  1. I don't know why it was created. I just found it surfing around brickshelf. Looks like a club event of some sort. As for the name: I came up with it. That's what came to my mind first thing I saw it :)
  2. Oh, I'm looking forward to seeing that, I am.
  3. Thx! It's a really nice set, IMHO, but I don't understand why they didn't use 1x1 trans-blue tiles for the front grille-lights. The "normal" 1x1 trans-blue plates look crappy... gotta check how much I've got lying around...
  4. OK, after some quick consideration I guess I want it. And since I'm not a MOCer (although being called uncreative is a bit harsh, I'm trying not to feel offended, but maybe I just missed the sarcasm?) the plane will be what it' supposed to: a plane. The wing really is a disappointment, even if you don't build MOCs, but nothing a dremel can't "adjust". It just takes up too much space, second class could have way more seats. But I'll get it, whether I've got room for it or not. Thanks a lot for the review :)
  5. It's an Airport Fire Truck. They're a different color in most any country, I think. Anyway, is it just me or is this new car baseplate extremely annoying? That one I mean. First time I saw it with with the red fire truck I didn't like it... Anyhoo, will by the AFT anyways :)
  6. That's how it's supposed to look like! pic=link
  7. If only I knew what I need! I have pix of the models I want to build in my head, unfortunately without instructions... hehe, I know that feeling... They all looked important to me, that's why I put 'em in the cart in the first place :/ Why do they always draw the wrong lottery numbers...
  8. Actually I've been here for two weeks already. And yes, I agree, I would've love to stay at home, too. Dreadful weather down there... really... real crappy vacation... Thx for the warm welcome. I'm blushing ;)
  9. I've often wondered how people could build these huge kazillion-pieces MOCs. More often the answer was "Bricklink Bulk Order". So, since I finally want to start building some small MOCs (houses and stuff for my train/town layout) and miss some pieces in certain colors I checked out Bricklink. I even found a big seller (120k+ pieces) in my country - and started shopping. It was fun and he had lots of pieces that I thought I had use for. After a few minutes of clicking I checked my shopping cart - and almost choked: 3000+ pieces, $450+... OK, obviously shopping without a plan wasn't that a good idea. So, any tips? Or is it normal that you leave an arm or leg? How do you ppl do it? I can't LDRAW (or anything) my MOCs because I'm simply too stupid to use CAD-like programs, and, more importantly, I don't even know what my MOCs will look like. I just know that I definitely will run out of pieces or won't even have the ones I'd like to use. Still, putting all that stuff in my virutal shopping cart was fun ;)
  10. Any of you SW-Fre... Fans seen that already? http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=153938
  11. First ones are up. Rest will follow when I find more time. Enjoy - I did ;)
  12. It's not. It's probably the same deal as with the containers of the TTX rail car. In order to bring it out they had to compromise on the containers. Maybe it's the same here with the guy on the stretcher. The containers didn't look that bad, but the construction worker just looks wrong. Anyhoo, it's not a set I'm going to buy, so I quit complaining ;)
  13. That rig would be a nice set idea...
  14. Jesus... I haven't seen the gallery yet but from what I can tell my MOCs (if I ever get around to try one) won't look anything like that, it's just too good. Stuff like that truly impresses me :)
  15. Exactly, that sums it up :)
  16. Like a real one. The construction worker on the stretcher perplexes me, though. It's weird... We've seen some arguable decisions from TLG, but putting a minifig in a set that doesn't fit is just... strange... makes me wonder if those sets really are the upcoming sets or just some "rejections"...
  17. Found them. Prices are insane. I rather wait another 1 1/2 months...
  18. Whoa! I'm not a SW-fan but I'm watching EpIII (out of sheer boredom) as I'm typing and it looks reeeally good :)
  19. http://www.pinballnews.com/news/lego.html Whoa... makes me wanna go out and play some... Edit: Brickshelf still
  20. Pretty darn good remakes then... The same as cities do. And if not, there's nothing wrong with precautionary measures. And if that, either, it's just a cool looking accessory.
  21. That's the point. If it's called something it doesn't know it must be insulting. As for cakes browsing the internet: if I look at my keyboard - yes, they are...
  22. It's all a matter of perspective. The christmas cake wouldn't be impressed, either, if it were told it looked like "that white brickshelf castle"...
  23. I just haven't seen a castle built totally in white yet. And yes, it does look like a birthday/wedding cake. A bit taller and it would look like that city in LOTR, though...
  24. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1479823 interesting look...
