  1. Welcome to my luverly home!

  2. "Yeah, he was here last night. I suppose he left the bouquet after I fell asleep." Karie stretches on her bed and lazily kicks her shoes off. She didn't know what kind of elderly old man Sorrow was like. She sighed, a bit of annoyance in her voice. "We didn't do anything sexual if that's the answer you're looking for."
  3. Karie continues to rummage through her pockets, sounding a little surprised. "Um... well that's... different." She finally manages to find the key and opens the door. "There's not a lot here, but make yourself comfy." Karie walks into the room and takes her cape off, resting it on the back of a chair, accompanying a small table next to a counter to the right, piled with dirty dishes. A squat stove sits in the left corner closest to the entry door. On the left wall rests a large walk in wardrobe. A section of the room is walled off, leading into a bathroom. Karie goes and lays on a single bed in the back of the room face first, a chest sits at the end of it. "Drinks are in the ice box under the sink by the counter. Washroom's over there. I only got the two chairs by the table but I intend to get a couch or something for guest to sleep on. Feel free to look about. I'm going to just lay here for a minute. I feel exhausted. OOC: If there's anything in the studio you want to look, feel free to do so.
  4. "No, not really. I just... it's nothing." Karie stops in front of a three story building. "Here it is. I rent the top floor. The owner said it used to be an artist's studio, but it's now got full appliances and what not. The entrance's is actually up that set of stairs in the alley." Karie still feels unnerved being with her great times seventeen relative, but tries to at least keep the peace and allows him to follow her. As she makes it to the top of the staircase and begins to search her person for her key. "I know I have it on me somewhere... So we're you always undead, or were you at one point alive, or what?
  5. Wonderful first quest Joe! Everything I wanted to say has been said for the most part, so yeah, excellent job all around!
  6. "A little contradictory, don't you think?" Karie gave a sarcastic grin. It vanished quickly though as she remembers what happened. "I intended to go to my place, maybe get hammered, tipsy, drunk, something along those lines. I got a few bottles of hard lemonade I was saving for a rainy day. It's just up this street."
  7. "... Well, yeah. I gess that's what I'm feeling. Usually when you threaten someone, they don't come running to your side." Karie was still a little unnerved by the man following her. If he was her relative, he was certainly more humble than she was. "So what are you anyway... I'm sorry, I don't even know you're name."
  8. "Well, if you call being turned into a newt exciting, sure." I just tried to kill him and he thinks we can just be all chummy? Perhaps it's some old-timer thing."
  9. "Alright, I suppose." This is awkward.
  10. Karie pockets the hood, and avoids eye contact with Arthur. Karie turns around and heads in the direction leading to the Three Gates district, shoving her hands in her pockets and facing the opposite direction as she speaks up. "Not... not now. I have a lot to think about. If anyone wants to follow me, I won't stop you." I'm such an idiot...
  11. Karie takes a moment to think things through, slightly taken back. "Killing you would get you nowhere. So I'll simply ensure you remember something. The last time I saw her, she was eleven years old. I was three. The last thing she told me? My mother and father loved me, and she always would too. I'll never know now thanks to you if the Wolfgang did truly corrupt her, or if what she said was true. If there was still some sense of affection towards me. I'll never know." She lets her hand off of Sexy and turns to Arthur. Karie cautiously grabs the mask out of Arthur's hands and rubs it through her fingers. "You held onto this. Why?"
  12. "Put that thing down!" She motions for him to put his hand away as she readies herself. "Guilty or not, you're responsible for what happened! You had every right to stop Patricia from killing her, and you didn't! You stood there as she ran her through! You must have had a suspicion? Nothing at all? Don't give me that rubbish about her being her today! She's dead, and you're part of the blame! I swore I would avenge my sister for her murder, because that's what it was: murder." She prepares to draw Sexy, but sees Arthur near the doors, heavily preparing himself with scrolls and gems. "Arthur? What the hell are you doing? This... this doesn't concern you!!"
  13. It's the one after this one I hope Boomingham gets in on, since I intend to nod back to his exploits more than once. However, I think you'd like my upcoming quests. It's a bit darker than what I've done before in terms of its tone, but it's not a sob-fest by any standard. As well, the finalized name for my next quest is "Thick as Thieves". I'm not buying into it. STAB!
  14. Karie leads the man to the front lawn of the hall, beneath an old tree. "You don't know how much I want to kill you right now." She turns around to face the man. "You're responsible not only for the death of your ancestor, but the death of my sister." She stares him down, trying to find his eyes under the glow of his hood. "You killed my sister. And I don't care if you're my great-whatever grandfather, you murdered her. You admitted it."
  15. Karie nods as Johon places the extra money on the table. "I could have paid it off myself, but thanks." It was hard for Karie to swallow the info being directed towards her. She found it hard to breathe. Emotions built up inside her. Sadness, anger, hatred, regret, angst, hope, all bubbling in her. "Look, here isn't the best place to talk. Why don't we... um, step outside." She turns to Johon, clearly upset. "It would be best for you to stay out of this."
  16. "Wow. Um, that's quite the story, Johon." Karie feels somewhat guilty for most of the people in the hall. Sure her up bringing wasn't the best, but here people were with family deaths and time travel and- ugh. It was almost too much to bear. Karie pulls her coin pouch out as she notices the individual walking towards her. "I still don't have all the funds, but here, this should be half of what I owe you." Karie begins counting out coins, summing up a nice pile of one hundred. As the man continues though, she slows down her counting, taking in all he's saying. She stops at the one hundredth coin and stares blankly at the pile, leaning back in her chair, dumbstruck by the revelation. "How are you related to Kayla?"
  17. Remembers he still owes money on the catsuit.

  18. Sign up for my next quest. I intend to throw in some Zeigfried rep, if you fulfill certain requirements.
  19. Karie slinks up to Romulus, none to impressed. Romulus was affiliated with the Wolfgang after all. "Both Venoms." She places the money down and notices the strange hooded man who sold her the catsuit. She knew she had to repay him, but not in the company of Boomingham. And who was he talking to? Another woman? She must be either incredibly naive, or incredibly dim.
  20. Release the Kraken!
  21. "Boomingham. Lawrence Boomingham." Karie took a large drink out of her mug then set it on the table. "So, um... Where you from? I don't need to know every inch of your past, but where you used to live before joining here would be nice to know. If you want to talk. If you don't want to share I understand to I'm just... A little curious... is all."
  22. "I don't care, no dairy though." Karie takes her mug and begins to drink away. She looks back and notices an untidy Boomingham drinking away on some tea. "Do you know his story, the paladin's? He runs me off the wrong way."
  23. "My adoptive mother reinforced the idea I was inferior to my sister and a waste of space from an early age. It didn't help my life went downhill after I dropped out of University. Considering hat I've done these past few years and how many times I've messed up... yeah, I have more than one reason to think that way." Karie focuses on the door as she speaks with Johon. "I suppose that's one way of looking at things. However, since I moved here, I've been trying to look forward and ahead, and not behind. I really don't have any goals, and maybe that's a good thing. Right now, despite all the stuff that's happening to me, I'm legitametely somewhat content. I have a boyfriend who might actually stick around, I have two organizations to back up on with friends in both, and I've actually gotten my emotions off my chest and told them to a friend. Thanks, Johon." Karie smiles as she puts the final hinge in and motions for Johon to let go. "Good as new! The other one looks fine to me for the time being. Thanks for the chat. It felt liberating. Why don't we go and get a drink, eh? That was a little tedious and somewhat tiring." Karie grabs her cape and bag of tools and walks up to the bar.
  24. Finally fixing that stupid door...

  25. Karie drops the hammer as Johon speaks up. "Oh, Johon! No, actually I could use your help. Here, hold the door up while I put the new hinges in." Karie meticulously begins the task of fixing the door, motioning for Johon to assist, her voice droning into monotony. "Struggling with? Well, lots of things recently. I lost a friend, potentially broke a man, learned my sister is Violetta the Cat Burglar and that I'm adopted, became a nervous wreck, after all of the previous things happened, I'm still trying to commit to a possibility that I'm not a screw up." Karie pauses from her work. "Apparently I keep my emotions to myself, and last night I snapped." Karie continues to work on the door.
