Hey, I'm not alone! I actually really liked Pirates 2, as well as 4. They weren't as good as 1, but they were still good movies.

Karie gets a sudden impression of what Arthur's looking for. "Oh." Karie simply stands in the doorway as the party looks about Masson's room. She takes the photo off the wall. "Someone needs to remember his story."

Karie noticed Arthur flicking his compass needle impatiently. The party was, for better terms, lost. "Arthur, you sure your compass works?" Karie walks up to Arthur, her posture still extensively less bouncy than before. "Look, Arthur, just try shaking it or something. Flick it or something."

Once again, sneak peak! This time on consumables! Falana Wine: A fruity wine from Charis. Heals 10 Hit Points and 10 Ether. Chuckola Cola: A strong cream soda-esque beverage. Restores 10 Ether and removes all negative effects Root Beer: The tried and true classic. Restores 10 health, or can be used as a bomb against undead enemies for 20 damage. The Root Beer does not affect non-undead enemies. I intend to throw in a few of each during the quest. Thoughts?

Karie knew who she wouldn't be sharing drinks with anytime soon. "I don't get what's so funny? Unless of course you find pleasure in murder?" Karie comes to the foyer with the rest of the party. The banners were a sight to behold, patriotic Syndicate purple, black and silver. Was Masson a narcissist? Was he the same as Ulric? She must have been blind the first time she went through here. "Great, more stuff I don't remember." Karie checks all the doors in the foyer, figuring out which ones are locked, and which aren't. Should've paid attention when Masson gave me the ten cent tour...

"Like I said, Lawrence, I'm not going to resort to murder as our first, nor second option. Masson is a man, just as much a victim as you claim he is a villain. The Syndicate wouldn't resort to murder, why should you? Masson can be saved, and he can be redeemed, and if you don't give him the chance to do so, what does that make you?" Karie shook her head in dismay. Charity stood in front of her, most likely disappointed in her decision. "Charity, listen, the Syndicate will not last if Masson doesn't change his path, and it will result in the death and imprisonment of many good people. If you won't allow me to go through for the sake of the Syndicate, than for Masson's sake. He wouldn't want anymore bloodshed. The Syndicate can do more good with the law on it's side than without. We would no longer have to hide in the shadows. We could actually change this city for the better and not be hunted down for doing it. Charity, please. You know what the Wolfgang is capable of. Masson may not listen to these guys, but he'll listen to us. Charity, please, Masson can help this city, but he needs support. The Syndicate's support. My support." Karie was practically begging for the Syndicate chef to assist her.

"I doubt there's any food in the mess hall. At least, any cooked food." Karie's mind went back to the delicious steak she had earlier.

"Coast is clear." Karie motions for the rest of the party to follow, and walks into the Training Room, adjusting her hoods line of vision. She looks into the crate on the opposite side of the room.

"They've probably already regrouped. I've never been in the Training Room actually. Jeez, I've hardly been anywhere in this place to be honest." Karie walks towards the Training Room door, putting her hood on at the same time. "I don't know if anyone's in here or not, and it'd look better if I went in first, so the rest of you stay back until I give the signal. It's probably locked, but who knows." Karie attempts to open the door to the Training Room.

I almost feel we as a community should review said items. If an item comes up that the quest master thinks may be broken, he can post a basic outline, and the community as a whole can point out some flaws and suggestions to make it better, like with the Zap-Tap Badge.

OOC: I took a mead and a mulled wine, and it seems that you missed that. "I think I've made it clear why I joined the Syndicate, sir: to axe the Wolfgang. I doubt I'm going to turn around and betray two groups of people today, both twice." Karie looked Nevron over. He would probably rat her out. Maybe even to Patricia. A one on one with the Captain. Not today. "I'm not surprised. Octavyn came off as a bit of an oddball. Oh well." Karie looks at the directions. She wondered where Charity went. "Octavyn was asked to go to the Training Room with two other elites. I don't know where Masson is. But I didn't say that." Karie still felt the effects of her earlier breakdown, but tried to crack a smile.

Karie smiles. "I appreciate it, Em. Thanks." She moves along with the party, cleric in tow into the hall. "Huh. I don't remember this. At all." Karie inspects the plaque.

"Sure thing." Karie picked Sexy up and put it back in it's sheath. She then look herself over. Perhaps Syndicate blue wasn't the most admirable colors, but the outfit was at least comfortable and form concealing. "There's probably a few guys up ahead. Octavyn and a few Elites. Either that or they're with Masson. I'm not sure where we're going in the hideout, but the cleric does. Whenever you're ready." Karie waits for the crew to leave before gesturing Em over to talk. "About what happened. I've been holding up a lot of personal weight these past few years and I suppose I sort of went a little... emotional. I sort of let all of that out when you guys called me out for screwing up. So... yeah. Um... thanks. A lot."

Understandable! I knew what you were trying to do, and I appreciate it! I really hope the two get on another quest, just to see where it leads them.

Karie nodded. "Sure. If you need anything off of me, a mead or a mulled wine, just let me know, but I'd prefer if Masson didn't become another Wolfgang victim gone sour." Karie looked back at the door. "You weren't the only ones expected. Masson said he's got this Wolfgang thug named Brier to show up later. Masson claims to have Wolfgang hostages, which of course he doesn't have. He intends to take care of him before he causes any more misery to this city. I don't know when, but we better talk with Masson sooner than later." OOC: If Arnulf wants the topaz, I'll take it for his 20 gold. He can keep the arm drill.

I love how the huge argument between Arthur and Boomingham goes down, and I'm out doing yardwork.

Karie avoids eye contact with Boomingham. "I don't agree with Masson when it comes to the Harvester. I agree that it must be taken care of. But I can't see another body put into an unmarked tombstone because of Ulric and his goons. Masson has the potential to dismantle the Wolfgang and help this city. I believe this organization can do good and is doing good. Most of the gold gained is given to the poor, along with a large amount of food. However... I do know what the Harvester can do, and what it's capable of. I can't let something like that out on the streets. I screwed up Boomingham, and now I need to fix my mistake, but I will not resort to violence unless it's necessary." OOC: I already own a Topaz as well, and I'm not really needing a second one. Sorry!

Karie gives a weak laugh. "Like I'd ask you to fight after what you've been through." She helps him up, and supports him under her arm. She then downs a mead, nostrum, and a mulled wine. Her attention turns to the party. She avoids eye contact, her head tilted down.

And Karie can officially go to an advanced class! Yay! With that in mind, is Atramor the only other PC to go Witch for an advanced class, or is that just me?

Karie puts her hand out. "No Arnulf, you needed it, there's no need to thank me. Keep it." Karie returns the potion to Arnulf. She then checks on the cleric's condition.

Endgame , your icon. I've been debating my choices and I think Karie's going Witch for her first advanced class, followed by Sorcerer. She's still able to cast newtity on opponents, and it gives me time to pick up some more gemstones.

Karie could tell Arnulf was hurt, badly. She reached into her belongings and pulled out a potion. "Arnulf, you're hurt! Catch!" Karie tosses Arnulf a potion, healing him.
