Everyone gasped. "Also, I need the Mayor from yesterday to tell me who he wants to investigate. He neglected to tell me yesterday. He is supposed to say who he wants to investigate publicly here." He must pick a Town Council Chair and nominate that person publicly here. Then you will have 24 hours to approve his government by voting either Yes or No. He should do so ASAP without delay. If he does not within 24 hours from now, it will be a failed government and a new mayor will be selected. Remember, if three governments fail in a row (that would be 72 hours theoretically - three 24 hour periods), then the top card is flipped and that policy is enacted.

I'm going to leave this thread open until the next day is ready to go up. From now on, there won't be a night time.

"Oh, that's bad." Bob said as a second Mafia! card was placed down. A few out of frame characters from the Excalibur Mafia series agreed. Way out of frame, a character from Prohibition nodded his head in affirmation. The streets appeared in dire need of sweeping. "I'll get on that straight away." Bob said.

Status report from your host. A few things that I'd like to say: 1) I think the game is going very well and it's certainly not a disaster. I expected a few restarts and reshuffles because of host error but surprisingly I haven't messed up and nobody else has either. 2) This game has helped me plan for the next one I'm planning, which should have more of a story and background and better design than this one. I told everyone at the start that there's no story in this one because the game mechanics are more important, and that's true. This is the most meta story I've done I think. 3) Hosting should be back to it's regularly scheduled times. I've taken fhomess' advice and I'm letting the game run its course, so there shouldn't be anymore delays. 4) Participation has been lacking for sure but I think that's because this is a new concept and there's not many players. All the same, I'm sure we can do better. That's all from me I think. I'm continuing to give tips and tricks behind the scenes to players. Don't think it's an unfair advantage. I'm treating this as a mafia school since only a few have played before.

Trying something a little different, instead of a vote count, I'll just say if it passes or fails. The government today has passed! Ralph and Anne are your two government officials.

The new Mayor is Ralph Brooks / Actor Builder! If two more governments fail, the top card will be flipped.

Even still there's a lot of room for discussion. If Khscarymovie4 doesn't appear in the next couple hours I'll select a new Mayor for the day.

I'm planning on running the game a second time if possible, so I'll try it next time.

I was contemplating turning it into a mega-thread with no "days" anymore, but I don't know if it'll work out too well. So, Day Three will be up imminently.

Day Three will be a little delayed while I try and work out the logistics of a potential new game mechanic. Sorry everyone, but like I said, this game is a beta test, so expect radical changes. That said, I plan on spending the next couple days mulling over this since it'd be very different.

SECRET ENEMIES Day Two: Where's the Night Kills? Everyone looked around, but there were no pictures. "Hey, what's up?" you ask me. "Where's the pictures?" Well, nothing happened last night and nothing will happen any night so there's no need for pictures every single morning. "That's dumb." you say. Well, I am a bit distracted at the moment but I don't want to delay the day, and since there's no need for pictures as I said I can put it up without having to do much of anything except pick a name out of a hat and copy and paste the opening bit from Day One. "I'll never play in another Bob game again!" But...I was thinking of hosting Excalibur IV sometime after this... "Wait!" a voice cries out from inside the game itself, causing both Bob and the viewer to look. "Wasn't me, I didn't say anything." said the janitor It was Betsy Bowers / Forresto! "I've just been told I'm needed for a huge oil spill down in the bay! I can't be here anymore." Everyone backed away from her, waiting to see how she would be mod-killed, but instead, she simply entered her car and left. Wait, before you go Betsy! Are you the Godfather? "Don't you already know that answer, you're the host. I'm not the Godfather." This day is now over! The cards are indeed discarded, but when I run out of cards in the deck I made (there's 17, we've used 3) they're reshuffled, so all the policies discarded are made into a new deck.

"One out of the Five necessary town cards has been played." Behind him, a few citizens were amazed at how a 1x2 tile grew into a huge card. A bicyclist looked annoyed that her route had been obstructed by a piece of paper. ~~~ The day will remain open for 24 hours more. During this time, you may discuss what you think this means and how it makes the two players look. Chromeknight and Khscarymovie4 may now post in here is well and can disclose which cards were given to them and how it makes the other player look. I understand this is a new game, so experiment to your hearts desire. This is not mafia, you have no danger of being lynched if you say something crazy. Since I don't want to have a heavy hand in this and give things away, I will allow the players that have played this game before to metagame and explain what this result might mean.

Important: Chromeknight and Khscarymovie4 are unable to post in this thread until the policy is selected! The cards say either "Mafia!" or "Town!" on them in pencil. I cut them out myself neat and nice myself. You will see what the cards look like after the TCC has picked. (thanks to whoever first abbreviated Town Council Chair to TCC, it's made it so much easier!)
