  1. "Enough"... ;-) Yep, 8844, one of my favorite "childhood sets I never had", right after the blue Harvestor Tractor (that one came with the box even) *sweet* I'll post pics once I started building...
  2. Received a bulk order of some Technic sets today: I received them dismantled, though, that's a pic from the seller. Guess I have some building ahead of me *sweet*
  3. The problem with these "confernece calls" is that you don't see each other, there's a certain lag in the connection(s), no one really knows when the other(s) are finished, and so you always have two or more people talking at the same time, stopping all of a sudden to be polite and let the other one speak and... well, chaos... I'm not really a fan of that... I do have skype but barely use it. My wife uses it to chat with her sister who lives in the States. Good way for cheap (i.e. free) phone calls. It's 1on1, though. But lets see if there's interest :-)
  4. Sure, it's great fun :-P ;-) I could have moved it first and then merged it, so you would see in the BSTF that it was moved, but... oh well... I just merged them... :-)
  5. Thanks for link, l2k, bdd has already mentioned it in the BSTF forum :-) Guess I'll do a little merging again...
  6. Yeah, the guy who built the Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier - seems he's working on the QM2 now *wacko* Wonder how long this'll take...

    my own divers

No, those pieces don't have doors... :-P ;-)

    my own divers

That's certainly a creative idea for those parts :-) The overall structure does look kinda weird, but your greeblies (the Space fan in you) make it recognizable as some sort of sub ;-) Nice job, I like it *y*
  9. Doesn't matter, as long as it moves on rails - a train is a train ;-)
  10. Welcome... or... um... welstay, I guess ;-) "0.xx" and ".xx" is the same - "UK/US notation" ;-)
  11. The Train spies/infiltrators work slowly but precisely, and the conversion is all the more effective... ;-)
  12. Thank you for the pics, SirNadroj. Don't take it too personally, people just wanted to point you to already existing discussions (you posted in one, too) :-) So I'll merge this thread with bdd's review in the T&T forum.

    Ebay

That's almost common practice. And if it isn't the seller's second or third account it's a friend's account. But I don't check ebay that regularly, so I wouldn't even notice or do anything about it...
  14. [x] You still haven't read the first post... Reading's hard, isn't it...
  15. [ ] You read the first post [x] You didn't read the first post He's looking for 7-digit numbers...
  16. He asked you once, maybe twice. He has every right to ask "the forum", i.e. other members. Not every thread about Aquaraiders is about you, you know. But lets leave it at that now, no need to discuss this any further.
  17. With that number - yes. TLC don't really like that, of course...

    Pl@m0b1l Town

Ask Holly, she mentioned she was/is an AFOP and said that there is an online community "out there" as well (check here)...
  19. Well, for one you can look up instructions on the LEGO page if you know where to look. That's what he (not legomilk) did before they blocked his IP. Secondly... keeping stats, I guess... there's people who are interested in that kinda stuff... ;-) Keep cool, you seem to get "excited" quite easily... breath... breath... better... see? ;-)
  20. Aah, very well! Welcome, my friend X-D I'm sure you will enjoy your stay here *cough* in the Trains & Town forum *cough* You're not alone... you're not alone... I'm not really a "fan" but I like US fire engines, too, hence I love your fire apparatus! *sweet* No problem as long as you "behave" ;-)
  21. Thanks for the review and the pics, Grevious! Since there was a topic already I merged the two so there's no confusion and "double discussion".
  22. You'll need: 1. A domain. Either you register the domain seperately (there are tons of providers out there, starting at around $7 per year), or you buy it with a webspace package. 2. The webspace. Don't forget that if you want your forum to exist for a long time that the forum database grows with time. IPB has a light database, the text isn't that space consuming, but pictures are. It's recommended that you use a provider in your country (or not too far away) because of support issues. It doesn't help if you have a cheap provider but they are 5 time zones away and you only reach them at 2 am. 3. The forum. There are free forums out there (e.g. phpbb) and commercial ones (e.g. IPB). It's really up to you. You can't make it right for everybody anyway ;-) A forum without too many ads looks more "professional", though... 4. Skills. Some knowledge about how these things generally work helps. Those webspace packages do have browser based configuration panels, and if you buy the domain with it you don't have to worry about DNS settings cos that's included. 5. Time and help. It does cost time, there's no doubt about that. It does help if you know someone who helps you out when you're not there, for example. 6. Advertising. Put a "descreet" (pic) link in your signature wherever you post. Don't go bragging on every board, though, people don't like that (spam anyone ;-) ). 7. Patience. Your place won't be swarmed with people from the first day. It'll take time... 8. Ideas. A website can get boring fast if it doesn't give the visitor something new from time to time. A forum lives with its users, but you have to show that you care about that place and have ideas how to improve it now and then. hth :-)
  23. Thanks for the link, Nodra. Sam already found it yesterday, see here. Next time don't forget to edit the link title, so it doesn't look like it's your page. I'll close this now to avoid double discussions :-)
  24. Unless they give us something like this, or this ;-)
