or shop@home at home at a cheaper price.... Always wanted this set, and the new Jedi is great (even if she looks like a sith) if it was half the price it would have been about right Lego must hate us collectors
-
In the power miners titanium driller thing I got an extra blue rock monster that was bought in toys r us - guess if it's gonna go weird, that's the place
-
Having had a few hours to really drink this set in i feel i can comment First of all - best pirate-line ship? Better than even the BSB? Simply put - yes, if nothing else its twice the bricks!! Cant imagine any serious pirate collection without this - the jewel in the crown, and I now have all the pirate ships I will get a few gripes off my chest Captain's door's cant open more than 3/4 of the way....looks like Lego missed that design floor No crane - boo! No ladder to lower desk Blandest poop deck i can imagine - guess lego blew their brick budget absurdly large brig - are they expecting to round up an army just 4 cannons per side - c'mon, go for 5 lego just to give it that edge over the Schoonar! regardless, this is a 9.5/10 set and surely in the top 5 (3?) lego sets ever made
-
U expect it to be a big set but in real life it's even bigger - amazing
-
I'd like to say sorry to the ARC fighter it's so much better (and bigger) than the last - finally corrected the front section that always bothered me on the old one and the missiles actually work well to my surprise! Infact the 2010 jan wave is growing on me, even the expensive swamp speeder is good and improves on the 05 version guess 2010 maybe the year when u can't get much of an idea from a set untill I've held it - no matter how many reviews u have seen...

The most "wanted" LEGO Star Wars villain
TheBrickHitHouse replied to parchioso's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Shadow Guards - don't wanna mess with one of them... -
Much prefer the clone wars faces - ordinary faces are usually really bland anakin's face print is a mess but I think people have forgotten that's just one minifig out of many I really couldn't care less how Lego classifies the set - once it's been opened and built, who was to ever know what the box art said anyway - not keeping boxes on display!!
-
Would Lego have 2 at at walkers out at the same time? That isn't consistent with their track record An endor one would be a clever marketing trick though
-
So we're expecting an endor AT-AT, I'd be fine with that the fact Lego released Veers and a pilot now would certainly free up the set for different characters Are we sure it's not a dreaded mini or midi?

Talk to the Star Wars Moderators and Regulators
TheBrickHitHouse replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Seems the board has obtained a Lego 'insider' the 'insider' can be found on any forum u go to - full of vague answers, contradictions and the obligatory abysmal grammar seems to be a 'take it or leave it' approach at the moment - which seems to invite fantasists a genuine insider will be reluctant to 'prove' their credentials to joe public - so to keep the board free of the riff raff perhaps they could be 'signed off' by admins? They could then back up the sources honesty? That way people's time isn't wasted and the info we do get is so much more intresting just an idea ...oh i work for Lego too, in their 'product buying' department :) -
what on earth? We don't get minifigs because actresses get pregnant? I think you've played with one too many toys Lego hasn't made a new padame for the same reason they haven't made a single decent pod racer - because they can't be bothered. Controversy? Over a mini fig? Would that be the 'controversy' that hasn't accompanied all the murderous star wars characters, perhaps it's the controversy that's stopped Lego releasing the genocide producing Death Star? Let's keep this thread for real rumors please?
-
I call BS vehicle hasn't been in the show and Lego always releases stuff long after things have debuted and Lego don't release characters in multiple sets outside of Anakin and co. Bane isn't important enough to merit that
-
not a great set? U wot? Anyway - the bomb mechanism on the attack shuttle, drops and then reloads itself, amazing
-
The swamp speeder is another Lego pricing error - same as the green grocer and death star preorder (but in reverse) it's $30 and £30 - the website guys have forgotten to convert prices how it could be more than the landspeeder or echo base set, maybe Lego think the swamp speeder is a to die for set...
-
This theme is really weak previous aquatic lined have always had some appeal but Atlantis looks very uninspired, is this really all they could come up with?
-
£30 for the swamp speeder? It's 170 bricks! That's outrageous, how can it be MORE than the landspeeder with 5 figs?! I can buy the parts sep and the sticker sheet for less...

Romans or Greeks/Spartans
TheBrickHitHouse replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
A roman legion would be awesome - we'd get some awesome armour and parts -
Palpy's shuttle looks great...but I'm not sure why I think that it's the attack shuttle again - look at anakin's medical bed, it's pretty much the lightsaber holder from that shuttle. The attack shuttle was nice enough (being a new set, not a re-do) but now it in turn is being redone I'd love an actual interior worthy of the name people have said about palpy being grey? Surely that's right - he was Kentucky fried at that point in the film
-
So many great mini figs - but jan's SW line up is really weak I convinced myself it was more economical to get the snowtrooper battlepack then Veers and the new pilot sep from bricklink ...and then added the TIE Defender in too out of desperation I know the January line up is always weak and the highlights come later - but surely it's not just me that feels a bit disappointed?

LEGO Star Wars Expanded Universe Subtheme Thread
TheBrickHitHouse replied to Jar Jar's topic in LEGO Star Wars
How about a World Devestator? I'm thinking sandcrawler size - fill it with mini factories and production lines would be very different and done right would look great - though I fear it would need a solid 2000 bricks... -
Sloppiness When You Are Building
TheBrickHitHouse replied to legotrainfan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Still haven't worked out where one dark grey 1x2 brick goes on my Death Star despite 4 read through's of the instructions and actually rebuilding the entire top half... ...and there's a 1x6 brick my sandcrawler is missing... I'm very sloppy with building I fear I know some guys race through building as if they are afriad the set will be taken from them, I'm usually doing multiple things while building - watching tv, talking etc - guess I should pay more attention... -
I'll track down the pilots but £50 for a virtual carbon copy of a set I already have? I want the set - but can't justify that
-
Minor craft from a forgotten ep I'm really not sure what the appeal is of this set - hardly a stunning display piece nor is it blessed with playability I'm gonna raid bricklink for Talz though...
-
Wish the CTT wheels were even vaguely accurate. Far too thin - they are so distinctive on the film and tv version
