I'm finding I'm loving this set, when I did just get it for the figs. Has a really interesting look and there isn't much about the set I can take issue with
-
Wow, they increased the price by 23%, VAT and then some It is a beautiful set, great detailing
-
U want more obi wan's? U have already had one this year, how many do u need - I got three already and countless anakins.. A new anakin and asohka would be ideal
-
These minis are pretty pointless - I'm not sure why anyone would want them...

Review: 7915 Imperial V-wing Starfighter
TheBrickHitHouse replied to starstreak's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Not sure how Lego can charge twice what the first v wing cost... Love the figs but this is a pretty average set really -
Review: 7913 Clone Trooper Battle Pack
TheBrickHitHouse replied to Stegoceras's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Would not have given a monkeys about this set - weird clone types after all - but, printed legs means these become must buys. I feel the commanders deco makes him a suitable urban commando - plan on getting scores of then, and bomb squad too. Think my army is about 500 troopers strong now! -
Lol, review already up It's a nice set, got it myself - not as bland as claimed Back on the magnet topic - I'm strangely for this I buy the sets when they come out - and it's a slap in the face to see those same minifigs in a £10 pack a few months later when I paid £50+ for them Besides, they were rubbish Chinese plastic - just contaminates bricklink, you don't know what you're getting
-
Was the rumour about the magnet sets being glued ever confirmed?
-
We've previously had confirmation Lego's mark up on each set is 4-5 times their costs The parts cost Lego tiny amounts - a printed minifig will cost many times more than a battle droid - but we're still talking cents/pence. If you think a minifig costs Lego even a dollar to make your being generous ...that said, Lego is still cheap, £230 for the entire jan wave, £600 for the year - cheap as hobbies go. It's just expensive relative to what it is. If Lego keep giving me these astounding minifigs (shaak ti!) I'll keep buying!
-
The new sith infilitrator is clearly better - bigger, more mini figs...but, this couldn't ever be a classic set, ultimately what play features is it likely to have? The figs are a must have, imagine I'd buy the set but eBay the ship
-
Couldn't find mace's fighter on the UK site, rats!

2011 - the best year for star wars minifigs. To think once we got those bland designs and a tiny selection of characters - now we get amazing figs in every set That said, what on earth has gone on with the sets this year? Genosis starfighter - basically Dooku's ship again. Another ewokI catapult (we got one last year), the sith infiltrator again and a recoloured republic cruiser. Even the falcon looks like the 2004 version Once we got great sets and lousy minifigs...we've done a 180.

Frigate looks midi scale to me.
-
Printed legs...so sweet Maybe Lego will start to use them consistently as they do with other themes, they make such a difference
-
Some people would prefer the astromech removed to reduce cost? Some of u must be bankrupt if a 50cent difference matters Try getting a job! I think the v wing looks good, it's a 3/5 set for sure but the minifigs are great Last one cost £9.99 - bet it's twice that now...

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
TheBrickHitHouse replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Series 3 was poor (space alien thing?) guess Lego realised and came back with a truly super wave No matter the idea u have in mind - all the figs you'll need are there! -
Where do u get those toys r us vouchers?
-
People are unhappy the v wing pilot has a new helmet?! Baffling... I'm thrilled we have another new minifig
-
Looks like a 2 man cockpit for the shuttle. The bounty hunter ship looks okay but I hope it's got some nice play features otherwise it's just a weird looking starfighter
-
If it wasnt for star wars I wouldn't be buying many sets Lego used to have great new themes...now, unless it's a movie tie in the sets are shoddy at best Look at Atlantis and the new castle theme - hardly stack up against what's come before. Space police III consisted of only one great set Seems all the effort goes into only the most lucrative themes - that's good business, but a bit uninspired creatively
-
People want bland old style figs? People actually dislike beautifully designed figs? There are people on this board that actually prefer the 1999 'all sets are half blue bricks' sets to the masterpieces we get now. This board is full of odd characters... Anyway, summer wave is either going to be amazing (maleavelence) or really dull (republic cruiser - whatever that is)
-
Even those of us with the old falcon must be looking forward to a new one Shocking that Lego have lost 6 years in making a new one - such a key set needs a rerelease every 2-3 years or just keep it in continuous production like the x wing I want a ROTJ gold 5 version - looks like the new one would be 1100 bricks if the price being tossed about is correct. C'mon Lego - give us a 2,000 brick masterpiece, I'd hate to think we'd get a 'budget' version like this years AT AT. We live in such a strange world - Lego charge £100 for weird clone wars sets no one's heard of but the one set people would happily pay a fortune for will get the cash in release...
-
Oh isn't it awful that we get a constant stream of new star wars sets... Who cares if the CW show is rubbish - does that make a vehicle designed for it a worse design? No one forces u to buy this stuff and most of you aren't 18 anyway and shouldn't even be here to complain! Pick and chose the sets u like - if only 1 in 10 meets ur fancy, well - that's one more than u would have got if the line was stopped Crying away that u only by OT sets, oh what a purist. Can't wait to see your faces when someone finally reveals to you these are children's toys! Me, I love a great design. I have no idea what a bomb squad trooper is or who Luminara is, I haven't seen a CW ep in 12 months - but a good design, a cool looking craft, I'll buy it even if its an affront to continuity!
-
So the frigate just vanishes from the line up? ...to say I'm suspicious when even the people 'revealing' this stuff change their minds would be an understatement!

Which is your favourite upcoming Lego minifigure in 2011?
TheBrickHitHouse replied to commanderneyo's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Shaak Ti, think we're quite lucky to even he getting the fig at all
