Final Vote Count: Brian Barnes (Shadows) - 11 (jluck, Dragonfire, StickFig, TrumpetKing, jamesn, KingoftheZempk, Lady K, Kintobor, Piratedave84, Dannylonglegs, Jackjonespaw) Al Cooper (TinyPiesRUs) - 1 (Shadows) Ace Brickman (Kintobor) - 1 (Tamamono) Irene Allen (mostlytechnic) - 1 (TinyPiesRUs) Sarah Harris (Jackjonespaw) - 3 (mostlytechnic, Palathadric, Sandy) Gregory McHenry (Lady K) -1 (def) With 11 votes, Brian Barnes (Shadows) has been lynched. ~~~ Many names had been tossed about all day and voted for, but in the end, the town had settled on Brian Barnes (Shadows). "I'm innocent, I tell you! You have to believe me!" But nobody would believe him, not even his own wife, who voted for him. That's a really cruel way to divorce. "So." the Mayor started. "This is who you've brought me." "Yes!!!!!!" the town yells. The Mayor brandishes a gun! There's several gasps from the assembled crowd. "Oh, what? No, I'm not going to shoot him. That's not very Mayoral. This is just my antique gun I wanted you all to look at." And so, Brian was led to the poorly decorated interior of the police transport van. "I'm innocent! You have to believe me!" "You said that already. Give it a rest." one of the officers said. "I didn't even want to open a grocery store! I just wanted to be a door-to-door toaster salesman!" But it's too late for any sudden career changes. ~~~ Get those night actions in!

Main Street Mafia Day One: Mass Exodus True to the Mayor's words, traffic out of the town took up two lanes as people traveled in a massive convoy of various assembled modes of transportation that were in the immediate reach to do this scene. Leaving behind a diminished police force, who looked saddened at the departure of their fellow citizens. "We don't look saddened." says one of the officers. That's because your facial exp ressions don't change. A few days later, the investigation into the corruption at City Hall led to the arrest of the City Treasurer. "And I would have gotten away with it to, if it wasn't for you meddling officers!" he said. The Mayor, the Prosecutor, and the Chief of Police stood quite proudly behind the arrested man, satisfied that they had weeded out a scumbag from their administration. However, they were quickly halted by... A huge lynch mob of the townsfolk that remained gathered to confront the corrupt politician, carrying various weapons ranging from clubs to pots to lightsabers to jerks! "What do we want?!" somebody from the crowd cheered. "A lynch mob!!!" they all yelled. "When do we want it?!" "As soon as it's convenient!!!" "Citizens, please!" the Mayor pleaded. "I know you're all really angry, but we can't stoop down and resort to this kind of violence!" But suddenly, a shot rang out, piercing the silence that fell after the Mayor's speech. The bullet hit the City Treasurer, and he flew back to the ground. The police reacted by pointing their weapons at the various buildings, but they didn't know where the shot came from! The townsfolk didn't react, since they were all used to the gunfire by this point and they wanted to know if the treasurer was still alive so they could beat him to death. "Oh screw the justice system." the Mayor said, obviously pissed off. He descended down from the Town Hall, and started to step onto the now former city treasurer. Using the body as a makeshift platform, he spoke to the townspeople. "For too long we have lived in constant fear of the Milano Mafia! It is obvious to me that there are members of the mafia amongst you. That these crimes could continue with all the other citizens gone means that some of you must be scum! Therefore, every day I want you to vote amongst yourselves and bring me whoever you think is scum. The fate of the town is in your hands!" Emboldened by the Mayor's speech, the citizens talk amongst themselves about which of their friends could possibly be scum. "Why don't we just investigate them all more thoroughly than not at all?" the Chief of Police asked. "Shut up." ~~~ Players (18): Sarah Harris, owner of the Grand Emporium -- Jackjonespaw Christopher Harris, Sarah's Husband -- Dragonfire Brian Barnes, owner of the Green Grocer -- Shadows Wanda Barnes, Brian's Wife -- Piratedave84 Eric Foster, Co-owner of Chez Albert -- Palathadric Ann Foster, Co-owner of Chez Albert -- StickFig Eugene Bryant, Chef at Chez Albert -- Dannylonglegs Carl Hill, Waiter at Chez Albert -- KingoftheZempk Irene Allen, Firefighter -- Mostlytechnic Louis Murphy, Owner of the Pet Shop -- Jamesn Katherine Murphy, Louis' Wife -- jluck Linda Cook, Owner of the Palace Cinema -- TrumpetKing Al Cooper, Owner of Al's Barber Shop -- TinyPiesRUs Pamela Cooper, Al's Wife -- Tamamono Ace Brickman, Private Detective -- Kintobar Shirley Carter, Brickman's Secretary and Lover -- def Russell Price, Dockworker -- Sandy Gregory McHenry, Res-Q Seaman -- Lady K Rules: 1) Every player has received their own character. Any third party characters have received their own conditions. 2) Every day you will be able to vote for a player. Voting should be done as so: Vote: Character (Player). Unvoting is to be done in the same fashion: Unvote: Character (Player). A majority vote is required to lynch a player. You must vote every day, or you'll receive some sort of devious punishment. 3) A game day will last 72 hours, but if a unanimous vote is acheived after the 48 hour mark and the day thread goes quiet, the day may end early to my discresion. You may not vote within the first 24 hours of the day. Once the day is over, you will have 24 hours to send in a night action if this applies to you. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage. 6) You are encouraged to role-play in this game. I've provided a role for you to expand upon if you wish. With that being said, please try not to post out of character in the game thread. You may PM other players, but do so at your own risk. 7) If you die, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any players. Any information you had is null and void and is not allowed to be passed on under any circumstances. 8) Don't edit your posts. 9) You must post in every day thread. 10) Try to be nice to your fellow players. It's a game on a LEGO forum. 11) Violation of your first rule will result in a 5-vote penalty and your second violation will result in your death! 12) If any player asks you to break these rules or does break these rules in private, report them to me immediately with proof of their violation.

Just waiting on one more. What a surprise that Brickshelf is "down for maintenance" right before the game starts. I'm pretty sure this happened the last time I hosted too. The show must go on and I'll use an alternative if I have to.

Main Street Mafia: Confirmation and Discussion "This is Ashley Frost reporting to you live from Cedar Falls City Hall, where notorious gangster Anthony Milano, Godfather of the Milano Family has just been denied bail, and is being sent back to prison to await trial." "And here comes Mr. Milano now with his lawyer! For now we'll have to wait and see how this trial plays out. For Channel Three News, I'm Ashley Frost." Anthony Milano displayed obvious anger, but deep down he knew everything would work out in his favor. Behind, the Chief of Police and the County Prosecutor smiled with satisfaction as the gangster was taken back to prison. The police were on high alert; they'd even called in a few FBI agents to help. Everything seemed to be going to plan. But even the best of plans can be disrupted in an instant. "Get down, boss!" shouted one of the mobsters, pulling a machine gun out of a violin case. How it fit in there is the greatest mystery. Milano jumped to the ground instantly. Behind them, the two FBI agents ducked into cover instinctively. However, rookie officer Wendy Cruz and Milano's lawyer stood like deer in headlights. Behind all of them, a football player seems to have fallen down. As the shots ran out, they both fell to the floor, dead. Milano got back up and rushed towards a getaway bike, as another mobster took out his own weapon to cover his boss. The other officers appeared to be in shock, but really it's just because they were forgotten about until editing this photo. "Get on, boss." said the mobster, rather nonchalantly. "Stop them! Don't let them get away!" The Chief of Police bellowed. But it was too late. Milano was on the motorcycle, sitting quite comically, as it drove away, because if they were captured then there wouldn't be a mafia game. "It's a shame that we accidentally killed your lawyer, boss." the driver said. "Meh, if he was any good I would have been granted bail." The Mayor was enraged. He slammed his fists down on the table at the Chief of Police and the Prosecutor. "I was elected on a platform to stop the crime and corruption in this city! How could you let this happen?!" he yelled. "You can't blame us, sir! Surely it must have been an inside job of sorts!" "We need to stop this and recapture Milano before we face a full-scale revolt in this city! Already dozens of citizens are packing up and leaving town! If we don't stop them, I fear nothing will save our tiny town or small city or whatever this place is!" ~~~ Players (18): Sarah Harris, owner of the Grand Emporium -- Jackjonespaw Christopher Harris, Sarah's Husband -- Dragonfire Brian Barnes, owner of the Green Grocer -- Shadows Wanda Barnes, Brian's Wife -- Piratedave84 Eric Foster, Co-owner of Chez Albert -- Palathadric Ann Foster, Co-owner of Chez Albert -- StickFig Eugene Bryant, Chef at Chez Albert -- Dannylonglegs Carl Hill, Waiter at Chez Albert -- KingoftheZempk Irene Allen, Firefighter -- Mostlytechnic Louis Murphy, Owner of the Pet Shop -- Jamesn Katherine Murphy, Louis' Wife -- jluck Linda Cook, Owner of the Palace Cinema -- TrumpetKing Al Cooper, Owner of Al's Barber Shop -- TinyPiesRUs Pamela Cooper, Al's Wife -- Tamamono Ace Brickman, Private Detective -- Kintobar Shirley Carter, Brickman's Secretary and Lover -- def Russell Price, Dockworker -- Sandy Gregory McHenry, Res-Q Seaman -- Lady K Rules: 1) Every player has received their own character. We're nearing that twenty-four hour mark and we have the 18 players. Confirmation should go up soon before midnight EST, so expect your roles around then! This thread can be locked, please! If for some inexplicable reason you've been under a rock this past week and are just now emerging looking to play mafia, PM me ASAP!
-
We've reached eighteen, but I'm going to keep sign-ups open for twenty-four or so more hours. After that roles will go out and if everyone confirms we'll be ready to go very soon! I guess I haven't been too clear on the theme. It's mafia related. Sort of basic town versus scum. Except it won't be a "basic" game.
-
Still at least four spots open, but like I said, the more people who join past eighteen the better!
-
Still plenty of room! But I'm going to keep it open for awhile longer.

Hello and welcome to the sign up thread for Main Street Mafia! Don't let the vague banner fool you, you won't be assigned a mini-modular building as your character, however interesting that may be. You'll just have to wait until the action packed confirmation thread. Before you sign up, please answer the following questions: 1) Have you played mafia before and/or have you graduated from a mafia school? 2) Will you be available for the duration of the game? 3) Let's say in a totally hypothetical situation that's not going to be used when assigning you a character of course that you wanted to open a store. What would that store be and why? 4) Defiantly or definitely? 5) Please write a sixty page dissertation on the theory of mafia games. 6) That last one is a joke, please don't do that. You must also promise to not make fun of the horrible banner and the sub-par photography that's become a staple in my games. A few additional notes, I'm looking for an undetermined amount of players, at least eighteen. Fret not if you're the nineteenth person, because I've made plenty of back up roles and the mechanics of the game would work better with more players.

Pelly's Paradise: Conclusion: An End to Effort
Bob replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
This was a really fun game and I enjoyed myself a lot. I think I liked being in love with myself a bit more than I should have, but hey, love is love. As for Brickelodeon, I really thought that you were the serial killer trying to survive an extra day by voting off jluck instead of Zepher, who was blatantly scum. Your entire game was so scummy that it caused your townie actions to be thrown into question. I came across as the serial killer during most of Day Four, and I think that's why Zepher came after me. I'm not too angry though, he saved me from rhyming the entire day. -
Pelly's Paradise: Conclusion: An End to Effort
Bob replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I was so off with the Serial Killer, but I was pretty accurate with a lot of other people. I don't know why I was so convinced Brickelodeon wasn't town. I'll talk more later. Congrats town! -
Pelly's Paradise Day Four: Bang, You Dead
Bob replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I have a useless item and you'll save me from rhyming tomorrow, but I don't think you should kill me since, you know, you actually need members of the town? But alright. I'll answer everything that Lind "Trying to Save Himself" Whisperer has brought up. Why don't you go back and read the previous days instead of saying something like that? It's all fine and dandy to say "you haven't participated!!!" but only when that's true. Secondly, I'm not attacking whichever targets are most likely, I'm targeting the people that are scum. You, Darkdragon, and Zepher. I removed MT because I felt unsure, and I removed Fhomess as well. Hey, look, Fhomess turned out to be town. MT turned out to be scum. That's my bad that I removed him from my list. If you'll notice I've been more consistent with my scum list. Yes. I'm picking on the most likely target (read: you). You're scum and everybody knows it. You're just flailing around at this point. Yes, and that was a joke response. Again, your defense is basically accusing me because there's absolutely no way of defending yourself. You're attempting to take me with you. You're only quoting my posts and you're basically saying the exact same thing about them. You're going to be lynched today. The flailing is amusing, though.
