  1. If someone could make a quest about sheep wrangling, it would be most appreciated.

  2. I think Karie's looking for a nice light quest next. After the nightmarish events of 56, the absolute hell of 62, and the emotional roller coaster of 70, I think Karie's going to want a quiet quest, perhaps out and about finding sheep lost in a field. We need more quests that feel somewhat mundane, like 61: Grim Grinning Ghosts, 57: Green and Gone, heck, 1: Harvest Time. Sure there was the risk of something bad happening in all those quests, but there was a sense of the day job-ness I wish there was more of in Heroica. You won't always be off saving the country from the vicious Gnoll hordes. Sometimes the local village just needs some bandits dealt with, or perhaps a highway is being held up. I think with all the epicness going on, we're missing some of the charm of simple quests. Not to go totally of topic, but Goblet of Fire Voldemort: Scary, Scary, Scary!!! Deathly Hallows Voldemort: What a goof!
  3. I actually planned none of that! Endgame baited me with a trail of bread crumbs and essentially dropped the question: Would you like to join the Syndicate? I have a lot to say about 70, but I'll hold it in until the quest is finished, but I will say this so far: Endgame, I think this is your masterpiece quest. Karie's only real flaw is actually similar to Masson's: she blames herself for just about everything that happens to her. It gets even more messed up when you realize that she may be responsible for the death of one of the two people who died in her monologue on the five people who cared for her. And yes, I'd love for Karie to meet Fleur a second time, essentially since both are at this point very connected characters. I'd put Fleur on Karie's list of people she has a vendetta against, but she thinks she's residing in Davy Jone's Locker! I think so too! You know, you provide me with so much content Flipz, I should just ask you how to play Karie! "Oh Magic Flipz Ball, what do I do now!" Nothing "The Magic Flipz Ball has spoken!"
  4. Well Karie's not the most stable of people neither. Birds of a feather! It'll be interesting watching this relationship actually, since after 70, I have semi-full reigns over Masson. The relationship isn't my biggest concern as of right now in terms of Karie's progression. Romance is great, as long as it's not the focus. I do intend for Karie and Masson to have their strolls through the park, but she's still a Heroica member first, and not a Bella Swan. As well, BAAAAAM! I think I out-stole a quest from Flipz!
  5. "Thanks, Masson, I hope so too." Karie gave Masson a soft smile before getting her mind back into the oncoming fight.
  6. "I can her you alright. Keep talking, I've already hit emotional rock bottom. You're only digging yourself a deeper grave the way you're going." Karie was ready for the ensuing battle.
  7. OOC: Because wuv happened, that's why.
  8. Karie was also in a relationship before Masson. At one point.
  9. "She went by the name Violleta. And she was my sister."
  10. "We spill blood, yes, but we want them conscious. These men have harrassed the city long enough, and death isn't the best option for these men." Karie drew Sexy. A gleam of passion in her eyes. "I'm here to avenge Kayla Rayltyn, and it begins with you thugs."
  11. Um, I know Mizuki lends out the gold she earns, and while Karie may be considered a traitorous weasel, she does pull KOed party members out of combat. I guess it's just a male rogue thing.
  12. While not in full support of the your idea, at this point, I feel it's the best if we decide to nerf the rogue at this point in time. I agree with Flipz that we could see stingy behaviour from previously rather admirable rogues, but at the same time I still feel there's a better solution.
  13. Here's something that myself as a QM essentially demands as my one stipulation for whatever we as a collective whole (governed by Supreme Overlord Sandy of course) agree on when it comes to dealing with the rogue's money issue: it has to be easy to calculate. Humanoids aren't the only ones to carry gold though. Dragons, trolls, and other beasts may collect and hoard gold. Same goes for humanoids: not all people in Olegaia carry a fat coin purse with them. I'm not in favor of "only humanoids" since it limits what can and can't be stolen from.
  14. You know what, I got a better idea, why don't we just nerf gold altogether and instead install a socialist system. That way no one has to worry about who gets more gold. I don't mind the level cap, but it's just something else QM's potentially could screw up when calculating hits. Instead of whatever's implemented now, have the amount of gold one takes equal to their level. That's my two cents in the ring.
  15. I was going to give him street clothes and a purple cape. He's rebuildable, just not 100%. The hoods non-existent. "You may kiss the rogue."
  16. *Karie doesn't notice because she's making out with Masson*
  17. Don't worry. I'm not making it Karie's obsession, and I intend to keep it low key. I don't want the romance to take over Karie's character, especially since she said she wants it to potentially work out. She's not fully warmed up to Masson yet, but she does want someone she can work with on the side of Heroica and relate to on a personal level. I should have guessed! The most dreaded cheese salesman this side of the Crystalline Sea!
  18. Karie may be somewhat sexual, but she's not that sexual. Wait, hold on, yes she is. It'll probably be chat and dinner with a bit of making out. Besides, Karie's next big inter-quest hurdle is dealing with a certain someone who's name may or may not rhyme with Baxwell Balderflask.
  19. "I do believe it's ladies first, Masson!" Karie's comment had a playful ring to it as she climbed up the ladder.
  20. They're called Paragons for more reason than one you know! You'd probably do it anyways, but could you post Masson's battle stats after the quest? I'm more than a little interested in what would have went down had Boomingham or Arnulf tried to negotiate.
  21. I have to agree with Scuba. We only have one (two after 70 ) Witches in Heroica, the only Rogue based class that doesn't gain gold. I'm curious to see what happens after this if people branch out to try other classes, which is a good thing.
  22. That's my Masson!
  23. It's only been until recently I discovered how much gold rogues make since I rarely ever roll Shield. As for my opinion on this idea, it would definitely change the game, since a large percentage play rogue based classes. I'm curious if after all this happens, everyone switches their advanced class to something non-rogue related. I'm honestly not here for the stats, I'm here to portray a character, so as long as it doesn't break my character's abilities, I'm fine. I would like to see it not limited to humanoids though, since like Endgame said, it really depends on the quest, and I as a QM, don't like to create battles for a specific party in mind. That's just not my style, and it's too time consuming if a rogue hops on board, and I have to create a whole separate encounter with humanoids just so the rogue can make some quick cash. I'd say QM discretion on anything that's not humanoids, since undead, beasts, and other enemies like unholy and holy monsters might also carry gold.
  24. I don't mind it, although some enemies besides humanoids carry gold. Dragons and Trolls, per example, often collect and hoard gold, so having rogue and gold making classes steal from them makes sense. I really think it should be up to the QM's discretion which enemies do and don't drop gold. There is always an exception to the rule, which I think some may have overlooked. As well, Steal is an issue on a whole other scale. I think it should act like Aim, perhaps? Against humanoids, it steals however many gold, on a roll of Steal against anything that doesn't create a pool of money when hit, it should deal damage equal to level. (or was it WP power? Hmm...)
  25. "I'm with you guys on this. I intend to make it up with you fellows after what I've put you through, and if sending Brier to the slammer will do so, I'll gladly oblige." Karie drew Sexy, tossing it between both hands. "Should we get someone to check up on Charity and the cleric? I don't want them vulnerable down here will the fight goes on." She eyed Boomingham over, he'd been awfully quiet as of late. She took a deep breath and prepared herself for the oncoming brawl.
