  1. OOC: With a potion, right? Mystic knights can't heal through magic. Karie catches her share and nods towards Skrall in appreciation. Noticing everyone else acting busily, Karie pulls out her pocket mirror and begins to touch up her white face paint.
  2. QM Note: I'll run the round once the battle order has been ordered. I don't intend to run the battle with the hastened ability for mobs with more enemies than heroes, so carry on carrying on.
  3. Cool, no problem. This is my first time running a mob, so I'm still getting the hang of it as well. A mob constitutes as a group of enemies acting as one target. When you deplete the health of a mob to a certain point, an enemy is removed from the mob as if it's been knocked out. The maximum health and level will be changed to reflect that, and in the case of the Carrion Squirrels, it's special will be less effective. Is that a good enough explanation? Swapping the Crow Helmet for the Counterstrike Gloves counts as an action, so you can't do that and toss the ice bomb.
  4. "I'll keep Silver occupied. Everyone else focus on Orange! This thing is toast no matter what it decides to do." Karie attacks the Silver Octoraider from the backrow.
  5. Sorrow tries opening the door, but it won't budge. It must be boarded up. Throlar grabs the wineglass, realizing it's probably worth some money. (Crystal Chalice, 70 Gold) "Squeak!" The party hears a high pitched screech as the rat from before looked them over, moving hit's head back and forth. "Skritchskritch squeak! <That's them, the fleshy live ones! The big green one will feed us for weeks!>" The floor erupted with vermin and insects, writhing from beneath the party's feet, gnawing at them with their mandibles and teeth. The rodents had blood stained into their fur as if they'd done this before, and large, blood red bugs seemed to seep and leech onto the party's skin. They were clearly hungry for flesh, and had a wild gleam in their eyes! There was nothing the party could do but Carrion Squirrel Mob A *Mob 6* Type: Vermin/Dark Level: 30 (6x5) Health: 270/270 (45x6) Special: Bone Gnaw – Causes 30 damage and fragile-effect to the target, and restores 30 health to self. 6. Karie continues to attack the silver octoraider from the backrow.
  7. I hope people realize that line was a joke.
  8. It seems as if entering the portal has changed all of the o's to p's in Sprrpw's name. Other than that, there was no identifiable differences. Sorrow seems like his regular old self. Peering through the windows, Sorrow can make out a rotting, wooden patio at the front of the house, the railing all but gone from the elements. A few undead individuals pass by, many of them ghouls, zombies, and other rotting corpses. The occasional vampire even walks the streets, their umbrella's blocking the sun. The sky seemed grey and cloudy, and the small amount of grass was dry and patchy. Was this Fellcrest? Althior picks up the note from the old board and begins reading it. Inside the letter is also a small golden ring (worth 10 gold). The rat looks up from the bone it's chewing and looks at Althior. It makes a nodding motion before leaving the bone and slinks beneath the floorboards. The device seems to be some sort of lantern. It's long since been used and covered in dust. Peering into the barrel, Vindsval finds it crawling with insects he's never seen before, all squirming and writhing at their disturbance.
  9. "Ugh, stupid octopi forcing me to switch weapons..." Karie unravels the Oculoid Palm, it's slimy tendril engulfing her arm as she strikes the Silver Octoraider from the back row.
  10. "Hehe, no, sweetheart. I think Skrall would make for an excellent party leader. Levelheaded, and not going to let emotions get ahead of him." Karie replies to Jin's comment.
  11. The party enters the portal, one by one, as their last glimpse of Eubric is Father McCreary beginning to berate Connor over his lack of transparency. As they enter the swirling void, the party's senses are confronted by a foreign array of sights, sounds, and smells as they bound through a strange and at times euphoric experience, seemingly being thrown from one spot in space and time to another. Finally their visions round out as they step into an old and rotting house. Furnishings were few and far between, and large holes in the ground suggest the building was raised off the ground by a foot, and Vindsval finds his head touching the ceiling. The smell of old wood and must permeates the place. What will the party do?
  12. OOC: Annienal isn't tiny. She's actually pretty tall and lanky. Annienal gives Kellim an awkward look. These would be romantics were getting annoying. "The, um, dragon that's talking to me is telling me to roast you alive and eat you." Annienal replies bluntly. "But, um, that's not really possible, so I'd, um, appreciate it if you'd stop hitting on me." Annienal pulls out a book, Everything You've Ever Wanted to Know About Changelings But Were Too Afraid To Ask, and flips to last page she was on. "I'm, um... not a maiden." Annienal says, nose in her book.
  13. I consider it getting at least six hours of sleep IG. This is going to be important later, so take note.
  14. QM Note: You need to fully rest in a bedroll in order to regain ether. I'll give you 1 ether, since you technically did "rest", but your ether is not full. This is something I'm going to be a stickler on, sorry. "...eeew." Connor seems reviled by the description, sticking his tongue out and shaking his hands in disgust. "Actually, I've heard you can reverse the gender swap by jumping back through the portal... but that kind of defeats the purpose of a portal, now doesn't it?"
  15. "Seems as though you've answered your own question." Connor comments. "The portal has to stay on. There is no on or off switch like some automaton or devices that go ding have for a portal. Once it's open, you have to let it stay open. I guess I should comment that I'm not one hundred percent sure where this portal will take you in Fellcrest, but nothing has come out of the portal yet that's tried to murder us, so that's a plus!" Connor states, trying to cheer the party up. "What do I look like, a shop? I think you'd be worse off with masks like that, because it clearly means you have something to hide." "Well, I've met Sorrow before when he busted me out of prison being controlled by crazy Ennoc worshippers, and I know the dwarf from.... an inn? Yeah, I saw him snooping around an inn once." Connor comments in a friendly tone. McCreary looks on in frustration as Vindsval naps. "Just what are you doing, sleeping at a time like this? I've hired you to find out if my daughter's doing things in Fellcrest, not sleep!" McCreary looks ready to whack Vindsval with his cane should he not get up. "Hey, Sorrow, buddy! Glad to see you're doing good! I'd hug you but I'm a little busy." Connor comments, downing a tonic afterwards. "You can say that I've gotten better. My family's all a bunch of mages, but this is the first time I've attempted a portal. So far so good! We'll know if it worked out when you guys come out on the other side. Creating a portal is no easy feat. As for negatives, well, a faulty portal can lead to... interesting consequences. I believe I haven't buggered this up, but..." Connor flips through a pocket book he pulls from his pocket, scanning the page diligently. "Well, temporary blindness, reversal of gender, teleportation of clothes to other open portals, running into a... Void Eater... whatever that is. So, yeah... you guys should be fine." Connor says with a half-hearted smile. "If you're ready to depart, just head through the portal." McCreary looks at Connor with a look of concern, while the mage continually flips through his book, seemingly ensuring he got everything right.
  16. "Well, I'm at least relieved to know that you managed to handle all that. We never did get to speak to you much on the return trip." Karie comments. She looks at the cards as she seemingly loses the game. "Bugger... well, good game... I guess." Karie stands up and moves to the railing, watching Skrall and the Sandman do whatever it was they were doing. "Ugh, I hate ships..."
  17. Karie tosses hers back, still focused on the game. "I don't need it, Skrall, but the thought's appreciated. I've got two on me." "I don't need your Anniversary Medal, but if you want the Medal of Valor, I'm going to have to ask you take care of it. You lose that medal, Lind, and I promise you that whatever you hallucinate in Vopralis's fog will be nothing compared to what I will do to you." Karie replies, turning to Lind. She doesn't smile or look at all sarcastic about what she's saying. She reaches into her bag and hands the medal to Lind.
  18. Annienal looks at Kellim's hand and reluctantly shakes it. "I'm, um, Annienal. How do you do?"

McCreary declares, as he leads the party along the path. The lanterns continued to hang over the party's heads as they soon came to a curious sight. An etherial, twinkly sound came from ahead and the party soon realized what they were in front of. Before them was a crackling and vibrant portal inlaid in the dirt. Various components and tonics were strewn about along with empty bottles. A man in a grey cloak and a wand stood before it, looking pleased with himself. "Oh, good evening! Connor Etifried, at your service! Oh, Sorrow, a pleasure to see you again! And you... I think I've seen you somewhere before..." He motions towards Throlar and taps his wand against his chin. McCreary clears his throat. "As you can see, I've hired Connor here to open a portal to Fellcrest. I'm more than certain that Connor's linked it up to somewhere safe in the town, but really, considering he's got Ziegfried blood in him, who knows. At least now I can say that you're family is on even grounds with me, Connor." Connor seems to return to reality and stops pondering the identity of the dwarf in front of him. "Hmm? Oh, yeah, sure. No problem, my family's happy to help. One portal to Fellcrest, ready to go!" "Excellent. Heroes, when you've discovered Amber's plot and stopped her, you can return to Eubric through this portal. Now then, if that's everything, I should-" Connor raises his finger and looks to the party with concern. McCreary looks to the mage with frustration. "What is it now?" "Well, it's just this is a temporary portal. Meaning that it won't stay open forever. I calculate it'll be open for about three days. I'll stay here and watch it, but if should you not complete your task by then, well... I guess you're going to be stuck there." Connor says, looking seriously at the group. McCreary takes a deep breath and sighs. "I'd prefer to know your safety is assured seeing how being stuck in Fellcrest won't be pretty, but if the worst becomes reality, I'm certain there are other ways out of the Babeleth Darklands. McCreary glares at Connor, who merely shrugs his shoulders, looking guilty. "Is there anything left you need to ask before you depart?"
  20. No. It's physically implanted onto her arm as a tattoo. If there's any other items you want, besides Sexy, the Blazing Palm, or the Oculoid Palm, I'm cool with that. "Oh, I can already tell this is going to be highly entertaining. She has to be compensating for something." Karie sneered to Warlen, ensuring he was the only one who could hear him, lightly poking him with her elbow and winking cheekily. "Ah, Captain Armstrong. Someone who I can actually trust." Karie states. "What have you been up to as of late? Anything of interest?" She asks. Karie takes a seat, flexing her knuckles. "Surprisingly, I feel lucky today, Bruce. I do hope you at least remember me?" Karie asks sociably. "Why don't we play a short game to begin with, and we'll see where it goes from there?" She gingerly counts 10 gold on the table.
  21. I hate being that guy, but should these be updated to have a 50/50 chance of success/failure? They're from Rescue the Ma'arri. The scroll in question that I'm dealing with is Scroll of Poisoning, and I don't know how many of these scrolls are in the hands of our magic users, but I want a rules clarification since it is important.
  22. Visit Beautiful Fellcrest!

  23. Annienal lifted her visor up as she kicked her feet whilst sitting on the barstool, noticing the quietness of the hall. "Um... when did everyone leave?"
