  1. "They're just simple supplies! You'll need to read the manifest." Captain Harding says. The townsfolk walk for about a mile, until they reach the end of the tunnel. There's a ladder up, but there's no light, as if the exit has been covered up by what's keeping the tunnel secret.
  2. "I'm just a general practitioner. I could perform simple surgeries, after getting a crash course at Midway." Dr.Lloyd says.
  3. The ceiling is dimly illuminated via hanging light strips. The floor has pieces of metal on it at regular intervals, and the walls curve. There are currently three people at the farmhouse (Dolores Jefferson, Officer Harrison, and Ralph Jenkins.) Everyone else is in the tunnel. The note from the armory and the note found this morning are from the same handwriting. Dr.Lloyd and Nurse Parker certainly do, but who said anything about a laboratory?
  4. The group continues to travel south. There are no strange sounds. So far, there isn't another exit or another passage. Gloria throws a rock at the wall, but nothing happens. She continues down the tunnel.
  5. It's not possible to tell how old the metal is. Simmons taps on the different metal places, but nothing moves it. He then taps on the rocks to look for an opening mechanism, but nothing happens. Nothing is found on the floor, either. "We're just a small police force, not the Army." Chief Phelps says. "Shall we follow the tunnel down to see where it leads? This wall isn't going anyplace." Congressman Bob says.
  6. There wasn't one. Mayor Bradford tries to pull a piece of metal out of the wall, but he's not able too. It appears to be fused in. They're support, as behind them is hollow. Stevie taps the broom against the tunnel wall. It's very sturdy, as though it's been reinforced. There is also no mine cart.
  7. Ralph helps lower King into the tunnel. He then remains in the store. Dolores waits outside. Farmer Simmons looks at the rocks. It is made to look like a natural collapse, but it isn't. Mixed with the rocks are a few pieces of metal. The tunnel is wide enough for six people shoulder to shoulder. Officer Harrison waits outside of the tunnel. Dr.Lloyd heads down into the tunnel. Adventurous Patrick heads into the tunnel.
  8. Captain Harding takes a wooden plank and uses it as a club. The boxes are empty regardless. Stevie climbs into the tunnel. James feels around for a light source, and he finds a switch. He switches the lights on, and the lights continue in a straight direction for about a mile down. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. Chief Phelps heads into the tunnel next. After the policemen enter, Mayor Bradford enters. The tunnel is dirt, with a few metal sheet planks on the ground evenly spaced. The tunnel appears to be blocked off behind you, meaning you can only go one way, South, towards the port. The north entrance is blocked by various rocks and other items. The Town Hall and the Farm line up, but the Department Store and the Lighthouse aren't in the line, and are on the other side of town. Captain Harding puts a rock onto the plank. The tunnel is lined with dirt. Gloria heads into the tunnel with the rock. There is no light in the tunnel other than the lights overhead. You can see the tunnel heads South, and North, but the North entrance is blocked off and inaccessible.
  9. Officer Fields opens the boxes, but there's no trapdoor inside the boxes. The interior is largely windowless, and has been gutted. There's only a few boxes in the corner. Mayor Bradford then moves the boxes, there's a small defined door with a latch on it. Stevie taps the walls, but there's no hidden panels/walls. He then taps the floor where the trapdoor is. It's definitely hollow. "This must be the old Prohibition Tunnel." Congressman Bob says.
  10. "It's not up to me, but you certainly can't split up. Not even into groups."
  11. Opening the doors, it's confirmed that there's only a few boxes in the corner throughout the entire store. Strangely enough, it appears to be excellently maintained. There's an explosion off in the distance, towards the port.
  12. Ralph reaches into the bins. He fishes out a key. "We shouldn't split up." Matt says. Ding ding ding! Mayor Bradford then searches under the bins, but there's nothing there. "The store closes twenty years ago at the height of the Depression." Chief Phelps says. "We'd need to use the records." To clarify, the farmhouse is Alan Simmons' home, and not some barn. Would you still like to enter?
  13. They're not that tall yet. Looking at the dirt trail to the General Store, there's no footsteps. Stevie pokes around the corn fields, but there isn't anyone in there. Peering through the old window, you see a few boxes scattered about. The rest of the General Store has been cleared away. "This isn't my property, so no." Simmons says. "That's your job to figure out." The Congressman says. There is no doormat on the outside of the store. There's no prints on the window, and the dust isn't disturbed anywhere. This could mean the store hasn't been accessed, or the dust has settled since last use. Also, there's no doormat. Officer Fields hits Will on the back of the head. Gloria throws a rock, but the window doesn't break. Perhaps finding the key would be easier. There's a few bins nearby the front of the store.
  14. The store is locked. Officer Fields heads over to the General Store, so do the others. Stevie feeds the apple to the horse as Farmer Alan reminds him this isn't a petting zoo. The horse yearns for more, but seems content for the moment. "I'm growing corn and carrots in the fields. I'm also growing apples in the trees. I have a few dogs, a few pigs, a couple of chickens, and a few horses on the farm too." Farmer Alan says. There's nothing to indicate who wrote it. "I've been asking myself that for the past few days, and I haven't been able to reach a solid conclusion." the Congressman says.
  15. I love everything except for the positioning of the Church. It doesn't really fit in between the huge modular buildings, I'd recommend moving it towards another part of the town. It just doesn't seem right in between the taller buildings, unless it's taller itself. The buildings are also turning, as well, which is why I'd recommend putting a street there or something. Everything else is really nice, though! Great job!
  16. I don't normally venture into this part of the forums, but this is a wonderful creation! You've done a wonderful job tiling and curving the walls, that it's too beautiful for words. The train is also very nicely done, could we see the full version of that, if there is one? Also, an overview picture would be nice as well, to see how large this whole thing really is.
  17. There's a field of crops in one area, the farm house in another, a few produce trees in the back, and then the abandoned Alabatha General Store all the way in the back. He then looks under the patio, but there's nothing there. Dr.Lloyd peers into the bushes, but can't find anything odd in there. "It's just a simple note I found on the ground." the Congressman says. Ralph and Farmer Alan hold hands as they walk through the farm. Stevie grabs the broom, and holds onto it. He then taps the trees, but none of them are hollow. No one from this group worked on your election campaign. "I visit this town sometimes. Yes, my friend owns the hotel. He was saving the third floor for me, as always." Captain Harding says. "I believe I investigated Mrs. Jefferson's death." Chief Phelps says. Mayor Bradford then compiles a list. Mayor Bradford - 20 Years Will Ackerson - 15 Years Alan Cain - 12 Years Chief Phelps - 60 Years (Entire Life) Tim Fields - 11 Years Louis Harrison - 11 Years Dieter Schneider - 15 Years Simon Lloyd - 7 Years Patrick Jefferson - 20 Years James Falzone - 26 Years (Entire Life) Julie Parker - 5 Years Alan Simmons - 33 Years (Entire Life) Dolores Jefferson - 4 Years Gloria Jefferson - 14 Years (Entire Life) Stevie Jefferson - 14 Years (Entire Life) Ralph Jenkins - 45 Years Valerie Jenkins - 45 Years Matt Liebenston - 1 Day Ted Harding - 0 Days Jackie Harding - 0 Days Frankie Daly - 0 Days Chief Phelps uses his detective skills to peer into the foliage and around the ground for a secret entrance. There's nothing indicating an entrance to the tunnel. He then looks under the porch, but it's empty. There is no big red building? "I should be staying at the Hotel, but since my room is a crime scene, I'll stay on my boat." Ted says. (Also, feel free to tell your own tales. I've given everyone enough information to do so, and you can make up things as long as you go. Just as long as you don't say you were Space Robot Millionaires in your younger days.)
  18. The name Harborside Boats does not mean anything to you. They are all written in the same handwriting. Mayor Bradford then fills in the newcomers on what has happened. The townsfolk head for the Simmons' Farm. "Shouldn't you have a warrant or somethin'?" Farmer Simmons asks. However, the fear of the increasing mob outside persuades him to let the people head inside and search his farm. "Look at this note I found on the way here." The Congressman says. It reads: "Be wary of newcomers to the town."
  19. "He's not one of us." the Congressman says. Gloria would like to search the Lakota. Only one bullet has been fired. Stevie pinches himself. He's not dreaming. Captain Harding pulls out his personal copy of the Constitution. "Just some supplies from England." Captain Harding says. The ship has been expected for the last week and a half. "I'll take that." Chief Phelps says. He takes the pistol from Captain Harding, and holds onto it for safe keeping. Chief Phelps suggests going to the farm. King moves behind Ralph, and stays on full alert. Valerie stays behind Ralph as well. "After close examination, I've determined that this isn't one of the two spies we're looking for. That means that there's two spies among you right now that we know of." Inspector Liebenston says. "Shall we go to the farm now?" Chief Phelps asks.
  20. The Assassin is not someone from the town, nor is he a former town member. Searching the body, James discovers a small piece of paper with the letter O written on it. The spy does not have a pulse. You'd need to ask to search their ship, or get a majority vote. It's standard Soviet Issue. It's only fire one bullet, and the serial number has been scratched off. Frankie stands to the side. "The man who saved me was not the deckhand, it was the CIA agent." "It's the same paper on X-K2P, that I've secured away. I no longer have it on my person." the Congressman said. Where would you like to go first?
  21. "I had an excellent dinner, James." the lifeguard said. "Would you like to come upstairs?" James asked. "Would I!" The couple ran up the stairs. A figure, however, was watching them the entire time. ----------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, Congressman Bob was heading home. "Hello, Congressman." a man said. "Hello..." "I've heard much about you in training camp in glorious Soviet Union. The Famous Red Hunter, right next to Nixon." "Indeed." *WHAM* The pistol went off, shooting into the night. The shot rang out all across the town. The board had sent the would-be assassin into the fountain. The second figure started to drown him in the water. When the deed was done, he pulled him out and threw him into the street. "Thanks." the congressman said. "I've stalled X-K2P. That ship that's arriving tomorrow, I'll need to disable it so they can't escape that way. The National Guard is assembling around town as I speak." the second figure said. "I feel so disgusted." "Relax. Hopefully we won't need to utilize the program." The next day, the townsfolk assembled around the body of the assassin. "This man is clearly a Soviet Union spy." Matt said. The townsfolk gasped. A real communist in Alabatha? Breaking the silence was a ships horn. A large cargo ship sailed into Alabatha Harbor, docking. The crew stepped off and approached the group. "Hello." they all said. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Characters: Government Workers Ian Bradford (Mayor) played by Walter Kovacs Will Ackerson (Town Councilman) played by iamded Alan Cain (Judge) played by JCC1004 Ryan Phelps (Police Chief) played by JimButcher Tim Fields (Police Officer) played by CallMePie Louis Harrison (Police Officer) played by Brickme --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Working Class Dieter Schneider (Chef) played by Shadows Simon Lloyd (Doctor) played by Burman Patrick Jefferson (Lawyer) Played by Professor Flitwick James Falzone (Dock Worker) played by CorneliusMurdock Julie “Princess” Parker (Nurse) played by The Crazy One Alan Simmons (Farmer) played by Fugazi -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Dolores Jefferson (Housewife) played by Def Gloria Jefferson (Student) played by Admiral Ron Stevie Jefferson (Student) played by Legonater Ralph Jenkins (Retired Salesman) played by Cralegoboy Valerie Jenkins (Housewife) played by Sok117 Matt Liebenston (HUAC Investigator) Played by Dragonator ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Arrivals Ted Harding (Captain of the Lakota) Played by Capt.JohnPaul Jackie Harding (Ted's Wife) Played by Captain Becker Frankie Daly (Deckhand) Played by Captain Genero Reserves: -Mrlegoninja -Peanuts Rules: (Borrowed partly from Dragonator’s Mystery Manor) 1. There are 18 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. I am trusting you all not to drop out halfway through, as that is never any fun. 2. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalized statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. 3. This game is meant to be fun, so enjoy yourselves! 4. Please be patient with me between chapters, I will try to put up the chapter topics as quickly as possible, but, this might not be so all the time. 5. Please try to avoid editing your posts, as it can lead to suspicion against you. Just consider what you want to say before you say it, and you'll be fine. 6. Please remember that this is the early 1950’s. No iPods, digital cameras, cell phones, printers, computers, fax machines, or otherwise. No events past the current date either, or else people will view you as insane. 7. I won’t keep you in a certain room if you don’t want me too. You’ll always have the option of backtracking or researching the same place. 8. The host is usually always right. If you think I’ve made an error, then please discuss this in the discussion thread or feel free to PM me. 9. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the death of your character. 10. Remember that although a chapter has ended, that doesn’t mean that the day has concluded, and night actions can be used. 10b. There are also chapter actions. Those of you with chapter actions have the ability to use them at the end of each chapter. 11. No Metagaming please. Also, don’t base suspicions on how the person looks. Rules may be added or deleted as the game goes on based on game play. 12. This is the 1950’s, the middle of the Cold War. You’re under constant worry of potential nuclear Armageddon, so act like it. The Communists are your enemies in this game, don’t forget that. Also, anytime historical facts from the 1950’s are brought in is a big plus.
  22. As long as you say: Then you may have side PM conversations with others.
  23. No NPC is a spy unless stated. I also can't comment on how you guys are doing, sorry.
  24. I didn't mind the whole argument against the Congressman, it was understandable and welcome. You'll learn about this later in the game. Also none of the NPC's are communists. I'll also get a rough map together by Chapter Four.
  25. Comments or Questions on the game thus far? I'd like to know how my hosting is, too.
