Excuse me for not babbling excessive nonsense, I've got nothing to say. I'm new here, I don't know much.
-
Judge Cain moves around piles of leaves and rocks, to look for something concealing a trapdoor. There's one area where Patrick is building a fallout shelter. James taps the stones, but there's nothing hidden underneath them. In the garden, there's a plethora of flowers. "It had a previous owner, but that was many years ago." "I don't believe there's a plan for the Jefferson House at the Town Hall, it's private property." There's been no renovations. Dolores cuts a loaf of bread, and serves water to the eager townspeople. Stevie shows the first sign of a serial killer as he kills a small bird. He then looks down the chimney, but there's nothing in there. He then tries to lead people to his bedroom.
-
The house doesn't have a garage or a basement. There's a small garden near the patio, and a few plants all around the house. Mayor Bradford also notes the outside dimensions of the first floor. "It's painted tan." Patrick reports Sorry! Their neighbors are the Jenkins. The house is about one minute away from the department store. Only a bike. Patrick sold his car when he moved back to Alabatha permanently. There's one main road in Alabatha, it's on that main road. There are a few trees and bushes, more in the back. Stevie defies death again by climbing onto the roof of his house. There's a chimney, and a few birds, but not much else.

Do we have any suspects? I heard someone voting for Cookie Custer, are we just blind voting? I'm not sure we have any suspects at this point, however, I don't want to feel the wraith of the good Doctor. I'm at a loss as to what we should do, this is all very confusing to me.

Welcome to the Jefferson House. "Feel free to look around." Patrick says.
-
Stevie climbs down from the roof. "Officer Fields and Harrison were, as well as Chief Phelps and Judge Cain. I was elected two years ago. Will was elected one year ago." Mayor Bradford says. "There were many people arrested all over Delaware for corruption charges, but none for communism charges. Only Mayor Freeston was arrested on corruption charges from Alabatha." the Congressman says. This is a list of previous mayors: Lance Freeston: 1930 - 1948 (Arrested for Corruption) James Swanson: 1948 - 1950 (Defeated by Ian Bradford) Ian Bradford: 1950 - Mayor Bradford is running for reelection this year, since it is 1952. "Out by the hills." Chief Phelps says. "We investigated, and the Fire Marshall determined arson as the cause of fire. We never did find out who started it." The group sets out for the Jefferson House, it's late in the afternoon.

This vote is more divided than...well...something that's divided. I should stop talking and go prepare lunch...

I never mentioned anything about a spotlight? "That was five years ago, it's impossible to know how busy it was. However, I checked the fire department logs, and there was a small fire near the outskirts on that day." Congressman Bob says. What spotlight?! James reaches the ground. "We're just waiting on Stevie." Inspector Liebenston says.

There wasn't anyone near the ladder. A few of the people on the ground put the ladder back up, so the others can get down. "The parapet stretches all around the roof of the building. It's about two feet tall." Patrick says. Will checks the billboard, but there's nothing hidden or wedged in there. He then foolishly jumps down from the trap-door onto the third floor. He hurts himself, as it's a twelve foot drop, but he recovers and heads down to the street. "Sorry for your loss." he says to Captain Harding. Not anymore. You weren't holding the ladder. She was going up too fast. Mayor Bradford holds the ladder for Dolores, Patrick, and James.
-
Jackie started to climb up the ladder. "I have an idea! I think I solved the whole thing! I know what happened!" She yelled. In her haste, the ladder wobbled, and fell backwards... ...Instantly killing Jackie Harding / Captain Becker! "Nooooo!" wailed her husband "Why can't I ever save anyone?!" Dr. Lloyd asked.
-
There's nothing leading down. Looking down, it's clear you're looking into the Third Floor of the Alabatha Department Store. "Hmmm, I think it was just before lunch." Dolores recalls. "Also, I think it was about ten minutes after the conversation she fell." "The police, as well as myself and Nurse Parker." Dr. Lloyd says. Patrick looks at what's under the skylight, it's the third floor. The billboard is an advertisement of the Department Store. There's nothing on the back. Patrick then looks at the rope. There's dried blood on there, and it's probably been there for a few years. It's not in good condition. Where is it that you'd like to go too next?

CorneliusMurdock: 2 brickzone: 2 twigman: 1 Very nice entries, everyone.

Stevie takes his hand off the ladder, and starts to climb up. A few others rush to support the ladder. James starts to climb up the ladder. He taps around for a trap door, and finds one leading into the top floor of the Department Store. The ladder is somewhat sturdy. Since it requires a few people to hold it up, it's not possible for all of you to climb up. Dolores climbs up the ladder to the roof too. Frankie remains on the ground. "Once again, everything that we know is in the police report. We don't know anything about the Fire Station, we never asked." Chief Phelps says. Will climbs up. Finally someone asks for a description, there's a large skylight in one corner, a billboard in another area, and rope.
-
Indeed it is open. Stevie, Gloria, and Will hold the ladder as Patrick ascends the ladder to the top of the Department Store.

Red Scare Mystery -Confirmation and Discussion

I've returned back after some hectic traveling. We're still on schedule, and we'll also have pictures now. -
They are right directly next to each other. There are also no reports of missing persons. "Sir, that murder was five years ago. Everything is in the police report." It is possible to jump between roofs. There's no other way off the roof. Gloria supports Stevie. Patrick fetches the ladder anyway just in case. "You're not superman." Patrick says. It is certainly possible for the ladder to reach the department store. You could always go through another way.
-
The fire department has roof access. Stevie starts climbing up. As he climbs onto the flag pole, it snaps due to his weight. He falls back down onto the ground, hurt. The ladder from the hotel is in the same place it was. James goes to talk to Mayor Bradford.
-
Here's a picture from earlier: There is no fire escape. Mayor Bradford strides into the Department Store, and reaches the third floor. There is no roof access from the third floor.
-
The townspeople once again journey to the Department Store. Now where would you like to go?

The Congressman's car pulled back into town as an aide approached him. He whispered something to the Congressman, and then stepped away. Bob ascended to the podium, the others formed behind him. "I've just received word that the National Guard has completed their quarantine of the area. For safety precautions, we're separated from the rest of the world." The Congressman's car left town again, as the people whispered to themselves nervously. "Where shall we go first?" Inspector Liebenston asks. -------------------- [Characters: Government Workers Ian Bradford (Mayor) played by Walter Kovacs Will Ackerson (Town Councilman) played by iamded Alan Cain (Judge) played by JCC1004 Ryan Phelps (Police Chief) played by JimButcher Tim Fields (Police Officer) played by CallMePie Louis Harrison (Police Officer) played by Brickme --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Working Class Dieter Schneider (Chef) played by Shadows Simon Lloyd (Doctor) played by Burman Patrick Jefferson (Lawyer) Played by Professor Flitwick James Falzone (Dock Worker) played by CorneliusMurdock Julie “Princess” Parker (Nurse) played by The Crazy One Alan Simmons (Farmer) played by Fugazi -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Dolores Jefferson (Housewife) played by Def Gloria Jefferson (Student) played by Admiral Ron Stevie Jefferson (Student) played by Legonater Ralph Jenkins (Retired Salesman) played by Cralegoboy Matt Liebenston (HUAC Investigator) Played by Dragonator ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Arrivals Ted Harding (Captain of the Lakota) Played by Capt.JohnPaul Jackie Harding (Ted's Wife) Played by Captain Becker Frankie Daly (Deckhand) Played by Captain Genero Deceased Valerie Jenkins (Housewife) played by Sok117 Rules: (Borrowed partly from Dragonator’s Mystery Manor) 1. There are 18 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. I am trusting you all not to drop out halfway through, as that is never any fun. 2. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalized statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. 3. This game is meant to be fun, so enjoy yourselves! 4. Please be patient with me between chapters, I will try to put up the chapter topics as quickly as possible, but, this might not be so all the time. 5. Please try to avoid editing your posts, as it can lead to suspicion against you. Just consider what you want to say before you say it, and you'll be fine. 6. Please remember that this is the early 1950’s. No iPods, digital cameras, cell phones, printers, computers, fax machines, or otherwise. No events past the current date either, or else people will view you as insane. 7. I won’t keep you in a certain room if you don’t want me too. You’ll always have the option of backtracking or researching the same place. 8. The host is usually always right. If you think I’ve made an error, then please discuss this in the discussion thread or feel free to PM me. 9. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the death of your character. 10. Remember that although a chapter has ended, that doesn’t mean that the day has concluded, and night actions can be used. 10b. There are also chapter actions. Those of you with chapter actions have the ability to use them at the end of each chapter. 11. No Metagaming please. Also, don’t base suspicions on how the person looks. Rules may be added or deleted as the game goes on based on game play. 12. This is the 1950’s, the middle of the Cold War. You’re under constant worry of potential nuclear Armageddon, so act like it. The Communists are your enemies in this game, don’t forget that. Also, anytime historical facts from the 1950’s are brought in is a big plus.

I've got good news and bad news. Bad news first; my flight back to JFK has been cancelled. Good news second; Chapter Six will be up early, tonight. I'll keep you all updated on the situation, but neither Rain nor Sleet nor Snow shall halt Red Scare Mystery! Also there will be pictures -

Hello. I am Nurse Pepper. You may refer to me as Nurse Pepper. -
I was doing so well, too. I was the undercover police officer, hoping to be recruited by a scum. Only Dragonator knew my role. I flew under the radar for much of the game, but I was tragically killed. There's not much else to say from my end, as I wasn't converted like I had hoped. It was a fun experience, I enjoyed it. Good job hosting!
