  1. Nice design. Maybe it's just me, but if I look at the pictures I see white instead of light bluish grey or light grey, especially considering the pictures were taken in dusk.
  2. Nice story, and a good read. I actually like your modded version better than the original, assuming the doors continue the pattern.
  3. Nice. Last year, I converted my old 7760 to PF by using the original 12V motor, a 9V block battery, and the PF IR module.
  4. Marvelous building. I also really like the roof, as well as the rest of the scene.
  5. Really cool design. Reminds me of a project by Jesse James. One improvement suggestion would be to match the amount of exhausts with the amount of cylinders, either 1-in-1 or 2-in-1.
  6. They made a reproduction of the accident in Brasil (http://www.mundoavapor.com.br/). I think they used some artistic freedom, 'cause it doesn't look exactly like the original picture, but it sure adds color:
  7. Wow, that is so awesome. I wish I had a setup like that. There's even enough shelvespace to make something nice out of the buidings and train background.
  8. Great bridges. I was toying around with bridges myself recently, but yours add much more detail than what I came up with. Yours inspires me to add more detail. Thanks!
  9. I like the use of the decals wondermonkey. Very nice result. I'm glad you liked my design.
  10. Awesome and very detailed. What a work of art.
  11. It is a very nice layout. I do suggest to make the space within the loops at least 4 baseplates, because 3 can be very tight to maneuver in. Also, how will your son get in there? If you can crawl under the tables, then its fine, but if the tables are low, then 3 baseplates to climb over without disturbing the layout is too much for a 3 year old.
  12. I extended it without the center stairs. Pictures can be seen in Lazarus topic: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=77356 This station lends itself well for modding.
  13. Good to see all those different versions of the same idea. I like the beds and stairs in yours Lazarus, but I also like the other versions with the roof lines equal.
  14. Nice inside. Any chance of making the roofs easily detachable? You could have the top row of windows detach together with the roof for instance.
  15. Looks really good. I'm wondering what the inside looks like.
  16. Congratulations and of course thanks JopieK
  17. Very nice and very unconventional. So cool!
  18. Cool, please message me when you have them
  19. How the nose is done, and other changes to the original design, see the new LDD file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3664856/SD70M_v12.lxf I've changed the nose and tail to make the cheese slopes smoother, I've straightened out the dark-bley grills, and I've removed some internal parts that turned out to be pretty useless. Building the real thing really straightens out the glitches.
  20. Nice, very nice. Can your kid actually switch the train off, or do you have to do that? (Switching off as in: preventing the battery from draining, not just stopping the train). I can imagine it's hard to reach, which may be intended, depending on the age.
  21. I've recently completed the build of the design I had presented earlier in this topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=82114 I took the liberty of creating a new topic, because currently brickshelf still seems to be down, and I didn't feel like updating a topic that currently has no pictures in it. I'm very happy with how it turned out. I soldered up a custom battery pack to fit inside of it, using 6 AAA batteries. It's quite big compared to the BNSF, a solid 10 studs longer. As far as I know, this difference is also there when comparing a real life SD70M with a GP38.
  22. Thanks for the thorough explanation. I appreciate any time spend on this, and I look forward to the next issue, summer or fall. Thanks for all the volunteering on a great magazine.
  23. What an incredible work of art.
  24. Looks really impressive. I'd love to have a setup like that, especially if you're going to add a roundhouse to it.
