  1. I wasn't aware that accusing someone, building a case, and then presenting said case was a "meaningless" post. If you're defending Harriet for being "the new girl" which is what it looks like you're doing, then that's a scummy enough thing to do in itself. Yes, she's a new player, but if she didn't have a grasp on the game, she should've waited for a mafia school. The things I've called her out for are basic mafia concepts. There's literally no defense from this kind of an accusation because this isn't an accusation. It's you pointing out that I haven't posted as much. My case against Harriet, which it's well-noted that you're trying to discredit, wasn't a "sort-of case." But like I said, it's well noted that you're coming to her assistance when she herself hasn't even properly addressed my claims. Helping out the new player teammate?
  2. I'm not entirely sold on Clementine, but that can wait. I am, however, unsure about someone else: In the first part of this post, Harriet addresses who is on her scum list. She says that she thought that Dr. Wen (who is dead and confirmed town???) was scummy and that she also suspects Rip Sewer. She then goes off and says that Clementine should absolutely be protected. She thinks that Rip is suspicious because he doesn't think Clementine should be protected and because he's "posting fluff." Then came this later: So, you have no evidence, yet you still suspect Rip? I thought your evidence was that he's posting fluff? Unless you just made that up as an excuse to accuse someone. Can you find any fluffy posts? Why don't you think 4 of 2 is suspicious anymore? Last I checked, she's still alive and not a cleared townie. It's okay to have gut suspicions sometimes, but if you're bringing them out into the open, it's probably a good idea to have some sort of evidence to back it up immediately instead of "I'll post more tomorrow!" In another instance, there was this exchange: Hannah calls Harriet out for self-preservation and for not wanting to die, which is why she didn't post her scum list yesterday (as Seamus pointed out, this is a different explanation as to why she didn't) In response, Harriet goes on the defensive immediately, instantly suggesting it's an accusation. She claims to have not been aware that she wins with the entire town even if she does die, which is a bit ludicrous because it's been one of the established mafia rules for the past two or more years and anyone reading just the first post of any conclusion thread can see this. It's all just a bit too scummy for my tastes. Her non-accusations (including seemingly adding a dead confirmed townie to her list), her retracting other accusations for no discernible reason, her blindingly trusting Clementine and defending her claims, changing her explanation as to why she's not posting her suspect list, and her being concerned about self-preservation all ping me in a major way. Vote: Harriet Stomper (mediumsnowman) I look forward to reading your defense and your explanations in regards to your scum list that you promised you'd post today.
  3. You jackass. You've just ruined quite possibly one of the best chances to catch a scum in a lie about their role. Nobody was talking about lynching you today and you went out and claimed anyway. It's called a tracker. Or a watcher, as you indicated. Or a peeping tom. There's tons of variants. Why are you assuming the town is the only one with a watcher-like role? Unless you're privy to information that we don't have.
  4. Excalibur! I've been told this sword is good at getting rid of tree stumps. Vote: Doctor Wen (Xenophobic Monoxide) All your posts earlier were fishy and suspicious, as was your behavior. I'll echo others by saying you shouldn't give up playing or fighting.
  5. Oh, I haven't stopped suspecting you. Unless something else earth-shattering happens, I do believe I'll be voting for you.
  6. Who do you think you are, Space Hulk Hogan? Hey now, he's obviously feeling down about something. There's no need to make him feel even worse.
  7. What do you mean back on topic? We're not really talking about much of anything except for how scummy Wen's statement about defending Seamus is. You're going on and on about people not posting fluff when there's nothing of substance to talk about yet. We're not even at the twenty-four hour mark yet. Are we going to get back on topic to you yelling at us to stop posting fluffy things? You're posting more then anyone else is and it's mostly been complaints about the content being posted. These posts themselves are fluffy since it's so easy to just say that and make yourself look not only active but also helpful to the town. If we're going to talk about substance when there's nothing much to say yet, yes, Wen talking about defending Seamus for no reason on the second page of Day One when there's nothing to defend him from is exceedingly suspicious. It seems like he's trying to move past it hastily by saying "but I posted that a while ago." It doesn't matter if it was "awhile ago" (two hours is not awhile ago), it still warrants discussion since it's scummy as hell.
  8. Hello friends! Today would be a lovely day, if we didn't find out that Blacktron scum are trying to break into our base and seize it for their own nefarious purposes. What a bunch of douchebags. Sorry, I shouldn't have acted in such a manner, it's extremely unprofessional for me, as an administrator, to refer to someone in such a derogatory way. But still, they're a bunch of no good meanies, and I hope that we catch each and every one and feed them to the rancor! What's that? We don't have a rancor? Well, we'll have to requisition one and then feed them to it. No, no, that's a ludicrous suggestion. We don't have the funds for it and transporting such a wild beast would be a serious drain on Federation resources. There are more efficient ways of dealing with traitorous individuals.
  9. Hello, my name is Bock, First Officer...wait, that's not right. Administrator on the starship Enterprise...wait, that's not right either. Administrator on LI-420! That's right!! I hope you all have a lovely day! I'll have my info in my signature sometime Bob sucks.
  10. Every time I do this, I always have this horrifying fear that I'm going to screw up and send the wrong role PM to someone or something like that, so I understand.
  11. I love how we both participated in it and we both have no idea what that game even was.
  12. As long as it's not a repeat of this then I think we'll be fine.
  13. 1) Tell me a brief summary of your Mafia experience, in poem form. A Free verse is fine. A Haiku will also do. You don't need to rhyme. I got a bone to pick with the fellow with the knife so Ima sneak up behind and end his life and win the game, unless I die tonight! I'm the Nuetral Night Killer, here me rawr Imma kill the Hobo who sleeps by my door He's got a letter, I think that it's mine and when he delivers I'll shoot out his spine! 2) Will you be free to actively participate from now until whenever the heck this ends? Highly Likely 3) What is your favorite Sci-Fi work? It's a toss between Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and The Empire Strikes Back. I'd have to say Spock is my favorite Sci-Fi character, though. 4) "Solve the function: 42. 5) Hah, jokes on you. I like that.
  14. What a game! Excellent storytelling and brilliant photography. I'm rather upset that I missed this one, but it worked out since I wouldn't have been able to devote my time to it (which is good, because Hinckley yells at inactive players) I really thought he was scum though, since he and TPRU seem to mess with each others roles in every game they host, but I was wrong. It's always a different perspective when you're not playing.
  15. The cultist character is usually the same as the multiple mafia listing, with a few exceptions depending on the host. There's some hosts who will have all the cultists die if the cult leader dies and other hosts who have the cultists revert back to their original roles if the cult leader dies. Most multiple mafias have only one player at the start (like a cult) and recruit every night.
  16. They were in disguise.
  17. As much as I want Baulf to return, I'm going to have to sit this one out. I'm about to study abroad for the summer and I don't think I'd be able to fully commit. It'll be interesting to watch from the sidelines though. It's been a while since I've done that.
  18. Thanks everyone! Yeah, the roles and characters are all pre-selected and put on a list like you'll see at the start of every day. Then I put the list of people who've signed up on a randomizer and match them up by number. TrumpetKing himself wasn't originally meant to be scum, but his character was.
  19. I had to go back to the old Prohibition Mafia Conclusion to find his older poems: (Night Action against Ricecracker; later changed to JCC1004) I got a bone to pick with the fellow with the knife so Ima sneak up behind and end his life and win the game, unless I die tonight! (Night Action against Quarryman, it was tails, so he didn't do it.) I'm the Nuetral Night Killer, here me rawr Imma kill the Hobo who sleeps by my door Kill; Ryan Alberts (Hobo)/Quarryman (Night Action against the mailman (I forgot who played him)) He's got a letter, I think that it's mine and when he delivers I'll shoot out his spine! Please don't go back and look at that game. Please for the love of god don't look at it. The only good part was the 13 year old mafia boss played by Shadows, but everything else was quite possibly terrible.
  20. And now for some commentary and whatnot. Some will be longer than others. Jackjonespaw Comments: You played your part rather well. I'm not privy to what happened behind the scenes, but it appears you were working with others and you were doing a good job in thread. Dragonfire Comments: You were sort of around for half the game, so I guess it's good you were vanilla. There could have been some problems if you were scum or a power role. Regardless you were quite perceptive. Shadows Comments: I don't think you'll ever last longer then a day or two in mafia games nowadays. Everything that you say is usually put under a microscope and each word is dissected. I mean, what you said was a bit pingy and it appeared you were jumping onto a bandwagon that barely started, but I don't think you could have saved yourself because there was no way to defend yourself against baseless accusations. Piratedave84 Comments: You protected TPRU pretty much every night, which was smart but nobody went after him anyway so I guess it was an alright precaution. Palathadric Comments: People keep calling you scum. Even after you were cleared as town people thought you were scum. I didn't see it as much, but at least you were vanilla. StickFig Comments: I don't think you were even suspected until you were blocked, which is a shame because you were doing really well up until that point. If JJP hadn't blocked you I think it would have been a different Day Four, but that's just my observations. I don't know what was happening behind the scenes or what others were thinking. Good job regardless though! Dannylonglegs Comments: You appeared pro-town, but you didn't really have to do much of anything except not get voted out. As I said, in retrospect I'd change your conditions, but it's too late now. I did love your poetry though. I do swear it was a complete coincidence that you were the serial killer in another one of my games. KingoftheZempk Comments: Just when you get back into mafia you're killed on night one. I didn't really notice much on Day One though. Mostlytechnic Comments: I already mentioned that targeting def was a bad idea, so you know that one already. I sort of gave you feedback already, but metagaming is always a bad idea. Jamesn Comments: You never got targeted at night, but you were still a strong presence in game trying to presumably lure scum to target you. jluck Comments: You went out on night one which is usually a mistake, but you were killed that night anyway. It's always a shame when the town loses their vigilante on night one though. TrumpetKing: Comments: You had a silly role that I already revealed, but you were only sort of active in thread. TinyPiesRUs Comments: The star of the game I think, your move on Day Two had to have been the ballsiest move I've seen in awhile. MT came to me asking what the deal was since he was the godfather and should have come back as town. Amazing job coming back from a bandwagon to leading the town to victory. Tamamono Comments: I loved your action so much. I contemplated telling all players that they could submit a random action, but it would've been too much. Nevertheless, I was sad when you died. Kintobor Comments: You weren't really around too much, I even mentioned I was thinking of modkilling you. I wish you could've been more active. def Comments: You were killed off really early by metagaming, but hey, it happens. It screwed over the scum in the end since TPRU watched you and saw MT kill you, so even in your death you helped the town. Sandy Comments: Welcome back to mafia! Mostlytechnic's lynch screwed you over big time, and you tried valiantly to save yourself, but it was to no avail. I hope you stay around and keep playing though. Lady K Comments: Everyone thinks you're scum every game. I even thought you defected to the scum team somehow. You targeted def on night one to determine his alignment in the hopes of presumably start another townblock. You should've targeted somebody random ideally.
  21. It was a total joke role that I included just because the idea amused me.
  22. I knew your alignment and I still thought you were scum. An interesting thing to note, I knew I wasn't going to be around for the end of Day Three and the start of Day Four, so I shot every possible contingency (well over 100 photos) of the serial killer kill, the scum kill, the paranoid gun owner, several lynches in case Sandy was somehow saved, etc. The death scene on Day Four was supposed to be the scum kill, but since StickFig was blocked I changed it to the serial killer kill because that's only one picture. I even shot StickFig being killed by the PGO and Serial Killer, and I was really glad it didn't happen because then I'd be screwed having not shot a conclusion. This one is my favorite, it's what would have happened to TPRU if he was killed, unedited of course: Here he is bringing flowers to Tammo's deathspot. Uh oh, it's the scum! And a very bright Tammo! Maybe he's being resurrected. And that's the end of him. Unfortunately (or fortunately for TPRU) I never got to use this one, which is a shame because it's my favorite. I just wanted to post that really quickly. I'll have more to say later of course.
