I mean, ultimately it's up to you, Pala. You're party leader.
-
I doubt we have a third party, but I think we can safely rule out a Serial Killer. A Serial Killer would've killed last night, so with the murder from both the Bellagio and the Serial Killer, we would've gotten something. Whether we have a vigilante is yet to be seen, although I'm leaning towards their not being one. Now then, onto more pressing matters: let's pick up from yesterday. Oldman and Schauer, if you had to vote for someone right now, who'd it be? There's probably a loophole for exactly this kind of occasion.

Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return
Kintobor replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Karie fiddles with a smoke grenade. "Say the word Pretzel and we're outta here. We need to make an effort to grab our stuff before we head out, and I want Kukulkan and the Fox on me, right now." Karie frantically scans the room for the duo. -
Well, this is a curious situation we find ourselves in. I suppose we pick up from Day One and continue the line of questioning present there. Cathy has seemingly fallen ill, but I'd like to know what our new juror has to say about all this. What's your opinion, Jimmy?

Which old TV shows would you want to see make a comeback?
Kintobor replied to Steamdemon's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I know it'll never happen, but 1993's Sonic the Hedgehog never got the ending it deserved after being cancelled after it's second season, which ended on a cliffhanger of all things. It really saddens me that a show that really bucked the trend of awful adaptations of video games got the shaft this badly. If you've never seen it, it's pretty fun. Jaleel White plays Sonic surprisingly well, and Jim Cummings' Dr. Robotnik is probably my favourite rendition of that character. I'd skip the pilot though, as it's not really representative of the rest of the show. Maybe it's nostalgia speaking, but I really love 93's Sonic the Hedgehog. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya's another great show that I'd love to see get another season, although seeing where The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya ended it, I'm fine with how that series ended. That being said, I'd love to spend more time with the SOS Brigade. The Disappearance of Yuki Nagato-Chan was cute, but I'd love a continuation of the original show. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return

Karie drinks another Grand Tonic, tossing the bottle to the floor. "I'm really sick and tired of looking at blondie's stupid grin! The more time we loiter about here, the more attention we draw to ourselves! Give me a moment to get ready, and then I say we bust outta here with a smoke bomb." -
I was going to comment on the benefit of a day one lynch, which I'd be in favour of, but it seems I've been beaten to the punch. I'll agree however that those who haven't voted are withholding their vote for a reason. If you're pro town, you'll put your voice out there and vote for someone instead of sulking about in wait for a bandwagon to occur. In my mind, that is incredibly suspicious.
-
My apologies. I should be clear that I find quietness suspicious, and I also find people who haven't voted suspicious, and it seemed you were deflecting my suspicion on you to them. However, if I'm being honest, after everything that's transpired, my suspicions have moved away of you and onto other people, particularly the Oldman bandwagon and Cathy. Vote: Cathy Bridger (Drunknok) Cathy claims that her being the second vote in a potential bandwagon isn't suspicious, and I think she misses the point. What makes her suspicious is the act of voting for someone without elaboration. That to me looks like someone jumping in early to look pro-town, and avoid the bandwagon, especially with the lack of reasoning. Cathy, mind talking for us? What's your opinion on the current situation? Who do you think is scummy?
-
You're deflecting by pointing at Dez and Tina for being suspicious. There's no reason to consider a third party until the potential for a third party presents itself, such as multiple deaths during the night. As for now, why you'd even consider bringing it up seems off. Unvote: Jared Hartman (Kwatchi) Voting also gets a conversation going. If you had to vote for anyone right now, Harry, who'd you vote for?
-
Let me put it to you like this: in our current predicament, we want people talking. The more people talk, the more likely we as the town are to find the Bellagio scum and bring them to justice. If the entire crux of someone's argument is "they're a noob", as you put it, I'd find that statement highly suspicious, especially the later the trial got. Lurkers and quiet people tend are the ones I'm suspicious of most often, and pressing them is a good way to get them to open up. I also find anyone who withholds their vote on any day past Day One to be incredibly suspicious, as they're withholding their vote for a reason. My vote's going to stay on you just to make sure you stay around, but I doubt it'll stick. No, I know this because it's the entire crux of our current situation. The Bellagio's are an informed minority who know each other and are trying to blend into an uninformed majority who don't know who their allies are. This is Jury Duty 101, Clifford. I find this statement HIGHLY suspicious. It's day one, and already you're making a claim about a potential third party. We have no evidence to even consider such a lead, so why would you bring this up? The possibility for a third party's there, but with no evidence to go off of to support such a theory, why do you believe such a thing is likely?
-
Not possible. The scum know who the scum are, and we good, god fearing townies don't know who our fellow townies are. I do admit, Oldman's defensiveness is strange, but I'll also admit a bunch of this could be newbie players making choices that are confusing me. What do you mean by "after I showed my card"?
-
Now this just sounds like someone looking to bandwagon at the last minute to blend into a crowd. This might just be a rookie mistake, but I'm keeping my eyes on you, old-timer. That being said, there's someone in particular who hasn't spoken up, and they really should, especially since I've already pressed them for an answer. Vote: Jared Hartman (Kwatchi) I'll remove my vote from you once you've responded to my previous question, which I'll kindly state again: what do you mean by this? You see, the way I see it, it looks like you're asking us to look through the Day thread images posted by our benevolent judge to look for clues. Is that what you're getting at?

Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return
Kintobor replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Karie looks back at Dyric, noticing his weird glance. "I'll come up with something more original next time. Right now, let's keep our heads focused on more pressing matters." -
So, let me digest this, because there's a lot going on here. You're suggesting we look through the day's pictures provided by our host to look for clues as to who is and isn't Bellagio scum? If we see a movie I'd prefer one without a whole lot of wood. I've seen far too many films on the forestry industry.

Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return

Karie returns to playing a Lucky Chant, knowing she'll inevitably run out of ether. "Keep at it! We've got them on the ropes!" -
My goodness gracious! Infiltrators amongst us? The horror! We must do everything we can to be rid of them at once! Say, while we're waiting, anyone up for seeing a movie after this? I mean, the movie theatre's right across the street...

I can most certainly make an attempt, since you asked.

Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return
Kintobor replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Karie felt exhausted after buffing everyone, even for such a short amount of time. She groaned as Lawrence spoke to her. "Focus on not dying here first, Lawrence!" Karie downs a Grand Tonic from the back row. -
Trial by Jury - Confirmation and Discussion
Kintobor replied to mediumsnowman's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Good day, everybody! The name's Johnson, Gary Johnson! Normally I'm the foreman up at Brick Bros. Mining Corporation, but it seems I've been called in for jury duty. Hopefully we can get that guilty verdict on Sleaze Bellagio so I can go back to doing what I normally do: work with rocks, and perform rock related activities. Would you all like to hear a poem? It's about rocks! I've got tons of them! -
Ditto. I thought it was a server update.

Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return

Karie grabs her guitar from around her waist and begins to strum violently to a rhythm only she can hear. "Well, this went big behind over tea kettle really quickly!" Karie plays a Lucky Chant from the back row. -
Trial by Jury: A Quickshot Mafia Game - Sign Ups
Kintobor replied to mediumsnowman's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
1) Yeah, I've played before. 2) I've got Heroica to finish up, but other than that nothing big going on, hopefully. 3) 12. Absolutely livid. The only way to make up for this is if this entire mafia game references Gilbert and Sullivan's "Trial By Jury" at every chance it gets. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return

Karie raised an eyebrow. Lawrence seemed incredibly calm. Something didn't sit right with her. "I'd be more concerned with keeping an eye on you, Lawrence, but that's simply advice I'm giving to whoever goes with you." Karie pointed to the former not-king. "Our younger members are more than capable of handling themselves in a fight should they need to." Karie paused for a moment. She observed the scene of chaos brewing. The guardsman and the town watch guard were going to become martyrs if something didn't happen soon. She turned to Kukulkan, whispering. "I'm thinking of dropping a smoke bomb. If we ran out, I need you to grab ahold of me. The Wolfgang supporters know where to go. I don't. These two men in front of us cannot become martyrs to this bloody council. Do we have an agreement?" -
Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return
Kintobor replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
"None of us should lead this city." Karie protests. "Look who currently rules. So called Heroes. Once this is all over, Heroica needs to step back and think about it's place in this city and what it should be. I do not want a Heroican ruled Eubric, as it's been proven that when given the chance, the organization will in fight and backstab each other. Nonetheless, those not with us are here in spirit, and I'll toast to that." Karie replies, raising her mead and drinking it. "To those who are not with us." Karie leans in and speaks to Germ in a hushed tone, shaking her head. "If you attack them you make us look like brigands looking for a fight, and at this point in time we cannot look bad. Patience is a virtue." Karie furrows her cheek and glares at Lawrence. She didn't realize he was here, and wished she hadn't. As he approaches her, Karie straightens her posture, looking him in the eye. As he finishes speaking to her Karie stands up off her seat, brushing herself off before speaking to him. "Why should I trust you, Lawrence?" Karie replied. "Why should any of us trust you? You stand before us, the epitome of everything we currently stand against. You would've rather seen Heroica fight itself through a petty war of kings than stand for a Heroica not run by the houses or the oligarchs of this city. No, Lawrence, I don't want you leading any teams that head out. I won't say anything about you helping, because we need all the help we can get, but I refuse to assist this reformation if Lawrence leads anything at all." Karie draws in breath, taking a moment to collect her words before speaking in a more unimpressed, defeatist tone. "However, and I hate saying this, I do agree with Lawrence that I probably should be on the group that goes to speak with Ulfric. I've got ties to the Wolfgang, whether I like it or not." "I think we've got three groups going. One group to speak with Ulfric, one to investigate the Dragon House, and one to investigate the temple. Let's make up our minds quickly. We're going to probably sneak our way through the streets."
