  1. The congressman puts a lock on the door, and leads everyone out of the Town Hall. He moves to make a speech. "Attention all." he starts. "I'm sorry to say that Valerie's death is going to have adverse effects on the town. Washington has urged me to get results, so tomorrow, the National Guard will be arriving into town to protect us from further damage." The crowd mumbles to itself. "Also, tomorrow, we will have our first vote. This vote will be a majority vote on who you think the spy is. When you convict this person, he will be arrested and investigated by the CIA." The townspeople looked around nervously. Chapter 5 is now closed. Chapter 6 will be up sometime soon. It is not night yet.
  2. There's no way you'd be able to determine if they were fake or not, but they're not fake. "Mayor Freeston was sentenced to two life sentences for corruption, racketeering, bribery, and a few other charges. He's currently in jail." Congressman Bob said. "I believe Betty from Accounting is in charge of the finances, but she left town." Mayor Bradford said. There are no windows on this floor.
  3. Mayor Bradford opens a cabinet drawer. There's a few gold bars, as well as a few layers of fifty dollar bills. They're covered in dust. Gloria uses her accounting class to help determine if the ledgers are correct or not. They are dated February 4th, 1930. The ledgers list the Town Beautification Budget, the Alabatha Police Department, and the personal finances of Lance Freeston, the former Mayor who was arrested for corruption. There appears to be a large sum of money going from the Beautification and Police Budget to Freeston's personal finances. There also is a huge sum of money, in the millions. The account has been blacked out using some form of a tape. It is impossible to remove the tape. Frankie ascends to the fourth floor. None of the walls are hollow, and Frankie joins Mayor Bradford at the drawers, marveling at the huge amounts of money. The floors are dusty, but there's no prints except for the ones made by those up there. Julie looks through the boxes, but they're only filled with old furniture. There isn't anything under the cushions.
  4. The fourth floor has a few boxes strewn about all over, and a ladder heading for the roof. There's some old pieces of furniture, as well as a couple of cabinets. Nearby on a table are some accounting ledgers. Since the fourth floor is tiny, only a handful of people can be up here at a time.
  5. Roof access is through the fourth floor. "Yes, we did." Officer Fields reminds the Chief. "Died in Korea, the poor guy." Stevie taps the walls, but he can't seem to find any hollow areas. Ralph knocks the walls, but he has the same results as Stevie.
  6. I'd like to play. 1) I suffer from Vacationaphobia, so no traveling for me. 2) Since you've been watching, I don't need to give my list of games. On another note, I'm hosting the game you're playing in. 3) I am insane. 4) 1) I see a Mars Mission robot. 2) I see my future. 3) I see my past. 4) I see my future again 5) I see my trip to Las Vegas...what a nightmare that was...
  7. The congressman's trash bin is empty, as are the shelves and the cabinets. There's nothing out of place or suspicious in any of the places mentioned. There are no bumps. James does a search of Bradford's office. On top of the desk are a few papers pertaining the celebration of the towns bicentennial. The trash can is empty. Looking in the desk, it's clear that the Mayor is loyal to the town The congressman's planner was found during Chapter One, and there isn't any mention of Project Wolf. Dr. Lloyd searches Mayor Bradford's drawers, but finds nothing which would incriminate him. The desk is mostly empty, too. The Mayor's trash bin is empty. Under the Mayor's desk, Gloria finds nothing.
  8. "I'm not at liberty to say so." the Congressman says. The handwriting is different. James then looks inside the drawers of the Congressman's desk, but it's empty. "Project Wolf is a highly classified Government program and I cannot speak about it." the Congressman says. Patrick looks around the courtroom. There's a few spectator seats in the back. On the right side of the room is the jury-seating. In the middle-back of the room, there's the judge and witness stands. In the center are the Defense and Prosecution tables. She was a housewife, and wasn't under government employment. She also did not take long trips to hidden labs. "Well, I was a Senator, so naturally I visited often. I haven't been back there in months, I decided not to run for re-election after Laura died." Patrick says.
  9. "It was outside the department store, they were yelling at each other loudly, and I didn't want to eavesdrop, as that'd be rude." Dolores says. James then looks inside the briefcase, but it's empty. He then tries to read the burnt note, but nothing is legible. He looks inside the folder, and finds two pieces of paper. One says: "Project Wolf is clearing out as ordered. Need more time." Chief Phelps inspects the paper, it's been recently burnt, probably this morning. The other piece of paper, which was in the folder, is indeed the containment plan for Alabatha.
  10. Attention Players! I'll be away from my Lego Collection from December 22nd to December 27th. ----------------------------- "What does that mean for us players? I'll still have access to my laptop, so the game will be proceeding normally without pictures. The only time you won't be receiving updates is Wednesday Evening, as I'll be traveling, but Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday you'll get steady updates. I return home on Monday, and a few hours after my return home I'll put up Chapter Six. No pictures! Lame! There's no real interior set for the Town Hall, so provided we remain there for the rest of the Chapter, we should be fine. "How will you photograph the next chapter?" This chapter will be over no later than the 24th, so I'll be able to photograph the next chapter when I return. "This is very irresponsible." Sorry! It's just come up that I need to be away, so I didn't plan this before hand. I guess that's okay, but will you still update the Chapter? I thought I answered this, but yes, I will be able to update the Chapter regularly. Perhaps not as much as I am doing now, for obvious reasons. Where are you going? To Florida, which is foolish as it's freezing there, but it's much warmer than New England, where I am now. Why are you going? I'm visiting a sick relative in the hospital, which is a terrible way to spend Christmas, but so long as there's family, it's Christmas. That's so sad! I feel terrible for calling you irresponsible. Apology accepted. ---------------------- I believe I've answered all questions you could possibly have, but if you have any others, don't hesitate to ask.
  11. "The argument wasn't with me, it was with another woman." Dolores says. "Who?" Captain Harding asks. James then enters the Congressman's office. There's a briefcase on a desk, next to a burnt piece of paper and a folder. Patrick enters the familiar courtroom. "Once again, I didn't have a fight with Laura. It was another woman." Dolores says.
  12. The townspeople travel upstairs. There's a hallway, and three doors. Two on the left side and one on the right side. The two on the left side are Mayor Bradford's Office and the Congressman's Office. The door on the right is the Courtroom. "Usually the office belonging the the Congressman is my chambers, but I've vacated them so he may use them." Judge Cain says. Hearing the name Ms. Clark, Dolores looks up. "My maiden name is Clark." Dolores says. "I remember the event so vaguely now."
  13. Ralph looks into a few boxes nearby the wall, but they're all empty. Mayor Bradford opens the file up. CASE FILE 033 Victim Name: Laura Jefferson Date of Death: 05/04/47 Date of Case Closure: 06/12/47 Ruled: Accidental Death Lead Inspector: Detective Jack Langry Detective Langry's Signature Supervising Chief: Chief Phelps' Signature Notes: -Victim fell off the Department Store Roof. How did she get up there? Why? -Husband Patrick Jefferson cleared, alibi places him at a Senate Meeting in D.C. Detective Notes: -I believe that it could be more than an accidental death, but there's no evidence to support this. Family seems to believe that it was accidental, except for Steven Jefferson, the son. Chief Phelps was urging me to get this solved, but he seems to believe that this was accidental too. Witnesses: -Ms. Clark, a new arrival to the town says she heard Mrs. Jefferson and another woman arguing about an affair. She says this was minutes before she saw Mrs. Jefferson's body plummet to the street. -Case Closed 06/12/47, due to lack of evidence and for closure to family. Mayor Bradford then suggests they search upstairs. For those who can't recall, the third floor is Mayor Bradford's office, the Courtroom, and the temporary office of Congressman Bob. James looks through the records boxes, and pulls out the files of Mayor Bradford, Will Ackerson, Judge Cain, Chief Phelps, Officer Fields, and Officer Harrison. He pokes around their files, but can't find anything suspicious or odd. Bradford, Ackerson, and Cain are all elected officials, Chief Phelps has worked as the Chief of Police for twenty years, and as an officer twenty years before that. Nurse Parker goes looking through a nearby trash bin, but can't find anything odd or out of place. All the cabinets, desk drawers, and other items in the room have been searched. Please check the Chapter Two topic.
  14. Chief Phelps journeys downstairs into the basement, and a few moments later, returns with the boxes from the jail cells. With help from others, he bring the boxes into the police squad room on the second floor. The others follow. Mayor Bradford then goes into the filing cabinet marked "Solved Cases". He pulls out the Jefferson Death case file. There are four typewriters in the Town Hall. One is in the records office, two in the police squad room, and one in Mayor Bradford's office. Eventually, all of them are brought into the squad room, and labeled one through four. 1) Records Room 2) Squad Room 3) Squad Room 4) Bradford's Office Mayor Bradford, James, and Gloria type "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." in both lowercase and uppercase. The typewriters are from Gordon Machinery, a company in Pennsylvania. Since the typewriters are all the same, they all type exactly the same. Which bin are you referring too?
  15. Dolores heads into Dieter's and uncorks a bottle of wine. She has a glass, and then returns. Officer Fields moves closer to the Mayor. The group moves into the Town Hall. They are now on the first floor. Where would you like to go?
  16. Chief Phelps picks the knife up for safekeeping. Congressman Bob helps Ralph walk away from his deceased wife, as her body is taken away by Dr. Lloyd and Nurse Parker. A moment later, they return after depositing her body at the hospital.
  17. You were watching the Mayor, not the area where the knife came from. No, you didn't see anything others didn't. "I'll be addressing that second part at the end of the day." Congressman Bob says.
  18. Patrick consoles Ralph. He then asks what those at the farm did. "Just stood around and waited, then we got nervous and came down here." Officer Harrison says. There's no distinguishing features on the knife. The knife came from the North, and Dieter's Grocery is in that direction. The wound on Mayor Bradford is not fatal. Officer Harrison then consoles Ralph. Mayor Bradford is pissed. Ralph Jenkins breaks down into tears, and he is also pissed. There's nothing distinguishing about the knife, and it came from the north. Nobody is standing over there now, and it's impossible to determine who was standing there when the knife was thrown.
  19. The crowd of townspeople stood outside the Town Hall, deciding on where to go. Suddenly, without provocation, a knife sailed through the air, and hit Mayor Ian Bradford / Walter Kovacs! "Agh!" he said, falling to the ground, but he was not dead, and the knife only clipped his side, it kept flying... Right into the stomach of Valerie Jenkins / Sok117 ! "She's dead." Doctor Lloyd said. Mayor Bradford got up, after being bandaged up by Nurse Parker. "Alright people, let's refer to the list from yesterday (Chapter One) to decide where to go next." Inspector Liebenston said, sometime later. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Characters: Government Workers Ian Bradford (Mayor) played by Walter Kovacs Will Ackerson (Town Councilman) played by iamded Alan Cain (Judge) played by JCC1004 Ryan Phelps (Police Chief) played by JimButcher Tim Fields (Police Officer) played by CallMePie Louis Harrison (Police Officer) played by Brickme --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Working Class Dieter Schneider (Chef) played by Shadows Simon Lloyd (Doctor) played by Burman Patrick Jefferson (Lawyer) Played by Professor Flitwick James Falzone (Dock Worker) played by CorneliusMurdock Julie “Princess” Parker (Nurse) played by The Crazy One Alan Simmons (Farmer) played by Fugazi -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Dolores Jefferson (Housewife) played by Def Gloria Jefferson (Student) played by Admiral Ron Stevie Jefferson (Student) played by Legonater Ralph Jenkins (Retired Salesman) played by Cralegoboy Matt Liebenston (HUAC Investigator) Played by Dragonator ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Arrivals Ted Harding (Captain of the Lakota) Played by Capt.JohnPaul Jackie Harding (Ted's Wife) Played by Captain Becker Frankie Daly (Deckhand) Played by Captain Genero ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deceased Valerie Jenkins (Housewife) played by Sok117 Reserves: -Mrlegoninja -Peanuts Rules: (Borrowed partly from Dragonator’s Mystery Manor) 1. There are 18 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. I am trusting you all not to drop out halfway through, as that is never any fun. 2. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalized statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. 3. This game is meant to be fun, so enjoy yourselves! 4. Please be patient with me between chapters, I will try to put up the chapter topics as quickly as possible, but, this might not be so all the time. 5. Please try to avoid editing your posts, as it can lead to suspicion against you. Just consider what you want to say before you say it, and you'll be fine. 6. Please remember that this is the early 1950’s. No iPods, digital cameras, cell phones, printers, computers, fax machines, or otherwise. No events past the current date either, or else people will view you as insane. 7. I won’t keep you in a certain room if you don’t want me too. You’ll always have the option of backtracking or researching the same place. 8. The host is usually always right. If you think I’ve made an error, then please discuss this in the discussion thread or feel free to PM me. 9. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the death of your character. 10. Remember that although a chapter has ended, that doesn’t mean that the day has concluded, and night actions can be used. 10b. There are also chapter actions. Those of you with chapter actions have the ability to use them at the end of each chapter. 11. No Metagaming please. Also, don’t base suspicions on how the person looks. Rules may be added or deleted as the game goes on based on game play. 12. This is the 1950’s, the middle of the Cold War. You’re under constant worry of potential nuclear Armageddon, so act like it. The Communists are your enemies in this game, don’t forget that. Also, anytime historical facts from the 1950’s are brought in is a big plus.
  20. No, we're not breaking for the holidays. The next chapter should be up either later today or early tomorrow.
  21. Stevie taps the cell walls, but they're all solid. The townspeople from the farm arrive with those who went into the tunnel. The Lakota is on fire! "Get the fire engine! It takes all the townspeople to lift the heavy fire car (Since the wheels are gone) out of the Fire Brigade and to the Lakota. Finally, they put out the fire. Captain Harding rushes aboard to survey the damage. "We lost some of the supplies, and the engine room was on fire. It'll take some time to fix, but I think I can get the ship in working order." Captain Harding says. "Alright people. Let's think about where we're going to go next." End Chapter Four, this topic may now be locked please! Also, please use this time to reread the previous chapters to catch up. Get in those Chapter Actions!
  22. The Armory Door is seal shut. The police case files would be located on in the Police Squad Room. City Records are in the Records Room on Floor One. However, you moved several boxes into the jail cell opposite of this one. Patrick ascends next, and searches inside the toilet. It hasn't been cleaned in a while, so the smell is revolting, but there's nothing interesting inside it. He then checks in and under the bed, but there's nothing there either. Finally, he fells the cell walls, but doesn't find anything out of place. "Shall we see what the explosion from earlier was?" Congressman Bob asks, ascending the ladder.
  23. Mayor Bradford climbs out of the tunnel, and pulls on the cell door. It opens easily, as if previously tampered with. The cell is lightly accommodated, with only a toilet and a bed. No, it is not. It was a hollow piece of wood created to look like the floor.
  24. "I don't have it on me, no." Captain Harding says. The police officers shine their flashlights at the top of the ladder. There's a gray-colored object covering the entrance. Farmer Simmons bravely climbs up the old ladder. Reaching the top, he pushes up with all of his strength. The gray object covering the entrance is knocked away, and Simmons climbs up into one of the Jail Cells. A car could definitely fit into the tunnel.
  25. You both will have some extra time to do so, as Chapter Four is going to end soon.
