  1. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=148203 Pretty cool, I think. And so detailed. I just love stuff like that :)
  2. Cheap 7044
  3. "Follow the red line..."
  4. According to this I would say it's "connected" to open water. And if not he could ask the driver of the orange truck to bring him to the coast.
  5. Waaaaaaaaaaah! A train MOC and I almost missed it! :oD I'm really interested on how you're going to go about the train. Looks cool, but difficult... This is the train I'm planning to build (some day) - and I have no clue on how to go about it...
  6. That ship had me interested from the beginning. At first I didn't recognize its scale, though. I thought it was about the size in the second link I posted. I came out of my dark ages a bit too late to buy it at S@H. So I had to buy it on ebay. Fortunately I found a good deal that cost me only a few cents more than retail (had to do without the box but I didn't care/mind). When I saw it was a bit smaller than I had thought I decided to one day build a bigger one similar to the one in the second link (that size is enough for me). ebay still was quite expensive, though. Then the 2005 edition came out but I still haven't gotten around to buying one. And at the moment my hobby room is a total mess which has to be "un-messed" before I attend big building projects. :)
  7. I'd call it huge minifig-scale! This one's at a reasonable minifig-scale and shouldn't take more than two sets (and maybe some extra parts). Nonetheless, I can't wait till it's finished ;)
  8. This is (gonna be) interesting... Note to self: order second Maersk asap.
  9. LOL But wouldn't it be welcame then? :-D
  10. I think so. If it is, I should be in the same time zone (GMT+1). I just set the clock to GMT in my profile settings and it shows correct now - but it's not my time zone. So I supposed the server hasn't (been) switched back to winter time yet. No big deal, just irritating ;)
  11. B-OV-25E http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=153135 Talking about BrickLink bulk orders...
  12. Is it just me or didn't the forum clock switch to winter/normal time? Looks weird when it says "Your last visit was on ... 10:07 PM" when it's only 9:23 PM ;)
  13. It's definitely one of the 1000steine events they have every summer in Berlin. It's called "1000steine-Land". If I'm deciphering the display cards correctly and "cross-check" with these pictures it should be from 2003...
  14. This is great! The tour is funny. Great to see how much creativity people put into their MOCs. Thx for the links :)
  15. As with LEGO, only "classic" is true ;)
  16. Hmmm... the bland look might also come from the background. The people and especially those houses, althoug great MOCs, no doubt, just don't fit... I see a rocky bay with a fort on top, so I guess there wouldn't be much flora in real life, either. Some (many) palm trees would have been nice, though. Pirates and palm trees just go hand-in-hand for me ;)
  17. I'm sorry ;) True. Considering what an ugly piece he had to use it does look pretty cool.
  18. I have the XXL Crane but I don't remember it containing any alternate models sheet... ?
  19. Did they actually have any sort of traffic control back then? Looks pretty jammed *wacko* OK, that's enough brickshelf...
  20. So there is an alternate use for that ugly piece: You can build........ a futuristic Dump Truck!
  21. As it looks today you can count me (and my g/f) in with a 60:40 chance.
  22. The message says that they built a trailer based on a model in a magazine. To me that doesn't necessarily mean that there were instructions...
  23. Practice is ok if you have time ;) Yes, it was on the front page in the "recent folders". Saw it during one of my (57) daily visits there...
  24. Haven't seen it but that's about what I'd like to try. Dunno if it'll look that good, though, since I'm an absolute amateur with graphics tools...
