I don't know the dutch layout, but the Control Panel is the window with all this stuff in it: You should find it via your start menu...

It seems this house like 4886 doesn't have any interior, either, so I'd take it what you see are the white bricks from the back wall.

After all the wedding hassle and honeymoon stress (;-)) I hereby declare EB's favorite train station: 4554 Metro Station The vote was pretty clear with 15 votes out of 35 (so far). The latest set 4513 didn't finish dead last but didn't receive that many more votes than the other new sets in the other polls, either. One could call that another defeat. Topic unpinned. Voting's still possible but won't be taken into account anymore.

In Windows XP go to * Control Panel * Fonts * click on "File" * click on "Install New Font..." * in the file dialog browse to where you saved the fonts from the website * mark all fonts you want to install * click "OK" * done It could work by just copying the font files to c:\windows\fonts but I've encountered fonts that wouldn't install that way. So, the Control Panel is the safe way and works for sure. Hth

Man, I haven't voted in my own poll yet! Well, I voted for 7822. My choices were this one and 4513. Yes, the latest one, because unlike most people I like it. And unlike most people I don't really like 4554. I'm a fan of modern trainstations (I mentioned it here once) and 7822 has the "necessary" two platforms and the bridge, and 4513 has the looks. 4513 could be a bit bigger, though. And the size, the bridge, and the two platforms made me vote for 7822. But to be honest: of all the train stations ever made by LEGO no one really stands out for me. Maybe, just maybe, the new RC trains might prompt another train station next year or so... Just a reminder: I'll (try to) announce a winner on Sunday afternoon, around 3 or 4 CET.

I love October. Not only is it the baseball playoffs, but new LEGO set pics showing up everywhere *sweet* I like the house. It looks a lot like 4886, but is a good continuation of the "Creator" line and addition of "City". The F14-like fighter doesn't look special because that type of plane really isn't new, and the idea book for 4403 had an alternate model pic in it (just the pic, no instructions) which looked better, to be honest. The rest look like nice parts packs (lotsa 1x1 slopes!) - if the price is right, that is.

I'm gone for a week and all mayhem breaks loose?! ;-) I've been waiting to see the new firestation and checking amazon.de for pictures every day, and I like what I see now. This new station fits perfectly with the current "City" look. Size, a hint of the classic style, accessories, minifigs, and especially the truck are great assets. Maybe a one-piece baseplate (I'm talking non-3D here) would have been nice, and the price could be a bit lower (

I hereby officially report back from a very, very nice honeymoon week in Paris. Thanks again, everybody :-)

Thank you very much, everybody! :-) Well, I've tried for quite some time, but she wouldn't register yet... :-D LOL Looking forward to it :-)I will share a few pictures once I've sorted through them. And since I'm a bit tired right now I'll do that after our honeymoon ;-) Thanks again, everybody, much appreciated *sweet*

Congratulation! Now you just need to find some LEGO deals to make the trip perfect ;-)

The best building in a long time. I got it for christmas from my then-girlfriend-now-wife two years ago. It's a great set. Should have bought a second one, now you only get the bley version...

Thanks for the find, chewie. There's another thread here already, please discuss it there since the other board games are mentioned there, too. Oh, yes, you assumed right, the plates are glued. Someone confirmed this not so long ago, I just can't find the thread at the moment :-)

Like there's other LEGO than trains... :-P

I've thought about that often. I think that an 8-wide train on 6-wide tracks would look pretty good. I'm thinking american cargo train with one or more "heavy" BNSF pulling it, coming straight at you like here or here. The smaller tracks compared to the locomotives make the train look pretty impressive, I think. The LEGO version looks pretty... umm... wimpy... The problem with 8-wide trains, though, is that the models have to be longer to not look out of proportion. And then the trains look even more ugly going through curves than they already do in 6-wide. Best would have been 6-wide trains as we have them now, but 4-wide tracks (with wider radiuses)...

... or don't have enough room ;-)

It wouldn't be stealing, would it?

I didn't feel guilty anyways ;-) Yeah, well, that's today's society. Everybody "has" to take care of themselves. The (good ol') times when you cared about your "neighbor" and vice versa are gone... -
Miami Vice Great graphic violence, way too long, no Miami Vice "feeling" came up, absolutely miscast, original cast would have been better. In short: :-X

How about this? -
Another 7893-turned-train: (Click for gallery) I'm not really a big fan of those highspeed trains but I like this one better than the first one in this thread. There is more MOCing in this one (train base, interior, etc.).

... and this... Seems like it isn't that well known a piece ;-)
