux cocks his head to the side with a look of confusion. "I agree. We need to know what their goals are, and if those goals do not conflict with our own then I see no reason why there would be strife between us."
  16. "It would seem you have us at a disadvantage. You know why we are here, but we know nothing of your goals and what they have to do with the proggs. We have been hired to help the proggs resolve some issues in this new colony. If you do not intend to destroy the progg home, then I see no reason why there should be any quarrel between us."
  17. Dear Karie, It has been a while and I am not unhappy to hear you are in good health. Shame that the harvester was destroyed, it was a powerful tool and there are likely not many similar to it. I also am wary when you say the stealer has "turned over a new leaf" as they say. The man deceived us once, and he could be doing it again. If you feel satisfied he has changed than I suppose I will have to take you at your word, given I have not seen this new man. I have been somewhat occupied battling demons and the undead as of late. I am currently standing facing a multitude of what have been referred to as occuloids. We seem to be in a staredown at the moment, with battle all but imminent. Have a merry grogmas, and try to stay out of trouble, failing that I have attached a Grand Potion to assist when trouble finds you. Sincerely, Jeaux
  18. No, only items from your inventory. Otherwise you'd just be buying stuff.
  19. Merry Christmas to everyone! Even if you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you have a wonderful day all the same.
  20. Dear Heckz, Merry Grogmas to you, and may the season bring you all the joy that a single minded individual like yourself may desire. I have enclosed a vial of hair gel so you may be more able to maintain those looks that you seem to value above all else. May this holiday season bring you some perspective and a greater vision of life, or at least a shiny head of hair. Sincerely, Jeaux Attached to the letter, Heckz find a bottle of Blue Jelly
  21. Still the 23rd here, but the wishes of good tidings(and all that sh*t) are always well received.
  22. While waiting for a response, Jeaux makes an attempt to learn more about the blue substance he recovered. "Excuse me Fydelle, but are you familiar with this blue substance? I found it in the deeps near a rather badly damaged appartment." OOC: And is it an important quest item that should not be Z-Mailed to other individuals?
  23. Dear Mr. Legonardo, From what I understand Grogmas is a time of year to spend with Family. Sadly I have none, my past was lost to me a while ago and I am in the process of forging a new future. I know that you do not know me, but the reason I am writing to you is I am an automaton. I have heard that you have experience in the construction of such devices and I would very much like to meet you. Perhaps you might have some knowledge of where this body came from, and could help me set a course for my future by providing me with at least some part of my past. As it is Grogmas tradition to exchange gifts, I have included a Golden Handcannon (WP:9; lightning-elemental). Seeing as you have experience with technology, perhaps you might find some use for it. I would very much like to hear back from you, and I wish you a Merry Grogmas. Sincerely, Jeaux
  24. To Portia, I recently came across this vial of Volatile Venom and thought you might be interested in it. Perhaps, you can unlock its secrets and improve the effectiveness or variety of your merchandise. As it is the season, it would seem only right to also wish you a Merry Grogmas. Sincerely, Jeaux
  25. Dear Father McCreary, I trust this letter finds you well. While Grogmas does tend to be the season of festivities and dancing, I hope for once they dead have chosen to forgo the more energetic activities of the season. If not, I have enclosed a Holy Bomb that should help you deal with any of the more active corpses. Sincerely yours, Jeaux
