  1. Welcome! Now that you've joined you have to sell us your customizations at a 75 % discount. But you knew that before you joined, didn't you? :-P Enjoy your stay, UA :-) PS: How's that for a different welcome, master yoda? >:-)
  2. Guess I should have read the brickshelf TOS first: "6a. BRICKSHELF.COM GALLERY The purpose of the Brickshelf Gallery service is to showcase LEGO
  3. Slightly OT: Just received this through the BL wanted item notification: 7760 MISB @ $3500 (Edit: gone - can't believe someone bought it 8-
  4. Lost Veronica Mars The 4400 Big Love Cold Case CSI CSI:NY Desperate Housewives House Gilmore Girls Scrubs Except for the first two no particular order. I used to like 24, but after Season 3 was on the way down and Season 4 managed to top it in terms of bad TV I don't watch it anymore. Among recently canceled or finished series I watched are Alias (S5 was bad, though), Andromeda (*snif*), Commander in Chief, JAG (as with Alias, the last season (10) was a pain), and Friends, of course :-)
  5. I have 6440, 6483, plus an extra battery box, a few conductor plates, and an extra siren somewhere. Both cool sets, but they can drive your cat or dog crazy after some time ;-)
  6. That sums it up pretty well. The name in light of the old theme doesn't excite me, but some set names do sound interesting. So, again we wait in anticipation for a new year - same procedure as every year, James ;-) I like 4888 and bought two sets. The models (sub and underwaterstation) aren't exactly MF scale but are easily modifiable and IMHO blend in very well with the old "Divers" subs - which I will do. I think Wild Hunters and Building Bonanza both are successful (Building Bonanza sure is, you see it in layouts on brickshelf everywhere). Why 4888 wasn't continued I can't say. I liked it and most likely will buy a third set if I find it on sale somewhere :-)
  7. Hmm... they built the police station on an ugly baseplate, then the hospital, and now maybe the fire station, too. The price range would fit. If that's better, though, I dunno... I'm not sure I am... oh well, I'll just wait for pics...
  8. No problem and thank you again. It seems strange to have such difficulties in finding a new set like this in a store. I should look to some smaller toy stores in vienna.... And there is always S@H, but the shipping costs for a set like this are not very reasonable.... I was there today (TRU Stadlau) and they had a few of them this time,
  9. The chance of finding a set for a reasonable price shrinks. If sellers see that there are people out there paying insane prices then they will want that price for their set, too. It might take longer to sell, but eventually they'll get the price. And "we sane people" sit by and watch...
  10. What if not?
  11. $810?!?!?! I haven't checked for a couple of days, the last time I did it was around $100 or so. I expected it to go higher but this is just plain ridiculous... The username of the (current) highest bidder speaks for itself, though... *wacko*
  12. ... or a giant blue 2x4 LEGO brick? :-)
  13. Happy birthday! 32, huh? I must say, you look older'n that >:-) Enjoy your day, have fun, and get lots of space sets and parts :-)
  14. Happy birthday! Enjoy your dinner and may you get many more City sets ;-)
  15. Well, I read from Jan Beyer on 1000steine that SB will not come to Europe, neither brand retail nor S@H! He quoted TLC's marketing director who said that when TLC first presented the line to the major European retailers (before it was even known that a SB line would exist) they weren't all that excited. Some would have ordered small amounts of sets, some none at all. So TLC decided to not buy the license for Europe (probably because there would have been quantity limits involved which TLC couldn't have met). Simple consequence: no license in Europe, no sets in Europe. Blame the retailers. That's the last from an official source, dated August 3rd. The post (in German) can be read here. Me, I couldn't care less ;-)
  16. I've neglected this a bit, I'm sorry. It looks like 6382 is going to win this, but Brickster hasn't voted yet and I kinda can't close a City poll without the father of the polls' vote ;-) So, Brickster, if you read this and find time, your vote would be appreciated :-)
  17. Wow, I'm surprised, that's the longest it has taken so far... Well, why not, it's not that difficult - because you can do it yourseeeeeelf >:-) The first pic is http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/misterho...6-2/page_01.jpg The pictures are numbered, so if you just increase the number in the picture name in the link by one (i.e. page_01.jpg, page_02.jpg etc.) you can "browse" through the catalog. I could have thought of this earlier but I didn't think it would take him that long to moderate it... Enjoy ;-) It's 76 pages by the way...
  18. I picked the catalog up last Saturday at a local TRU and today decided to scan it. Little did I know what a pain that is! While browsing through 70+ pages is cool and fun, scanning them is NOT *sing* That was the last time I did that... Anyhoo, here they are (after moderation): Catalog 2006/2 Scans It's the Austrian version. Prices don't represent the average European prices since Austria is one of the higher price Euro countries. If somebody wants something translated on a certain page just ask, I'll post it here then. And no, there's nothing else in it, those are all the pages! Enjoy *sweet*
  19. Now, that I second! Deeedeeeeee!!! *sing*
  20. How come? 8-
  21. It's a one guy operation, and checking 400 folders a day sometimes just takes its time ;-)

Funny :-) But Little Devil's actually the 888th who has registered (Jemppu is no. 889). Meaning, there are 222 members who registered and never posted for some time so they're not included in that count (see here). Still an intriguing coincidence numbers-wise...
  23. That's why I don't print them and build "off my notebook" ;-)
  24. Why's the viking so far away? It looks like he doesn't belong... ;-)
