  1. They should be using the new Boba mold, boo!
  2. Oh they just add themselves to almost limitless dioramas and YouTube nonsense!
  3. Lego minifigs are just getting better and better, I can only imagine the incredible figs we'll get ...and a Black Pearl...and what about that massive navy ship,er the Dauntless? That would be great next to my Imperial Flagship
  4. Amazed more people don't own the other AT AT's. Got 4 in total and I'm toting with buying another of these This set is much smaller and seems to be half the weight of the 2003 AT AT. For playabilty this is the best AT AT yet - u can actually pick it up! Yey!
  5. Finally these sets are out - though many if us have had them since May Toys r us are charging an extra £10 for the AT-AT... Shop at home describtion of the turbo tank mentions a battle droid d'oh!
  6. would love to do a review of new AT AT (as I seem to be among the first to get it). Trouble is my camera is bust... Anyway, some thoughts It is small next to the other two, vs 4483 you are tempted to use words like midi scale.... It's interior is just...empty, so much space for MOCing. Back section could easily fit a speeder or Veer's office and the middle could fit two layers of troops This isn't a set Lego put their heart into! Have the back section open and the middle open all the way and u would have a much better set That said it looks very good from the outside but want to hear a horror story? The head attaches in the SAME way as the 4483! disaster! Get some glue or else! That said the head hasn't fallen off any of my AT AT's for a while, maybe I pushed those bricks together so hard they are now stuck... Overall, it's my 4th ATAT and it's the most easy to play with - 4483 just falls to bits after all! Fig selection adds nothing - just the battlepack again! If you have £100 go get it, otherwise I wouldn't worry about missing out. Ultimately £100 would get you one of the older ATAT's anyway... I'd give this an 8/10, it's a Lego ATAT after all and the construction techniques are clever ...and wasn't Tantive 4 £99.99 for 600 more bricks? Oh Lego...
  7. Just grabbed a £99.99 ATAT from a UK toys r us, yey!
  8. I'm disappointed in the new AT AT - but let's not go nuts it's a great set in it's own right - just not the 2000 brick, speederbike including, 2 pilot touting wonder we wanted I have the other AT AT's, it will be nice to actually pick this one up without the head falling off! I suppose this is the set i always expected
  9. It's huge! Very impresive. This is what Lego is all about - models u just look at and go 'damn, that's incredible' good price too £80 for 1200, compare that to the new turbo tank... Only gripe (other than those damn stickers!) is the cockpit. U can fit 2 guys in there but it's messy...
  10. Oh this is just absurd did they just keep going till they designed something no one could actually display? Less concerned about the price than the room I'd need to leave aside to store it in. Is it actually practical to even lift this thing? Well done Lego, you've made a set for only the people in this thread...
  11. So this is £260 but the at-at is £90? Lol THREE AT AT's or this? Hmm, same number of bricks but 19 extra minifigs and enough imperial tech for one hell if a diorama! Got 3 at at's already, I do love em. New one where the head doesn't fall off = score!
  12. Whoa! Gotta work on those wheels, much too small!
  13. Without an interior...hmm, for some reason that really diminishes it 2500 bricks and £260 and it wasn't possible to have size, accuracy abd playability? Feel like I'm just paying for an expensive airfix kit...
  14. Wish we could find out if this is UCS or not I have no use for UCS...
  15. People love the midi falcon despite it's lack of any features, figs, interesting bricks or accuracy... ...but you don't love the midi destroyer though it's as inacurate and lacking as the falcon?! What is it about these paperweights you like anyway? Lego designed a set that wouldn't please system fans or UCS fans. Hmm
  16. Shuttles dorsal fin looks disproportionate? Is this UCS I wonder? If not, imagine the interior...
  17. When I built the death star I had a 1x2 dark grey brick left over but was missing the same piece in light grey - read through the manual 4 times to find it and even rebuilt the top third, to this day I have no idea where I must have gone wrong...
  18. People are so critical of this set (though once again it's the guys and girls too poor to buy it that moan - connection?) the interior is packed, you're looking at it with everything removed - of course it would look empty. True the axels are a mess, but just double them up - add an extra beam. Take it from someone that owns the set, the axels only look bad at certain angles, side on it looks great. This thing has swats for 4 pilots and they actually get controls (how rare for Lego...)
  19. It's a tad annoying that the commandos have clone heads but it's better than having no faces at all, I'm glad TLG have been doing that less. I'd have liked the captain to have a distinctive face but just glad to be getting one at all, can always customise anyway
  20. Quite like that. Would have liked a more show accurate helmet for the senate captain but it's not a bad start looks like plenty of seats in the speeder, one more new minifig wouldn't have hurt though, esp at this price overall pleasantly pleased
  21. With amazon no longer selling these sets I'm glad u got in early. With the exception of the dreadful medical droid in the Greivous set the new figs are superb.
  22. UCS sets are pointless - make a system Shuttle and sell millions or some daft UCS set that only 100 people worldwide will buy anyway. The UCS falcon was the size of a dining table - where on earth does such a thing go? If people want incredible accurate sculptures your local model shop can help you out - just remember the glue.
  23. Got mine today turbo tank is so much better in person and complaints about the interior will end once you've seen the set itself
  24. The quality of minifigs is just rocketting - compare figs to the sort we got 15 years+ ago all themes have seen such an improvement, there are no so many distinct designs Just wish we'd get printed legs as standard - imagine the new Bobo with printed leggs... Fav fig has to be Vader, iconic - but there are so many I adore
  25. If it's UCS it's an odd number of minifigs and even stranger minifug selection - do we have Vader sitting in the cockpit?!
