  1. It's the little blue engine from 1980 *wub* The CAD pic is just the general pic for this set the bricklink database has, it's not from the seller.
  2. Thanks everybody :-) Without a launch site on earth, in a town or city, your Space guys wouldn't be there in the first place :-P ;-)
  3. Closing won't help cos the link in the post would stay (unless it'd be edited out). And we're old enough to know what we do and where we click ;-)
  4. Thanks guys :-) Well, I see "taking bribes" as the job description of a politician anyhow. So, I'll send you my wish list... ;-) You got the Red Sox tickets, right? Are the seats ok? Anything else? ;-)
  5. So am I actually, but I saw it as opening a "set" every day until christmas (and then opening some more sets) :-) I will - and I know. But I'm "experienced" now ;-) As soon as it's available. Last year I ordered in on September 20 (just checked my order history on S@H, and it even was only
  6. Whoops, there's the 7760 again...
  7. Yeah, I remember not reading it until December 24 cos I didn't want to spoil my fun opening a window everyday. I ordered the calendar in October and had it lying around until December. Man, that was hard ;-)
  8. Yeah, the per-MF-price may be steep, but the overall idea is "cute". Sure, you could MOC these games yourself pretty easily, but I think I might get me one just for the sakes of buying a set. I just love receiving and opening boxes (who doesn't) :-)
  9. "Polypen" is German and the plural of "Polyp". It's either "adenoids" (medical term, don't think that's the appropriate one here ;-)) or "octopuses/octopi". "Werfer" is "thrower" or "launcher", as has been said. I always knew Bionuckle was a weird line.... :-P ;-)
  10. I agree. I've seen your re-creations, xenologer, but while I admire your efforts the models still lack the certain... how to put it... "it" to make them Space. I mean, they're space, but they're not quite Space, if you know what I mean ;-) Nevertheless, keep going, by all means :-) PS: Where are the real smilies?!
  11. That's not what Willy meant with "community talk". These non-LEGO-but-still-Pirates-related topics already exist in the Pirates forum. And you already have the Pirates forum(s) for that, don't you... sne has a point when he says that the Pirates forum is in danger of separating itself completely. While what it has evolved into is quite a feat, a "split" would be a slap into EB's face, bluntly spoken. Comments like Willy's "its that we really have a community here that is seperate to EB... Hmm I believe you would understand if you were very involved in here." speak for themselves, I think...
  12. POTC2 Surprisingly I liked it. I was fearing the worst after reading all the negative reviews, but I could have stayed after the movie and watched POTC3 right away...
  13. EB could just integrate all those other message boards... Welcome to EB, Ollie ;-)
  14. Very nice! I already liked last year's (the first I bought) and this year's looks like another sure buy *sweet*
  15. I know that this pirate community has a life of its own, and I think it's great what it evolved into. But do you really want to seperate it even more? Just a thought - and it's just 8 votes as of now, don't judge too soon ;-)
  16. Organization is good, but you can over-organize. The pirate forum is a sub-forum of EB, and a second community-forum within EB would just confuse things. Seriously, if you want community talk, then go up two levels. If it's pirate related, well, then it's not community talk and you're in the right place anyways. So, "no" from me - but what am I doing here anyways ;-)
  17. Google is your friend ;-) Track Designer Download Page No installation needed, just extract it somewhere and run from there. Hth
  18. OK, I believed you, but bringing up the Anderson* chick blew your scam :-P * You can lure me with a lot of things, just not her... or that hotel chick...
  19. Slightly OT: I wanted to go first, but then decided not to. Now I'm a bit "frustrated" after I read that J
  20. I've never complained about prices in the low hundreds. I see those prices as "not OK", either, but they just follow the supply-and-demand basics. I accept that. I don't have to pay the price if I don't want to. But 6k5 for a set - any set - is just ridiculous. So is 3k5 for a single engine. I've come to terms that I'll probably have to pay my
  21. Maybe the french catalog is different from the Austrian...
  22. Just to "close this up": On Monday I received a 32L Technic axle, a replacement for my coffee-stained 4896 instructions booklet (it has a dog-ear but I'm glad they replaced it), and a replacement for my heavily dog-eared 8421 instructions booklet. With it came a lengthy letter of apology, not just the standard package insert. I "filed" three new, seperate complaints on their website (i.e. three different reference numbers), and they were able to "connect" them and just send me one package. So, the service does work :-)
  23. What doesn't? Did you ?
  24. Hm... hmm... hmmmmm... what does he mean.... :-P Welcome to EB and enjoy your stay ;-)
