  1. Zaria turns her attention away from her thoughts to hear the sound of cracking wood and a person tumble to the floor as a bar stool broke. "Interesting. What precisely would a lawyer be doing here, if you don't mind me asking? This doesn't seem like the kind of place that one would practice law." Zaria was about ready to help the man get back on his feet, but waited to see if he needed any assistance. As she did so, she noticed the ginger haired woman pass her and smirk. She gave her a confident wave in return.
  2. Walking towards the threshold of Heroica Hall's front doors, Zaria Karana took a moment to step over to the grass, take off one of her boots whilst deftly balancing on one foot, and give the sole a few heavy smacks. From out of her boot, a trail of sand sprinkled out of it and onto the grass. "How is there still sand in my boot... you travelled a long way to get here, sand, but now, out with you!" After the last of the sand trickled onto the lawn, Zaria placed her boot back on her foot and made her way towards the front doors and opened them, taking in the grandeur of the hotel-turned-guild hall. Taking her first steps inside the building, Zaria's foot caught the edge of the heavy welcome mat, nearly sending her face first into the floor. After a brief hop, skip, and jump to steady her balance, the panicked elf composed herself. She waited momentarily to see if staff would arrive, but upon waiting in the empty entrance hall for a few seconds, she moved back to the mat and put it back to it's original position with her foot. Zaria made her way towards the sound of clinking glass and low chatter as she made her way to the lounge, taking in the elevated space and decor with a large smile. She placed her heavy looking bag down with ease and took a seat at a bench, resting her sheathed sword against the table. Finishing the last of the water in her travel bottle, she took in a deep breath and relaxed. "One journey ends, and another begins." Zaria Karana Joins Heroica!

  4. A little late to the discussion, but I remember having this set as a kid and loving it immensely. It's a bit blocky looking by today's standards, but as a kid this provided countless hours of fun, along with the rest of the Dino Island line, which is where most of my Adventurers collection came from. Thanks for the review and the trip down memory lane!
  5. Well, there's two ways you could do so to the best effect. The first is that you could run a quest on the planet you've created. If your collection size is an issue, I'm certain you could work with another member of the community to build you sets to help tell a story here. The second is to create a character from your world to use as your player character and have that be the way you bring this concept into the game. There's some interesting concepts present that would shape a character's outlook on the world. And I didn't see Duvors' post on the topic and I have indeed been sniped!
  6. Hey, dangerous dice, this is a pretty cool concept! The team is incredibly close to launch, and we're not taking in any more lore concepts for the game at launch. However, if you want to see your concept in the game, we suggest you join us at launch to include your concept into the ever growing world we hope to create, either in a quest or as part of your characters backstory! We are incredibly excited to share our work with the community, and we'd love to have you add Jormkifar to the universe we're building.
  7. Your work is so much fun. I love seeing this get updated and where things are going. Awesome stuff!
  8. I feel like a Tortuga-esque pirate colony could be interesting. Not a place to go conquering, but a location that can facilitate a number of different story beats. I feel like a Handsome Jackpot Casino from Borderlands 3 vibe could be pretty engaging. The location is partially decked out with glitzy, kitschy neon lights, almost a 60's Las Vegas look, while the rest of the spaceport is seedy tunnels in the underbelly of the casino and flotillas of bulk cruisers and fighter jets of the smugglers and cutthroats that operate the locale. I feel like it could make for a fun returning locale.
  9. What I’d like to see for our galaxy is an inner and outer rim, sort of like Star Wars. The inner rim are worlds set in stone, a little bit. They have named major spaceports, ecosystems, and inhabitants, as well as culture laid out. These planets are designed to be open enough that game masters have enough liberty to explore these planets and the stories on them easily enough, while maintaining a consistency to them. If you’re familiar with Age of Sigmar, think of Inner Rim planets like that games Realms: defined enough so you get an idea of what the planet is like, but vague enough for there to be room to explore. The Outer Rim is a space for game masters to go wild and design whatever they like. Over time I imagine the Inner Rim expanding to include planets from the Outer Rim. We can in game explain this as a wiping of records and space maps in a recent conflict by some hostile force, and now the planetary routes need to be charted again. Nurglings got into the wiring, I don’t know.
  10. I imagine there being a difference between divine and arcane magic. Arcane magic is likely drawn from the elements of the cosmos. As for why the gods don’t intervene often, it’s because they themselves still fear whatever Aurorielle fled from: hunters at the edges of the galaxy. They cannot consistently interfere, since they risk revealing themselves to greatly.
  11. I’ve been busy lately and haven’t been able to contribute as much as I want, so I’ll add a concept I’ve had for awhile. The gods of this setting are tangible beings. They are immensely powerful and have the power to bestow blessings and channel their divinity to their priests. This means that, in theory, these gods can be met in-game, their presence able to affect adventures. Aurorielle, one of the oldest gods, is known as the Mother. It is said she fled across space, away from war and found a desolate place in the universe. There, needing a place to raise her unborn child, she created the planets. Her child, born into the world, became the first sun. Or, something like that. ? I love the visual Kid Icarus: Uprising gave, of the gods just looming over horizons, but I also picture more intimate, direct confrontations with them.
  12. I feel like this is best one to choose from. It allows for characters to still fall into classic tropes for certain ancestries (elves, dwarves, halflings, etc) while allowing players to come in with their own unique characters and cultures.
  13. I'm going to try and get that creation story I've been meaning to write up for... awhile... finished.
  14. Like, holy smokes, that looks so good!
  15. Guess who's back? Back again? Kinto's back. Tell a friend. I've been itching to get back into something on Eurobricks, and I'm willing to lend a bit of help. I'm fairly busy at the moment, but hopefully I can lend more help in the future.
  16. Heyo! Things are looking promising! I love Bowser's Castle, and the brick built designs for the characters look great!
  17. What I'm curious about is which sets will the Mario figure be included in? He can't be in all of them, he looks to expensive and sophisticated to include in all of them.
  18. I think that's where I'm the most interested, is in the possibility to make one's own courses. Looking over the video again, it does seem like each section with an activation tile for collecting coins or taking damage is on a round 6x6 tile that is two tiles in height, so you can connect them in any way you see fit, which makes me think the sets can all be combined together. It seems when Mario passes over the tiles, it registers with the Mario figure and tracks whatever it is you're doing, which I think is neat. The video also states "multiple sets shown", so what's being presented is what we can expect from this theme.
  19. This is an incredibly Nintendo thing to release. I'm kind of enamored by it's brazen weirdness, in all honesty. I'm more curious about the actual behind the scenes negotiations between the two companies now than anything else. How did this weird little concept come to fruition? It also sounds like Charles Martinet, the guy who has been voicing Mario for almost three decades has done some voice lines for this, which is neat! I think the tech looks really cool. I have no idea how it's done, but it looks like there's room for customization in being able to make your own "levels", which I think is neat. Is it exactly what I wanted? No, but this still looks really cute. Seems that the set in the video comes with a toad house, a koopa troopa, a monty mole, a shyguy, a blooper, a goomba, Bowser Jr., Yoshi, and Mario. Still calling it as Bowser's Castle, but picturing it in this scale is... honestly kind of endearing.
  20. This looks incredible! I'm not familiar with the source material, but you've done an incredible job translating the source material into model form. Awesome stuff!
  21. I think the strength of this theme really comes down to two points: it's minifigures, and it's ability to get across locations in the series well enough. I'm calling it now: the big set of this wave is going to be Bowser's Castle. Black, dark grey, dark green, red, and orange in colour scheme. Collapsing bridges, fire ball shooters, the fire bars, a cage to put Princess Peach in: I can visualize it pretty clearly. I'm also going to predict that one of the sets will be a ghost house, another iconic locale from the series. I think ultimately if Lego can pin down what's associated with Super Mario into a set, they'll do great. But still, that potential minifigure series has me salivating at the lips. Here's hoping it's not confined simply to Super Mario and we some other Nintendo characters in minifigure form.
  22. This could be huge. Gimme some more Nintendo figures, Lego! Gimme dem Squid Sisters!
  23. “Ah, the circle of life!” Dunola commented. “Let’s hope that with the Sabrillo out of its egg it won’t be going to someone’s dinner plate anytime soon.” “Well, I wouldn’t get too attached to the cute little thing, Enron. We do need to return him to our contact.” Dunola gave a grin towards the creatures active nature. There was a sense of melancholy lingering in Dunola’s mind as she watched the last sabrillo enjoy the wonders of life, but she was happy to at least see it given a chance to do something with the opportunity given to it.
  24. Dunola nods towards Enson, accepting her share. "Thank you for the... curious device, Enson. Now, let's see about this..." Dunola raises an eyebrow looks over the cloaking device using her engineering knowledge, hoping to figure out it's capabilities. "I don't know. Once I've got this figured out, I intend to do a once over of the ship and see if anymore of Cydonian operatives are crawling about."
  25. I mean, this is why we're running the test quest: to find bugs and fix them. I'd rather address issues in the system now, then later.
