Karie ponders to herself, thinking the lay of the land over. She felt a sense of nervousness of heading to unknown territory. It was something she thought she'd get over, but the conditions made her all the more paranoid. "Well, we can devise a plan on the way to Moone. I'm all for heading out." She hoped the company on the ship would be good, although she felt she wouldn't get along with the elf nor Lind. She was surprised the elf hadn't even introduced herself. She looked arrogant and self important. Just the kind of people Karie enjoyed knocking down a peg. "Hey, Miss Moon Elf? You got a name?"

Otherwise, give your stats a once over to ensure everything is finalized. McCreary huffs as if he's out of breath. The pastor had seemingly seen better days. His foot still looked badly mangled. "Althior, I'm glad to have you aboard. You were of much assistance last time. I should mention Violet continues to speak highly of you. As for why I believe she's in Fellcrest... I don't have any concrete information. However, after the event last winter, I eventually decided to visit the Oracle at the Temple of Fabulla Sibylla here in Eubric. You may perhaps know that she is able to see into the future, but here responses to questions are often more cryptic than one would hope, as in my case with her. Even when I pleaded with her to be more specific, she simply repeated what she told me in an almost lucid state of being. When I spoke with her about my daughter, she had this to say to me; Your daughter's well being lies across the sea, to the place where the dead go to live. Ruin and rot will come together to form a tragedy soaked in a 1000 years of blood. Do not wait for the Angel of Death, for the Angel of Death waits for no one. Although I do not understand what the last two verses mean, referencing an Angel of Death or 1000 years of blood, I do understand that the place where the dead go to live is a necropolis. There's only one I can think of that's known far and wide, and that is Fellcrest in the Babeleth Darklands. I would not send you there unless I feared my daughter's disturbing ambitions of turning Eubric into an undead haven were real, which is why I need you there, and posthaste." McCreary chuckles. "Well, I'll be honest... I've been angrier at people for doing lesser things. Like those Young Wolf Brigade clowns spewing rhetoric at the gates of the grounds. Boy, have I not wanted to hit kids with this cane more than this since... I honestly can't say when." "As is a pleasure to see you, Mr. Wineghilm" McCreary responds. "About what in particular? I'm going to assume some of you aren't up to speed on my daughter, or Fellcrest, so I'll just explain both. Amber Makepeace, as she called herself before she died up north in Värtland four years ago on a quest from Heroica, was my daughter. She somehow managed to become undead and is now plotting to turn Eubric into a Necropolis. She has a spell that she can use to do so, she simply doesn't have the components, nor the proper place to amplify it. The spell has the ability to turn the dead into sentient beings who remember their previous actions and life, not like a necromancers abilities, who raise dead as thralls. Raising someone into a thinking, functional undead is no easy feat. Once you find her location, you must stop whatever it is that she's doing. She could be amassing resources, making contacts, or even biding her time. Now comes the part that makes your task... interesting. Fellcrest is a necropolis, meaning it is mainly inhabited by the undead. Vampires, ghouls, ghosts, zombies, you name it, it's probably there. To top it off, the residents are apparently none to fond of the living, so I'd watch your back there. To top things off, it's in the Babeleth Darklands. I've only heard stories about that place, but from what I've heard, it's not a pleasant place. It also doesn't help that heroes apparently helped the Wolfgang blow up the Tower of Babel, and from what I've heard, certain groups are none too pleased. You're going to have to lay low, and try not to get yourselves noticed. I haven't hired anyone to assist you, and I know of no guide, so once you're in, you're on your own." As the pastor finishes talking, a quick flash of light radiates behind him followed by a burst of wind which shakes the lights in the trees. "Haha! About time! She's done!" A male voice calls out from further into the wooded area. Sorrow and Throlar can almost pin a name to it... but who? McCreary grumbles. "It's a good thing I'm not paying for his services. There's not a whole lot of time. Is there anymore questions, or shall we move on?" McCreary asks, motioning to path laid out behind him which leads further into the wooded area. -

Perfect. I'll allow some time for everyone to confirm before I begin to respond. -
It's not a six you roll, it's a 1. If I remember correctly, the ruling was if a magic user doesn't have enough ether to target each affected member, nothing happens, but the page on Clerics hasn't been changed to reflect that.

Tools etc.: Bedroll, Magnifying Glass, 4 Bones, Deaddy Bear (Causes 45 damage and doomed but has 1/6 chance to break whenever used) The air was muggy and arid with not a breeze to be felt. Summer was here, and with it brought the attraction of the Luminous Passage. Multiple different coloured lamps hung from the canopy above the party as various luminescent insects flittered about. There was a reason this place was popular among couples, but the party wasn't here for that reason. The party notices a man in dark robes and a cane, his hair tied back into a ponytail. His scruffy beard showed age. He waved the party down and looked sternly at them. "You're late." He states, sounding relative dour. "Although, it doesn't matter in hindsight, considering the man I hired to get you to Fellcrest is taking his sweet time. Although I know some of you I don't recognize a few of you. My name is Father McCreary, and I'm the pastor at the Way's End Cemetery here in Eubric. Needless to say I'm glad you've arrived as things have only gotten worse since I've contacted you last. Perhaps I should explain some things, but I'll wait until you're all ready." QM Note: Good evening. Sorry for the delay, but I've had a busy day. Check your stats and make sure their good. Asphalt, is there an image I can use for your figure? I'm not going to be using the one in your stats as it's too big, unfortunately. We've got an interesting party, so let's get this show on the road!

Karie listens to the king and the Sandman as they explain the situation. "Okay, so our goal is getting to the Palace, but you want us to check on various areas and people on our way there. Stay out of the fog, and don't be outside at midnight. Where will we be landing on Moone? I can't assume the Docks... unless that's the only place we can get onto the island."
-
"Skrall! Glad you could join us! It's good to know I can count on someone here." She tries finding a way to greet him in a compassionate way, but can't determine what the best course of action would be and leaves it. She turns to the half elf, whom she had never met before. "I don't believe we've met before. My name is Karie. Maybe you've heard me mentioned? Seems most people have around the hall..." "Is there a problem, Mr. Sandman?" Karie asks. She painfully wanted to mention to find her a man with wavy hair like Liberachi to the masked mercenary, but she determined it unintelligent rather quickly.
-
Karie manages to regain her posture, still seemingly entertained. "My apologies, as a thespian, I find Lind's antics more than just insulting." Karie replies, listening to the Sandman's reply but deciding not to respond to it. She merely shrugs and looks around for other party members.
-
"Then why do they call you the "Sandman"? Let me take an educated guess... you bring people nightmares?" She asks, sounding curious. She looks at Faust after his remark at her sheep. "This thing has taken on sea monsters and lived to tell the tale. It also a gift from the most exalted Sheep Tribe, so I'd be careful what you say to it, as it is probably some kind of sheep royalty. Probably." Karie responds, defending her sheep as it stands and munches on grass poking through the cobblestone. "You want timely heroes, you ain't getting them. We're weird like that. I enjoy punctuality, because I believe in first impressions, but at the same time sometimes I can't help but get sidetracked. You know what I mean? Either of you?" Karie asks curiously as she listens to the new hero walk up and confront the two men. She immediately recognized him and began to chuckle. Then a low laugh. As Lind bows his head in shame she begins roaring in hysteria, slapping her knees as water fills her eyes. "That- that whole Charisian elf schtick was you! Oh, you are rich!" It takes Karie a good minute to calm down.
-
OOC: Karie hasn't bought anything. Thanks for having me for the gazillionth time. Karie makes her way to the docks, , not realizing until it was too late how ironic it was."So you're King Faust? Can't say I've met royalty before. Name's Karie. Oh, and the sheep's Baaffy." She nods to the Sandman, but doesn't say anything. "First... again... Am I early, or is everyone else late?" She asks, looking somewhat cheeky.
-
Karie gets up from her seat and nods. "Thank you for your time, Arthur. We'll have to get together and talk when I have some spare time. And best of luck in that town you're going to, Sorrow." With that Karie makes her way out of the house in a rather rushed manner. Realizing she is to go off to Moone, she spends a peaceful night with her family before needing to head out. Despite being in a good position, Karie still felt antsy. She wondered just what was going on with the Sandman, and his correlation with Masson, as well as the safety of her and her husband's child.

If you were under the impression that the sign ups for 137 had been extended, I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking straight. Then again, that's a typical thing for me to do.
-
A drunken orc stumbles into the hall and pins a notice to the board before making his way out. QM Note: Hey guys. Just a heads up, the quest goes up tomorrow. I've got some last minute stuff to do, and I'm away from my collection. That being said, hope your ready for some spooky scary skellingtons and stuff.
-
Welp, this'll be interesting. A level 1 with a level 30.
-
EDIT: Retconned. Chosen Heroes will be put up today.
-
"Yes, he was originally into engineering and what not, but life is unpredictable at times. I mean, I'm a shining example of that." Karie laughs awkwardly before realizing she would have to fess up sooner rather than later. She scrunches her face up as she debates her words. "Masson... he's... alright." Karie responds. "I never said you didn't have hobbies. Although I didn't take you for golf."
-
"No. He'll probably go out and tinker with things. He likes machines and what not." Karie replied.
-
"Not too long ago. A few weeks? I came back from the fields and a few days after that me and Masson rushed to the Sisters of Danab." Karie replies. "Oh, well that's good to hear. I've heard so much about this dragon of yours." Karie states, sounding interested. "I'll be honest, I've never met a dragon before, and I'd prefer to at least keep them at arms length away. Not that I have a thing against them, it's just... you know... they're big. And they're scary. Oh, please. Rachelle's been in the house for at least three weeks, and she eats and she cries and she sleeps and then it repeats. After I get home from this dragon slaying nonsense- sorry, if I get on this expedition to slay this dragon, then I'm giving Masson some time to do what he likes."
-
Karie nods at the teacup, but looks a little dissatisfied at the tea. She'd of preferred some form of liquor, but tea it was. Karie looks to Arthur. "Oh, good, good. Masson's handling Rachelle just fine." Karie deeply considers bringing up Lawrence and what he did to her husband, something she'd wanted to do for what felt like forever, but instead merely stirred her tea.
-
"You couldn't of send me a Z-Mail?" Karie replies. She taps Althior on the shoulder and points to Calamity. "See if you can talk some sense into her." Karie states. She then makes her way back to Vind. "I don't know if I'll see you for awhile, but take care, Vind, it was a pleasure speaking to you." Karie then makes her way out of the hall and begins walking in the direction Althior told her. After some time, Karie makes it to address, she knocks on the door and waits, tapping her foot on the pavement, looking around the building.
-
Karie does not respond to Calamity, but glares at her. She'd had just about enough of Calamity's vile nonsense. "He was. I pray you don't have to face something like that. No one should." She looks at Calamity as she says this. "As for her, I say we let her observe us-" Just then the moon elf seems to go ballistic in front of two others. "Well, at least she's not our problem."
-
Karie looks around before continuing. "The Regret was one of Olegaia's greatest terrors. His life was filled with causing death and misery in others. His Oculoid spawn were some of the most detestable creatures on the planet, and wherever he went, suffering and tragedy followed. He's not the kind of person you talk about lightly. In the end, he powered himself up and ripped whatever shred of humanity apart in a two way bid to either take over the planet, or finally end his miserable existence. Needless to say, he's dead and gone, and I was there to see it done. That whole debacle had to be seen through... but it changed me. It changed everyone who went on it." Karie looked down, taking a drink. She looked exhausted just talking about the ordeal. She notices the new girl observing her and Vind. "What's her problem? You know her?" "I find it hard to believe in coincidences nowadays in this line of work." Karie responds, sounding concerned.
-
"Why wouldn't they hire me? I was one of the nine people who defeated the Regret." Karie replied, but there was no hint of pride or boastfulness in her voice.
-
Karie watches the man walk out, glaring at him when his back is turned. "Hmm? Oh, nothing to concern yourself with. Don't worry too much." Karie replies, worried herself. Something screwy was going on, and she wanted to get to the bottom of this.
