  1. Nice little build indeed.
  2. Looks good @evancelt! I like the irregularities. The many crosses on the tower is on purpose?
  3. Alberto must feel in his guts that woman can't be trusted right? He is man of science, after all.. or will the next Episode show another Outlook metamorphoses?
  4. I really like this! I get a nostalgic feeling, brings me back to Age of Empires 2 + Sid Meiers Pirates+ Classic LEGO Pirates . Or did I have to much grog?
  5. Really nice Moc. Beautiful colours , trees and minifig selection. Perfect Caribbean feel!
  6. I just had to use that minifgi head in some kind of story! Thanks! And the story is just beginning.
  7. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5: you are here: Lieutenant Sabelotodo: "The Royal Society of Hospitality and Celebrations.... Unbelievable they fell for that!" Jacobo Fraunces: "I know. And after we took out the bunch we took the key the keykeeper showed us. Now we are only thinking of how to get past the Quinsvillian guards. They are very well organized (during office-hours)... Sabelotodo: "The keykeeper? The one with the small moustache?" Jacobo: (nervous): "How do YOU know that Sabelotodo??" Sabelotodo: "That soldier does not even have the key to the gold-vaults. Some say there are no vaults at all and the gold is shipped directly back to the mainland. No, he works elsewhere: I am not even sure his work is an official part of the redcoat administration: that moustache guy is a swashbuckler! You don't know halve of it. But that information will cost ye!" Jacobo: "You tell me right now!" Sabelotodo: "Pay me or make me you dirty Sea Rat!" ~ a fight breaks out, luckily Jacobo had one of the coconuts in his hands~ Jacobo: "Surrender!" Sabelotodo: "Alright alright! I'll tell you! Sorry I called you dirty! You have to admit you Sea Rats almost never license bathing houses!" ~ Jacobo's pick-up arrives: Lothario and Alfie: ~ Jacobo: "Lothario! you remember Sabelotodo with whom we buy rum now and then. He just now offered me his current stash as a gift to the family in exchange for his life, and as a bonus: he knows the real purpose of that key we stole in Quinsville!" Sabelotodo: [ CLASSIFIED TOP-SECRET SEA RAT INFORMATION ] to be continued... The End. A small build to continue the story, away from Quinsville, because it turned out we could not just rob the settlement without a AMRCA! But no worries, me and Thaum will lead the story to other adventurous places. This MOC is also a small expansion of my entry in the Lego Pirates Forum where you can still vote!
  8. I must appriaciate @NOD keen eye for details here , lets see if he is right
  9. Lovely build. Lighting could be better, but the shack is really nice. I also like the minifigs.
  10. Great build. Very piratey
  11. Congratulations to the well deserved winners! Shout out to the organizers : great seeing so many AFOLS together making these great builds.

  13. Love the ship. The scale is a little off as others said but I would not hold it against it as I understand your starting position. I can see LEGO coming to this design . Good work
  14. Just skipped it to make parts free, a battle to keep under 50 parts.... I did that first but later swapped again and made 1 Brown with below it a diagonal cornerbrick to close the gap which was mentioned here, the idea was to make it part of the trunk of the tree . Later changed it again, building in that scale is just like a long puzzle
  15. @MazinThank you very much for the elaborated comment. You are right, and i dropped the coin in version 2. I wish I read your comment before BC a "keepout" sign or a snake would be a good addition I think. Now I am not able to change unfortunately but I do like you imaged some additions. Thanks! I have to give the Brethren of the Brick Seas a shoutout here, as I believe the Eslandolan standard outfit in the introduction topic has this suit (except for the headprint) . I always thought it was so classic...
  16. These masks are gettig out of hand! How do we even know it really is the twin Thaum? Who says somebody else isn't below that mask!! You made us too suspecious now especially when you end in "to be continued"! I can feel another masker villain coming up... who is the assistent?? Anyways, as you know, I always enjoy the episodes
  17. The kid has talent!
  18. Love to see the youngest participating. Great job Stormy!
  19. Thanks! I wish LEGO would keep the same standard... but what you say is true ofcourse they are very cautious nowadays in Billund. I just love it, although I understand your reservations. Thanks about the compliment but I can't change the bricks anymore, I am too late now to make a third version. Thanks, and I know the hatch seems a little primitive but i have tried EVERYTHING and this is the one which looked best considering the contests aim. The coin is now gone in V2 bc you are right: he Rum is the treasure Thanks a lot well appreciated and esteemed pirate moderator! You are doing a great job, and in Dutch we would say : "it might be said" (so People may know about it) Considering this a forum full of pirates, I would say we keep a decent amount of manners in respect to the authority of Phes
  20. I would say the build is amazing. It looks more realistic than LEGO's fortresses and that's why I love this design. The minifgs are also typical: everybody used that kind of adaptation to the imperial soldiers if they are building big imperial fortresses and need some more manpower. However LEGO would not do that I think. Also LEGO would use more colour, it's too grey to be an official set, LEGO would use colours to make the box art jump out. So that's my main critique although I have to say I really like the build as it is something which just looks so familiar in a sense.
  21. Thanks! The face of the minifig was just so nice I couldn't help using it. The big bottle originates from those small LEGO Jack Stones pirates sets. A great piece they need to bring back if you ask me . Thank you, about the hinges: me too. I just don't have 2 dark grey ones. You'd have to excuse me. I made the handle brown now, swapped the treetrunk with a brown pole and the unnecessary gap above the rounded rock is now closed in the second version. Thanks for the feedback! The leaves are swapped in this new version, thanks for the heads-up! Also the foliage-tip I took to heart and changed it to more piratey-like palm trees. In the end I still had the same brickpart after skipping the coin: you are right it was just too much considering I swapped the original sets coins for rum bottles. Got to keep consistent! Well, after I finished I also noticed it didn't really look 100% like the base-material anymore. I tried your tip about the cheese slope but it just didn't look right... Changed it back to the leaves to make it more jungly again .
  22. Wow, Islanders on steriods! So much play futures and details to see. I follow you on IG also and you truly have incorporated that classic building style.
  23. Shark-tastic! Really original and I would say something LEGO designers build this kind of stuff all the time in their sparetime
  24. I echo the other replies, you really got that miniset vibe right incorperated in the modern style.
  25. Wow, really great work. This feels exactly how I think LEGO would remade Islanders, the athmosphere is just right. The original set was my friend Pirates set, so this remake really hits a different spot!
