  1. I thought I made my reasoning very clear when I did vote for him. I was pointing out how odd it was that he questioned Foorth's ping. It may have been some splendid roleplay, but it also could have had some sinister undertones that he could not try to pass off as roleplay. I found it suspect and I voted for him. Is there some reason you're bringing my vote yesterday into question?
  2. Having a lynch on Day One is always important, I'm afraid! Day One lynches reveal a lot of wonderful information, for instance, people seem to think I'm suspect because I wasn't entirely convinced that Perce was all that scummy.
  3. Unvote: Ray Christiansen (Dragonfire) I'm still going to watch you though, I'm afraid! Vote: Perce Triggs (Tachyon) To me he does seem like a confused townie, but we do need a lynch.
  4. I'm not serious, and don't call me Shirley. My name is Woodcock, friend! I must say, your reply to Foorth's ping was rather peculiar to me! Helpless roleplay, or a subtle questioning of the logic?! Vote: Ray Christiansen (Dragonfire) This doesn't have to be a final vote, but I'm reacting to something I saw and didn't much like! Fantastic!
  5. Good morning, friends! Ah, wonderful! We've got our first confirmed townie! Smashing! What, what? Do you mean he's scum? Dear me! The towniest of the towns? Splendid! It's absolutely superb to know who our town members are! Excellent! In all seriousness though, chaps, I'm not exactly sure why Anthony is so set on voting for Elijah. Other than claiming to be the towniest of the towns, I haven't really seen him do much of anything else that's suspect! Is there a reason for your tunnel vision this early on Day One?
  6. Hello! My name is Woodcock, the Guardian of this Hall. It's absolutely wonderful to see you all! I hope we have a glorious time together! Fantastic!
  7. Put me on the reserves. If you need more people when you close the signups, I'll play. 1.) Have you played in a Mafia game before? If not, do you get how it works? 2.) Will you be pretty free to play for however long this plays out (excluding the week of the 22nd, of course)? 3.) Rate, from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest, how upset will you be with me if I don't get these pictures and days out on a totally prompt schedule (these pictures take a long time to edit)? 4.) If, in case you get angry, take it out on Danny, yea? 5.) If you were in a plane crash, what magical destination (like in Lost) would you prefer it crash on? 6.) Is Scotland, or is it not, the most peaceful and beautiful place in the entire world? 1) I've played in: - Baritones I - Witch Hunt Mafia - Baritones II - Galactic Paranoia ( ) - Noir Mafia - Mystical Castle - Infection Mafia - Imperial Soldier's Mafia - Dystopia Mafia - Eurodina Mafia - Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Werewolf Mafia - The Forest Mafia - Baritones III - Dr. Bloodbricks Asylum II - The Curse of IMHOTEP - Yakuza Family Mafia - Steampunk Mafia - The Forest Mafia II - Ragnarok Now! Mafia - Heartlake Heartbreak - Aperture Academy - Harriet Slutter and the Philosopher's Balls - Mafia Mafia - Silver City Mafia - Mafia After Dark - Ragnarok Now! Redux! - Mafia Sunset - Red Menace Mafia - Party Lines Mafia - Unrest in the Forest - Pelly's Paradise - Blacktron Mafia - Scooby Doo Mafia Maybe more, they all blend together after awhile. The sad thing is I haven't won that many. 2) Probably 3) Probably 2 4) Probably 5) Probably a mountain, so I can die and not get stuck in the plot from Lost. 6) Probably
  8. Excellent game! Short but exciting, and I really did enjoy the comics. This is something that hits with me too. I usually write up detailed bios that largely get ignored after the first day or two. I even add this in as a rule/guideline to all of my games: I obviously don't demand RPing or provide penalties for not doing it, but I think the game is a bit more fun with the additional RP. I can understand that it sort of goes out the window towards the end of the game, but I still think it's a fun aspect that's largely being ignored lately. I do credit Dragonfire with staying in character during Blacktron Mafia, though.
  9. Desiree is one of the others I'd consider voting for. Lynn Benton as well, for this: Yes, she's critiquing one of my posts, but the timing of it is all off. This is one of the first things I and a few others said today, and it's already been scrutinized and explained. To me it just seems like she's repeating something that's easy and able to make her posts look like they have substance. Her entire reply to my post was basically a regurgitation of everything that was said early in the day. I don't necessarily want to vote for Carla, but I will just to ensure we have a lynch in case one of the poorly formatted votes are not counted. Vote: Carla Riddle (Dragonator) I'm sorry grandma!
  10. As suspicious as I find Carla's speculation about the game mechanics is, I just can't see myself voting for her over it. It just doesn't feel right to me and I think we're rushing into this vote here. I said earlier that I thought this was going to snowball and now it is. I know we talked about how suspect the post was a little bit at the end of yesterday, but still, I don't know if I can do it. There's still time left today, so I'm going to wait before I send my grandma to the chopping block.
  11. Carla's post is suspicious, as I've said. It could be that she was trying to speculate on game mechanics and abilities, but it could also be a legitimate slip-up. People have historically been lynched for less in these sorts of games. I'm sort of treating this like Day One, Part Two, since everyone is still alive and there were no night actions. We don't really have anything to go on except for what happened on the real Day One. All we can look at is what stuck out to us most on Day One. That post is one of them for me, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to dive head first into a lynch and add to a potential snowball bangwagon. I'm going to hold off for now. That should be bandwagon, not bangwagon...The latter is something much different, I'm sure.
  12. Do you think there's a chance that since we didn't get to use our night actions last night, the scum didn't get to use their actions? I do concur with Patti's questioning of Carla, since that's something that stood out to me quite clearly yesterday. Additionally, she pushed for a watcher instead of a tracker. To me, the watcher just seems like more of a defensive role instead of an offensive one. The watcher would simply be watching the cop to see if they die at night. Doing this also puts the cop right in the crosshairs, regardless of whether or not the watcher is watching the cop.
  13. I'm not going to write off the possibility wholesale, but it's perhaps for the purpose of just listing a possible downside to the role. At the same time, however, there were no negatives attributed to the other roles, just this one. I don't know, it doesn't seem right to me that the host would include a role that the scum have, but this is not the most conventional game, so anything is possible.
  14. Vote: Cop Vote: Tracker I said earlier that the cop and watcher were the best choice, but the tracker is better than a watcher in this case, which is why I'm going with those two.
  15. If I had to venture a guess, I'd say that the role was being quoted verbatim. It's highly unlikely that it would be revealed to us that there is a mafia strongman role. That's not information that is passed on to the town. At the same time, it is viable that such a role would have been given to them in such a game with a small amount of scum. With that being said, I'd go with the investigator and perhaps the watcher. The protector is a role that to me doesn't seem all that useful. If I'm honest, it just seems to be the type of role that wouldn't be as useful. It's a logical assumption that the scum can kill, since we're given the doctor role and since the premise of the investigation is that there's a killer out there. So, the protector has, at present, eight other people they would be able to protect from a potential scum kill. The odds aren't too good there. I'm under the belief we should go for the more offensive town roles instead of the defensive ones.
  16. I'd like to play. 1) *throws Scooby Snack* 2) Probably not 3) Shaggy is my favorite character, if I'm honest. 4) Yes. 5) No thanks, if I'm not selected, I'll be on the sidelines I edited because I posted the list without replying.
  17. Why would you order the kill on Dragonfire? He was the scum godfather, after all. That doesn't make a lot of sense to kill one of your own team. Dragonfire had to have been the godfather, He was investigated as town. Come on, post the real conclusion pictures in which he gets up and joins his Blacktron comrades! He was "killed" with blanks!
  18. I almost included while writing on our typewriters by candlelight, but then I remembered that happened much more recently.
  19. I think a lot of people figured he was acting way too outlandish to actually be scum. That and he had the rest of the townblock convinced. I think if they didn't bag CMP then Dave would've been lynched, but who knows. Also people believed Hinckley's suspicions were off because he was an old veteran??? His response to that was one of the funnier posts in the game I think though.
  20. Dumbasses, I told you it was Dragonfire and Lind Whisperer. What? They came up as town? Damn. Sometimes people just get tunnel vision (see above, where I thought Dragonfire and or Lind were scum for the entire game) CMP PM'd me and asked if I could win with the scum, presumably guessing that I was the serial killer, so I forwarded that on to you because he revealed you as the investigator. I wanted to tell you that there was a hole in the town block (of course I thought it was Dragonfire) I was involved in it, and I don't even know what happened. I think Stig pulled a MT and invented an asinine code to confuse the town. Amazing game though, I had a blast with all the prank actions! I was initially given the night option to send poetry to the hosts, but on Night One I instead told them I wanted to cut up a fruit salad with my new sword and dump it all over Lind. Then night two I cut off her hair and stole her helmet. Night three I went back to my fruit salad roots on Ranger and last night I tried hiding under my bed.
