  1. Attention All Players: The game is scheduled to start tomorrow, November 26th, 2010 at approximately 7:00P.M EST I believe I should also inform you that my computer is dying on me, and I've already ordered a new one that should be here on the 5th of December. However, I can assure you that this will not impact gameplay, as if this computer dies, I have my desktop that I'll use Once again, we are on schedule one hundred percent.
  2. I don't think we should target the people who rarely speak, because Senator Constance says she's going to kill them anyway. Who else was on Stash's list? The only person we haven't killed or authenticated as town is Abe Hollis. Should we focus on him today?
  3. I understand that people want to start early, but I feel that a good amount of people will be busy all week until Friday. Therefore, it'll start on the 26th. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you guys.
  4. Vote: Alice Nutter / Alice I was going to wait in case we were going to vote out someone else, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
  5. I ignored your first post, since someone else answered it and I asked people not to complain that they weren't picked initially, but I feel with you posting again it deserves a proper answer. I did pick the experienced players, but I also picked a bit of the inexperienced players. This isn't a mafia game, where it requires little skill other than to vote someone out. This is a mystery game, where one will need excellent skill and knowledge, and a background of mafia games. You need intuition, the ability to question. This is why most people signed on have either been in a mafia game, a mystery game, or both. Second of all, you said yourself that you weren't even in any type of game, mafia or mystery. You also didn't explain what you knew about the Cold War, which brings me to my next point; The second or third line of the first post in this topic says and I semi-quote "Don't fret if you weren't picked initially, you'll most likely get in later on as I introduce more players to the game." I'm giving you the opportunity to watch how the others play, and to research on the Cold War, and to read past mafia/mystery games. By not throwing you into the game headfirst without a helmet, I'm allowing you to research and prepare for your role. Relax, please. There is a method to my madness, so don't worry. There are more roles coming in. What chapters they arrive I'm not sure yet, but I do know they will be coming.
  6. Don't worry. I doubt these will be the only women roles, as there will be more people introduced as the game progresses. I was thinking Operator and Maid could be the other professions, but I'm not sure.
  7. Clearly. Hinckley makes all the banners on this site.
  8. Sorry, I appear to be having memory loss and can't remember or find Stash's list. Who are we voting for today?
  9. You're all confirmed! All the PM's are out, within the hour of the thread being posted like I promised.
  10. (Thank Shadows for the new Banner, kids!) Thank you for all those who showed interest in the game and signed up, but I could only let 18 people into the game thus far. Fret not if you weren't picked, because chances are someone'll drop out OR more characters will come in later. Without further wait: Characters: Government Workers Ian Bradford (Mayor) played by Walter Kovacs Will Ackerson (Town Councilman) played by iamded Alan Cain (Judge) played by JCC1004 Ryan Phelps (Police Chief) played by JimButcher Tim Fields (Police Officer) played by CallMePie Louis Harrison (Police Officer) played by Brickme --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Working Class Dieter Schneider (Chef) played by Shadows Simon Lloyd (Doctor) played by Burman Patrick Jefferson (Lawyer) Played by Professor Flitwick James Falzone (Dock Worker) played by CorneliusMurdock Julie “Princess” Parker (Nurse) played by The Crazy One Alan Simmons (Farmer) played by Fugazi -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Dolores Jefferson (Housewife) played by Def Gloria Jefferson (Student) played by Admiral Ron Stevie Jefferson (Student) played by Legonater Ralph Jenkins (Retired Salesman) played by Cralegoboy Valerie Jenkins (Housewife) played by Sok117 Matt Liebenston (HUAC Investigator) Played by Dragonator Reserves: -Captain Genero -Captain Becker -Capt.JohnPaul -Mrlegoninja -Peanuts PM's should be received by the end of the hour. Rules (Again): (Borrowed partly from Dragonator’s Mystery Manor) 1. There are 18 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. I am trusting you all not to drop out halfway through, as that is never any fun. 2. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalized statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. 3. This game is meant to be fun, so enjoy yourselves! 4. Please be patient with me between chapters, I will try to put up the chapter topics as quickly as possible, but, this might not be so all the time. 5. Please try to avoid editing your posts, as it can lead to suspicion against you. Just consider what you want to say before you say it, and you'll be fine. 6. Please remember that this is the early 1950’s. No iPods, digital cameras, cell phones, printers, computers, fax machines, or otherwise. No events past the current date either, or else people will view you as insane. 7. I won’t keep you in a certain room if you don’t want me too. You’ll always have the option of backtracking or researching the same place. 8. The host is usually always right. If you think I’ve made an error, then please discuss this in the discussion thread or feel free to PM me. 9. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the death of your character. 10. Remember that although a chapter has ended, that doesn’t mean that the day has concluded, and night actions can be used. 10b. There are also chapter actions. Those of you with chapter actions have the ability to use them at the end of each chapter. 11. No Metagaming please. Also, don’t base suspicions on how the person looks. Rules may be added or deleted as the game goes on based on game play. 12. This is the 1950’s, the middle of the Cold War. You’re under constant worry of potential nuclear Armageddon, so act like it. The Communists are your enemies in this game, don’t forget that. Also, anytime historical facts from the 1950’s are brought in is a big plus. Remember that the rules are subject to change as the day progresses. I'm hoping to have everyone confirmed by the 22nd of November, so that we can start the game on the 26th of November, a Friday. It's after Thanksgiving and all the Black Friday sales are over, too. If you can no longer play, please let me know.
  11. Beautiful, Lightningtiger. I like the simplicity of some of your MOC's, they fit into the classic town theme. I also enjoy the interior you put together, it's very creative. Keep up the good work!
  12. Well, if no one else is going to sign up, I have my 18 members needed. Will a moderator/admin please lock this topic? I'll have the confirmation/discussion thread up most likely on Wednesday or Thursday. PMs will go out at around that time, too.
  13. This is ridiculous. All this arguing and bickering is just making the rest of you look bad. Focus, people. All you're doing at this point is throwing around the same evidence, just worded differently. Then, once you finished with that, you're just going for name-calling. None of this is helping us, you know.
  14. I'll keep this open for a few more days, and then I'll close the sign ups. I encourage people to still join, despite the fact that we've reached the 18 players mark.
  15. In the tiny town of Alabatha, Delaware, the Mayor of the town holds a meeting. "Thank you all for coming." he says. The townspeople look uneasy, they knew what this meeting was going to be about. It was the reason most of the town had packed up and left. "A few hours ago, I was informed by the governors office that our local Congressman, as well as a HUAC investigator will be coming to town to investigate allegations of communist spies." The townsfolk had displeased and unhappy looks on their faces. "The HUAC Investigator is coming to town to conduct investigations, and aid the police forces. They should arrive tomorrow." The townsfolk were pleased, at least this would be resolved quickly. "Look to your left." the mayor said. The townspeople did. "Look to your right." The mayor said. The townspeople did. "Odds are, you may have just stared at a commie." The townsfolk frowned, and dispersed to get some sleep. -------------------------------------------------------- It is the Year 1952. Although the Second World War against Germany and the other Axis Powers has been won, a new enemy in the world has risen. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, or the Soviet Union, has become a major threat to the United States of America, and her allies. In an effort to weed out the communist threat to America, the House Un-American Activities Committee, or HUAC, has launched countless trials against movie stars, politicians, and other various figures in the United States. Congressman Richard Nixon, or “The Red Hunter”, has become the so-called leader of HUAC. In the tiny town of Alabatha, Delaware, the newly created Central Intelligence Agency has tracked a tiny group of communist spies, and dispatched a HUAC Investigator, as well as the local congressman; to help the townsfolk and local police forces pick out the spy or, potentially, spies. However, this is a daunting task, as the spies from the Soviet Union are very good at their jobs, and will be quite difficult to capture. -------------------------------------------------------- I am looking for a total of 18 players. There may be more players added as the game progresses, so please, if you don't make it, don't feel discouraged. Rules: (Borrowed partly from Dragonator’s Mystery Manor) 1. There are 18 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. I am trusting you all not to drop out halfway through, as that is never any fun. 2. If you'd like to play, then please state past Mafia/Mystery involvements, as well as any knowledge you have with the Cold War and or the 1950's.
  16. That'll be my game, sign ups should be tomorrow, unless something comes up.
  17. Vote: Shaun Dows/ Shadows After listening to everything today, I have come to that conclusion. I am confident that it is correct.
  18. I look forward to seeing what you have to say. I'll also need to sift through all the evidence brought forward.
  19. Vote: Sandy/Sandy Quest If this is wrong, then I know my vote tomorrow.
  20. If what Stash says is true, then he'll have earned my trust, which is something hard to gain. It appears that the scum are trying to take out the police first, which is shown by how we've gone from six police officers in total to three currently. We must be cautious.
  21. The evidence is much better then the one against Erik King, which is why I: Vote:Frank White/Whitefang Let's hope we're right.
  22. I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. Everyone who said "Oh, he's stuttering, he's got to be scum!" What a lame pathetic excuse for a conviction. What's next, his hat is off at an angle, so therefore he's the mob boss? People, please. That was a useless baseless conviction that got us nowhere. I understand we had no one else to vote for, but if we didn't, then why vote at all? That just brought the scum one step closer to victory. Also, I'm beginning to think that Stash is not as truthful as he might portray himself to be. He asks the protector to protect him at night, as he has valuable intelligence to save the town. Rubbish, he's just trying to save his own skin so that he won't get killed or voted off. I'm thinking that he knows at most one scum, and he'll give him/her to us. Then, once we have his trust, he'll start throwing out fake names, and saying "I got rid of one of them for us, trust me on this one." He's either scum or neutral. He's already said he's "Neutral" but I can say I'm the President of the bloody Poultry Club, and none of you can say anything about it! He'll reveal it day-by-day, ha! That's just so the man can stay alive long enough to kill all those willing to believe him. If he was really honest, why not release it all in one day? So he can survive, that's why. He's nothing but trouble, and if I remember well, he had been voting for Eric King since Day One. Stash the Fashion Designer is nothing but trouble. I'm sure he'll most likely try and steer towards me being scum today, in an effort to save his own skin after I just told you all this. Remember, people. Anyone can make up anything without any proof. Remember that.
  23. Eurobricks Member: Bob the Construction Man Name of the Town: Stapleton Topic link: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=39528&st=0&p=701706&hl=Stapleton&fromsearch=1entry701706 I am the Governor/Mayor/King/Dictator of Stapleton I've been neglecting updating the topic with new pictures. I must do that soon.
  24. Why do you want him voted out so badly? What evidence do we have against him other than he's a cop and he stutters? Nothing has confirmed or denied his loyalty to the town. It's a bit odd that you're pushing for him to be killed so hard.
  25. You forget, there's only a limited amount of police officers in the city. In fact, any one of us could have snuck into the prison after hours. It's more likely that a police officer did break in, but any one of us could have broken in while the police slept or weren't paying attention.
