Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory
Kintobor replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
OOC: Nope, not at all. If we want to autoroll, let me just make a few adjustments. The Unlucky Horseshoe is returned to me at the end of combat if I don't pick it up, right? "Matthais, switch to Black Adder C! I've got him under control!" Karie readies her aim with Arthur's Horseshoe. "Hold still, cupcake!" Karie grins as she tosses Arthur's Unlucky Horseshoe at the Skeleton Knight. Skrall changes his target to Black Adder B, still attacking from the back row. Battle Order Purpearl Karie Skrall Darksten Matthais Althior On her next and all subsequent turns, Karie attacks using the Blazing Palm. -
Annienal entered the training room, looking for someone to train her. As she looked around she soon confronted by a new face. "Can't say I've seen you in here before. What brings you here?" "Well, I, um..." Annienal took a deep breath, thinking her words over. "I want to be able cast magic. In particular, I want to be able to use these." Annienal shows the redheaded man her gemstones. He looked her over inquisitively. "Well, do you know if anyone in your family were ether users? If not, this may be rather hard." Annienal nodded in disapproval. The man frowned, looking optimistic at best. "Well... let's see what I can do." It took Annienal hours before she's able to even to make a small breeze with her Sapphire. The Copper Fox crossed his arms as the night wore on. "You're going to need to practice and meditate if you want to be able to cast magic. It may take a few weeks, but don't worry too much, you'll get it eventually. For some people it takes time." The Copper Fox sympathetically patted Annienal as she made her way out of the training room. She knew what she wanted to do, what she wanted to become, but her lack of immediate success was disheartening. Annienal made her way back to her small room at the inn. --- Annienal sat in her inn room, looking over her new mask. It was surprisingly heavy for its size. Lifting it up, she placed it over her head, her breathing becoming amplified within. She could hear a low rumble, but not the roar of the elder dragon as she was promised. "Are... are you... are you there? I want... I want to speak with you, Lethauros." Annienal could feel herself beginning to shake with nervous anticipation. She closed her eyes and waits for a response. She breathed heavily, hoping for some sort of guidance. Annienal felt like she sat there for ages, waiting for some sort of a response... --- The next day Annienal returns, dressed in a much more drastic suit of armour. "I took your advice, sir, and I meditated. I'm ready to try again." Annienal stated, sounding surprisingly confident with herself. The Copper Fox readied some targets for her as she began to move the various elements around. She could feel the ether flowing through her body as she shifted around the water in a bowl around her person before shooting it at a target. "Can I, um, have a ruby, please?" The Copper Fox handed her one, and raising it to her mouth she blasted a cone of fire at a target, effectively turning her breath into fire. "Well, Annienal, I can safely say you somehow managed to become effective with the elements overnight. Congratulations, your a Mystic Knight." Annienal shook the Copper Fox's hand and bowed to him before she departed, ecstatic about her newly found ethereal abilities. Annienal makes it back to the hall, but doesn't linger around for long. Instead, she heads to the training room.

Annienal nods her head at Sylph's response and admiring his devotion to his goddess. Masked people always made her curious, and although she still wondered who Sylph was beneath it, she felt better to drop the subject for the time being. "I'm going to head out. I've got some things to take care of. I'll hopefully see you all back at the hall. Um... I'll see you around, Manny... I hope!" Annienal made her way back, feeling anxious most of the way there, not sure of where she needed to go here on out. She had an important choice ahead of her, and she needed time to think about it. Thanks for the quest, Endgame! I had fun! I've got stuff I want to talk about, so I'll post my thoughts in the QM thread in a bit. If you could, can you also post the final stats for the quest, now the loots been divided for the most part? Thanks again! -

Annienal listened to Sylph's response and crossed her arms. "I-... I understand. I will not pry further." Annienal pauses for a moment, looking Sylph over. His voice told her enough not to go into things further... at least for the time being. "I appreciate your honesty with me. Thank you." -

It wasn't noted and changed in the previous rounds stats, and that's what I was going off of. Sorry, I was just a bit confused. Skrall switches to the Hunter's Crossbow and repeats his attack. -

OOC: More than certain Skrall was striking with the Oversized Greatsword, so he should've dealt damage. "Alright, Matthais, keep on the Knight. Althior, move to Skeleton Mage for me while I look for this blasted Horseshoe..." Karie looks for (retrieves) the Horseshoe in the marsh. Same Battle Order -

Annienal hesitantly puts the Bright Polish away. "Um... I think I'm going to sit on it. Why don't you ask me back in the hall?" Putting away her new armour, Annienal keeps her new helmet out, looking it over, it's white sheen sparkling in the sun. She put her dented, rather plain helmet away and began to admire it and the ways the sun reflected off of it. She looked nearly enthralled by it until she snapped out of her slight trance and put it away quickly. She looked to Sylph. She'd wanted to ask him a question for the past few hours. She motioned him over with a worried look. "Sylph, the men who attacked us, this Silvania's Thorn... they wore the same helmets as you, and wore somewhat similar garb. Did you.... did you have some sort of affiliation with them?" -
Everyone can use the item, though, so there's no reason to go loaning out out. Stop trying to snag my shinies. I actually believe that was a result of Guts and Docken inflating the prices of Grating Stones. They paid so much for them that they themselves set the standard price for it. Supply and demand. Also, if Guts and Docken want to pay premium for items, I'm a-okay with that. That's their choice. I could be wrong, but I remembered whenever they were dropped that they were the two that would speak up about buying them off people the most. Sorry if I've remembered wrong, I don't mean to point fingers.

We never received Wing Warrior rep. And it's not rep, you just have access to the class, unlike the seven that pertain to the major factions in Eubric.
-
Toss in some Hinckwell rep, and I'll be all over your quest. You can ostracize me from a group again. Nope. Annienal's going to be using them fully once she gets to Winged Warrior. And before then she's going to pretend to fly with them around the hall.

OOC: WBD has informed us he would be away for a bit, and has asked me to dictate his actions until he returns in a weeks time. Skrall changes his target to Black Adder C, continuing to strike from the back. -

After introducing herself and watching Manny's father get to work, she looks in awe at the armour, her pupils growing like wildfire. She notices the rest of the party looking over it as well, but certain pieces particularly speaking to Annienal. "I'll, um.... I personally want the mask and the wings." Loot Distribution Lethauros Mail +75 of Annienal's gold- Vindsval Lethauros Enforcers + 75 of Annienal's gold- Sylph Lethauros Ring + 75 of Annienal's gold- Throlar Lethauros Crushers + 75 of Annienal's gold- Warlen Lethauros Mask and Fellwings- Annienal "If there's any issue, please let me know. I've tried dividing it as equally as... um, possible. I, um, don't want to seem too greedy, so here, you all can have 75 of my gold, each." 75x4=300 710-300=410 gold "I, um... guess I can talk. What were you willing to trade? Or perhaps purchase?" Taking a quick look on his person, Annienal noticed his gemstones. "How about one of your gemstones for my bright polish?" "I'll, um, take it off your hands, Throlar, um, if that's alright. Or you could maybe sell it to the blacksmith?" -
I wants all the dragon armour.

"Stay off the toads. If you're out of a target thanks to our awesome Assassin, move to an occupied Black Adder. Let's make this happen, guys!" Karie continues to strike the Skeleton Mage from the back row. Battle Order Purpearl Skrall Karie Darksten Althior Matthais -
Aaaaand nerfed.

I know Scuba wants to be the one to hand out the class, but I've been planning a Town Watch Quest that I can stuff in as the reward.

Any possibility for a quest offering Winged Warrior anytime soon? Kind of hoping to get Annienal into it.

Kintobor replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
Annienal continued her gaze at Lethauros before turning back to Vindsval. "Yeah, um, yeah..." Annienal gets up and brushes herself off. "I, um... thank you for the kind words, Vind, I appreciate them. I, um, guess I never got around to telling you that you're a good friend. I, um, I mean it." Annienal began to look through what was dropped and divided the loot between the various party members. Loot Annienal- 50 gold, Underdeveloped Organ (For the Time Being) Vindsval- 50 Gold Warlen- 50 Gold Throlar- 50 Gold Sylph- 50 Gold "I'll hold onto the rest of the loot and we can divide it up once we know what it is." She takes one last look at Lethauros, moving close and removing her glove. She touches his scaly body hesitantly with her palm before quickly putting her glove back on and returning to the rest of the party. Annienal looks at Warlen, surprised by his sorrow. He never really seemed sad around her. It was a curious sight to say the least. "I'm, um, ready to go." -

Annienal takes her dented helmet off after causing Lethauros to drop. She pulls out a cloth and cleans the blood from her sword, but not before putting some of it away in a vial. She felt better and her hearing had returned to her, although she still felt sore in general. "As... as did you, Lethauros. I will consider this among one of the greatest honours to fight you." Although this creature had nearly decimated her, Annienal felt it hard to not get emotional at seeing such an old and noble creature dying. She felt somewhat bad about killing the dragon, but she felt privileged to have been a part of the fight and to witness a dragon in combat. Torn between her emotions, Annienal sits in the courtyard and watches the dragon as it leaves the world. -
If you want some solid advice, keep Mhinak, and take a look at the Advanced Classes. I know you don't like playing a ranged character, but Assassin and Warden have the potential for melee weapons, and Hunter can get some insanely high damage. Whenever you make a character, think about who they are, and why they're that way. I feel Hunter Mhinak or Warden Mhinak would make sense. If you seriously need help, drop me a PM. I've made plenty of RPG characters, and I can lend a hand.

See, here's my issue: if your just going to continually start over, you're missing the point of an RPG. Before hand you said you wanted to play someone besides Salt On Wounds, and now your saying you want to play a class that is exactly what your previous class and character was, which if I remember correctly was a barbarian. Everyone else here is going to tell you similar things, but if you want my opinion; the fun of RPGs is sticking with a character. Even in a game like Skyrim or WoW, the fun of those games are sticking with your choices and sticking to the class you've started as. As much as I would love to play some of the other classes and portray different characters, I've created Karie and Annie. It's more rewarding to stick to these characters and level them up and see them grow both in their abilities and their story. If you keep acting all wishy washy, you're not going to have nearly as much fun as others are in this game.
