  1. Karie returns to the hall paler than usual. She sits on the floor by the door and patches her face up with her usual white face paint. After a minutes rest, she takes her cloak off and pulls out a few tools, beginning to work on the door. "Tell a werewolf to fix a set of doors and does he do it? Noooo! God, why does everything have to catch up to me now!" The ambiance of Karie working on the door softly drifts through the hall.
  2. Everything Flipz said, minus the by about the ether increasing items. Nothing I disagree with in the changes. Everything makes sense, and I think the ether class changes were necessary.
  3. I just imagined Artisan being more... I don't know... typical? With either hammers and brushes to conjure things and heal allies through art. It's just some of the class abilities like Bargain and Shopaholic seem like something I'd expect in a Merchant class. Oh well, that was just my thought on things.
  4. Lucky son of a- Do enjoy the show!
  5. As everyone has said, way too OP. The Upgraded Hit is almost unnecessary since everyone going into the class will be able to easily afford all the items at this rate, and the times six is ridiculously powerful. Enhancement is essentially waiting to be abused in the Fields. A lucky player could easily reach extremely high WP if the die roll in their favor. Perhaps a temporary enhancement would work better? Enhancement increases a weapons WP by one and stays on until the end of a battle. That seems a little more fair. Now onto my biggest complaint, the shield: it's insane. I have never been one for adding more dice into a roll, and the class is doing just that. Bedroll: My complaint is why does it restore ether? Shouldn't restore health? Shovel: I like the idea, but it seems like a hassle for QMs to decide elemental terrain and enemy types at this point. Magnifying Glass: I'm actually okay with this one. However, make it do ONE of the three effects instead of all three. Telescope: Once again, this one's not bad. Compass: Way too OP. If this is the case, it should drop nothing since it's been teleported away, with all it's loot, or return in three rounds time. It's removing a tough enemy, so the party can deal with weaker ones. Pickaxe: This is my biggest complaint with the class. The fact that it can pull up gems and admantite shards is almost insane. The complaint I have with this is similar to the discussion we had with rogues. Why have other classes when Artisans can pull gems and admantite and gold out of the ground? Add that with Shopaholic, and we don't have any need for any other class. As well, why is it called Artisan? It doesn't seem to me like I'd associate these actions and abilities with an Artisan. Now, despite all that, I love the rest of the job traits and Bargain! Those are really cool, and really creative! Sorry to sound so bleak and oppressing, but as everyone has said, the class is broken, and it needs work.
  6. Karie, not sure she wants to know the answer to the question, turns about and heads to the door. "If you wanna talk Arthur I'll be at my place, I have some errands to run." Karie opens the door, only for it to fall from it's hinges and nearly crush her. "Someone really ought to fix that door." Karie reupholsters the door, deciding to grab some screws and new hinges while she was out. Karie leaves the hall, cape billowing behind her.
  7. "I suppose one does. Then again considering my previous profession, it happened to me more often than not. Singing out for no apparent reason besides a character having to explain his or her emotions." Karie looks at Arthur worryingly. She had a gut feeling he was going to do something stupid. "You have feelings towards me, don't you?"
  8. Is so hungry he could eat a dodongo.

Octoroks. Eat octoroks, bomb some dodongos.

  9. Sarsaparilla. It also gives you sass.
  10. OOC: Johon is talking to me. Drake is the one dreaming of donuts. Karie hears the strangest thing: singing. She looks about, trying to find the cause of the singing, only to find Arthur mournfully trudging through the hall. She questions whether or not she should speak since the previous nights events, but something was bothering Arthur. "You have a decent singing voice, Arthur."
  11. Karie looked over at the Hinckwell assistant, slightly peeved. "Dill's trying to get more people for some crusade into troubled markets. Fine, if you have no one else, I'll sign up, but my preference is for someone else to go. I'd rather not head out after only just coming back." Karie signs up for 76, but her preference is for someone else to go if possible.
  12. Karie perks up at the sound of Elgar's coin purse being removed. "Wow that's a lot of money. Um, wow, I didn't expect this to be such a desirable item! Well... um... no, sorry Johon, I don't think I could sell it. Sorry. I just purchased it not even a few hours ago and I feel I can't just sell it off so soon. Look, I'm sorry, but not at the moment." Karie felt slightly sorry for what she purchased. She hoped it wasn't a prearranged purchased they had agreed to.
  13. "Oh, hey Johan, sorry I didn't hear you, I had some shopping to do. I'm still on the fence on whether or not I want to join, although compared to every other non-elf, I do have somewhat of an advantage over them." She holds up her newly acquired mask. "I find it a little out of my style, at least for now. I had a... rather eventful quest just recently, yeah, and I'm looking for something a little low key." Karie awkwardly looks about. Boomingham's lack of appearance in the hall after she had returned worried her. Lawrence the mighty paladin, potential slayer of witches. She felt that joining the Syndicate was the right decision, but at what cost?
  14. No love for A Grave Problem? Personally, I'm stoked to see what you have in store Sandy! You did an excellent job with Father McCreary, and I can't wait to see who, or what's behind the empty graves.
  15. Where did all of the Rainbow Dash icons come from?

  16. Alright, before Endgame thinks I forgot him, let me write out my thoughts on 70. I've been catching up on my anime, and I'm almost through Madoka Magica. First of all, I gotta plug this in: go watch it if you haven't already. Now. Sorry, just really getting into a show that really deserves to be shouted out. Now, my feelings on this quest. I adore it. I think it's quite possibly one of my favorite quests to date. Just everything about this quest: yes. First of all, as I stated before, I had no clue what you were doing from the beginning, and although I feel honored to have a quest that was slightly centered around Karie, me nor Endy planned any of it. Unfortunately Zepher has already stated everything I wanted to, so if you want to know what I thought, go read that. However, I'll talk a little bit on the quest. I'm not one for battles, so I don't dwell on them, but still, they were good, and like Zepher said, the loot was excellent. They were tough, but winnable. Not much else to say, because that's not why I play Heroica. Plot. Well, it was awesome. Really. You tied everything nicely with a red ribbon after all was said and done, the characters I thought were great, and I was constantly on the edge of my seat. Once again, I'd say more, but it's already been said. The characters were great, and I'm more than intrigued now looking at what happened with everyone else in the inn. You showed an inkling of Masson's love for Karie really early on, and I loved that. It was a rough ride for everyone, not just Karie, so I'm glad that in the end, everyone's character has chnaged in some way. You really out did yourself Endgame. Consider this my personal gratitude for what you're partially responsible for: Karie. If those dice didn't get Karie hexed back in 56, I don't think she'd be the same weirdo we all know today, and this quest solidified her even more. She's a traitorous little weasel apparently, so congrats Endgame, you deserve a cookie. As well, .
  17. Karie walks into the market and back into Fabian's. "Back so soon?" "Yeah, this armor's not really worth anything to me. You want?" Fabian looks the leather armor over and shrugs. "It's resellable." He hands over 15 gold in exchange for the armor, making her total 296. 15+281=296 She heads out of Fabian's and straight to Portia's. The shop owner looks less than amused. "Make it quick, I don't have all day." "Well... um, in that case, I'll take two grand tonics, a remedy, a phoenix essence, and three grand potions. Oh, throw a nostrum in there too." Portia prepares the order as well as rings up the bill. Karie suddenly notices some new items lying about the stall. "Oh, what do we have here!" Portia swats Karie's hand away as she hands over the small wooden box full of bottles. "That'll be 185 gold pieces." "This is such a rip." Karie hands over the 185 gold pieces, leaving her with 111 gold. She shrugs off the money and loiters back to the hall. 60+10+50+30+35=185 296-185=111 Gold
  18. "Thank you, Mr. Gligin, and I hope your business venture goes well!" Karie hands Elgar 35 gold, leaving her with 246 gold left. She picks up the four venoms and the Trickster's Mask of the Elf, and goes on her way. She then leaves the hall, and back out to the market. Again.
  19. Who ever said this was permanent? If this doesn't work we can always come back and try another strategy. I say we see what happens in a few quests time, and if it doesn't work, then we'll come back and try something else.
  20. Karie checks the notice board, and looks about the ad. She walks over to Mr. Gligin's table. "Hey, I heard you're selling stuff. Mind if I browse?" She browses his wares focusing on five items. "I'll cut you a deal. 25 gold for the mask, and 10 gold for all the venom. You're still making a profit. Deal?"

Fleur's not even angry with you. Nope. Not one ounce of her all-hating psychy is devoted to ruining the lives of those heroes that opposed her that night. She definately has not devoted your names to memory. She's above all that. ;)

  22. Haldor's words hit Karie hard. She took a deep breath. "No, she never beat me up. I do remember her threatening me on multiple occasions. She's... a very outspoken woman. She often called me a "street urchin" or a "good-for-nothing tramp". I realized why just recently. She treated my older sister perfectly fine. It was me she didn't like. She did almost hit my sister for sticking up to me, until my adoptive father stepped in. I suppose blood is thicker than water." Karie lingers on the thought before pulling herself out of it. "My sister's still out in Charis I believe, finishing with her studies. We got along really good. I don't know if she figured out I was adopted, but either way she didn't care." Karie chuckled as well. "It's fine. You're okay here." "Opera? You don't come off as an Opera buff. It usually was a good laugh, what with the stuff I did back at the club and all."
  23. "Countless occasions. Too many to count. I could go into great detail but I'll spare myself the torture by telling you of one tale. When I flunked university and dropped out, during my pickpocket days, I attempted to get myself an acting gig. Needless to say I got one: as a performer for a children's play based off the legends of Terra Chima. I still have the outfit somewhere in my house. I don't know why I still have it, I just do." Karie swills her orange juice about, trying to listen in on Arnulf's conversation.
  24. Karie shrugged. "Well, I'm alive. That counts for something!" She chuckled as she put her feet up on the table. "I've actually been doing alright for once. I haven't been outright humiliated in a while which is good, and I've got some new duds. I can heal people now, which is nice, and I've got some nifty poisoning powers. Yeah, I'm surprising not overtly sour about anything." Karie tries her hardest to avoid Arnulf, despite being right next to her, talking to Haldor and Thailon.
