  1. Customization. We've had a few new members who are pros at that, they sure can tell you more about it :-)
  2. Dammit, I always triple check >:-( That certainly would fit TLC's cost saving plan...
  3. No dark age dawning on me, either. I've been back into LEGO for 2 1/2 years now, and my spending hasn't really increased or decreased. It just depends on what's available at what price. There's still some sets out there (Technic mostly) that I'm going to buy, just not now at regular price. I still buy lots of old Town and Train stuff if I find anything at garage sales, flea markets or the like. My building time has been very limited this year, though, so it's been more of a "gathering and hording" year. But that'll change soon :-) What..? Mine's understanding and helpful... ;-) Although I have to admit, preparations for the official "enspousement" do take their share of time... So, no, I can't second SuvieD's feeling - but I can understand it.
  4. Chrismessy would be a better term >:-) And what is the Ester Bunny doing on a christmas train..?
  5. He was bored. He made a drawing. He shared it with us. Just another useless thread, nothing to "get".
  6. No problem: * Too expensive * Crappy colors * Too expensive * No motor * Too expensive * No track * Too expensive Yeah, I don't like it...
  7. The Lake House Chick flick, but better than expected. Interesting story idea.
  8. 6366 (boxed), 6592 (also boxed), and a few town minifigs at a local LEGO exhibition.
  9. How could I resist...
  10. LOL Nice title :-D
  11. I don't know about the single thing ;-) but I do know about the room problem. I'm lucky to have my own room for my LEGO, but there's so much I want to set up and even that room's not enough (I posted a pic in this thread)... *wacko*
  12. It's not the set. The picture is a model designed by James Mathis and was used by S@H to promote the new LEGO Factory. But I read you could build this model (or a similar one) with the new set, the color scheme it uses is the color scheme of the set.
  13. I saw your train topic already. You're most welcome here* :-) * impartial and unbiased
  14. That's ok. It's just that message boards often get spammed by people who just register to promote their sales. The "Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds" forum gets enough attention, even if no one answers to your message directly. That's why everybody is a bit sensitive to multi-postings. Again, hope it pays off ;-)
  15. And I would love that fork lift! US S@H has it on sale at the moment, but not for $15. That really is a good deal *sweet*
  16. I didn't forget it, I left it out on purpose for the reasons morten mentioned: it's not a hospital. And stop bickering, you just lost an entire planet :-P Yeah, I came across those, too, and I thought about including them. But then it's DUPLO and all the other polls didn't include anything but System so I didn't include them. Even 9364 was an exception but that had minifigs at least. Great sets. Do you mean any other than 6364?

    8 PLANETS!

Hmm... now, most importantly, how does that affect Space?
  18. What catapult are you talking about? It's a dump. My apologies. But as I said, I don't know anything about that line, it just looked like a catapult at first glance...
  19. Oh, that's what that was! I had that "effect" on the instructions of my 4896, and I thought it was stains from a coffee mug and complained and received a replacement (which then had dog ears)... I second that.
  20. I know we do. That's why I am right and you are not :-P
  21. Patience, people, patience. All polls at once aren't really fun - and you just spoiled the surprise (the little that's possible in a City theme) for future polls :'-(
  22. Man, that's a darn nice box *wub* I just bought 7899 yesterday and while it's not that big a box the instructions were bent and dog eared again. But I almost expected that. Except for the small town sets I bought this year there was "something wrong" with the instructions in every bigger set I ordered or bought. Right now that's almost more annoying than a wrong or missing part... The designs of late aren't as good as in the past (always taking into account what was "in" at the time) and they just outsourced the brick manufacturing. So, maybe box quality management wouldn't be that bad an idea, but I don't know how much the cost for replacement instructions due to bad box design factors in here...
