  1. Lol - I have more than £1000 just in Star Wars minifigs Total SW collections value - £4000 Spent on Lego in the last 10 years - £10,000
  2. It went without saying the Venator would have an escape pod somehow....
  3. I see it - 20 days sooner, alrighty!!!
  4. Gotta say the Clone Wars minifigs are excellent The standard OT faces are often very boring - I find the cartoony look works, not sure why Just compare the old and new Count Dooku minifigs - the new one is so much more distinctive
  5. Just crossed my mind Medieval Market Village - 10193
  6. ...best CW set, hmmm.....I'm gonna say yes, because its a set none of us ever expected, we hoped for it, we MOC'd it, we put it on wish lists but we never expected it ..after all, the gunship is seen for about 15 seconds, and the walker for not even that much - only die hard fans like us even noticed... ...but it left an impression! It really should have had the full 16 clone troopers, and a jedi would haven't bankrupted TLC - c'mon, for £166 they could have gone that extra mile ...but the fact it can pick up the AT-TE....i'm sold!
  7. Very impresive looking sets ...there is a element of the Life on Mars sets in them, but thankfully - less <insert that tiresome argument>, if anything they use the larger bricks rather well Love the variety of the bad guys - some great new mini figs that will work well with star wars too Love the muscle cars of the bad guys!
  8. Its a bit like comparing red with blue They are two very different sets ..and they are both great I got 2 of each
  9. Wow - we are getting the walker so soon I think we all expected a 5 month wait - i dont think I could have waited that long!! To get such a great set - and then to get it so soon - wow, it would have been torture counting down the days! But £166 ...its 100 bricks more than the Sandcrawler but £50 more???? ..the Sandcrawler was £105 right - thats what I paid.... ..and the Death Star is just £100 more..for 2000 more bricks!!! This set is the biggest rip off ever! ...but I'd have paid £300 for it! I will get 2 - no matter the price! I just love this set, to hell with the cost!
  10. The best of the early (i.e terrible) Star Wars sets Lego clearly rushed the designs and did not use their standard master builders - I'm not sure who they did use..... Its a rubbish set - but untill we got the new AAT you just had to accept it I owned 5 of these sets and every day dreamed about a GOOD AAT being released ...and its happened Compare this to the new AAT and further words arent required Its the difference between a set i'd make and a set a master builder would make....
  11. Dont be so daft as to claim a $250 set could be settled on the inclusion of a single minifig ...and you've seen the box art and you know the set is released in 2 weeks - clearly there is no jedi fig - why even imagine otherwise?
  12. Oh my god Seriously oh my god The walker and drop ship is the set of my dreams I have wanted a drop ship for the AT-TE since AOTC came out - to get the walker as well...wow I am just blown away at 1700 bricks - thats prob £150 worth of set - and i'm getting two! This might just be my fav set ever! ..also the Venator looks so much better than the pre lim pics 2009 has gone from an average year for Lego to the most exciting yet!
  13. Falcon - boring. What are we supposed to do with it? Give us a remake of the 4504 - Lando, Nien Numb, rebel pilot. Done Pirate tank - i'll get it, average, but has its charm
  14. What do people think about this ''smaller sets - more mini figs'' theory? Worrying? Lego cutting costs? For me it is worrying. I like the big sets - they are invariably packed with features and beautifully designed I see the mini fig as the counter-part to a great set - not a substitute for a great set, or the reason to buy A small set doesnt display as well, doesnt have that ''significance'' that an AT-AT does for example I'd hate to think we have missed out on a Mon Calamari Star Cruiser or a stunning Venator because of the credit crunch
  15. Would that sum up 2009's Star Wars line up to date overall? Great mini figs, weak sets The Mon Calamari set - 6 new figures, is anyone buying it for the set itself? The Endor Bunker - just how much would you pay for that set...without the mini figures? The Hoth 'base' - is this nothing more than a battle pack anyway? Sepratist shuttle - 'nuff said I'm loving all the new figures - but if they were all for sale on bricklink, would you actually be buying many of the sets themselves? Is this a new strategy for Lego - cutting costs with smaller sets and compensating with new figures? Thoughts?
  16. The disinctive engine section has been shortend - thats a shame, not shaping up to be much of a set really
  17. What a rubbish ''set''! I love the mini figs so i'll buy it but - there aint even enough of a ''set'' to display!
  18. Cancelled.... In the UK it never started Batman sets were never available at major chains - where they? Why didnt anyone stock it?
  19. Well off the top of my head - seeing as this is a CHILDS toy um...playability?
  20. Without some sort of cockpit the snail droid will be a pretty pointless set ...remember the old Halifire droid?
  21. Why the hell does it matter? At worst u can just buy the symbol off bricklink and stick it on the set.
  22. The license will continue untill Lego gets outbid by a rival or Lego decides its not profitable I imagine we will see sets for many years to come It works great for Lego, it works great for Lucas and it works great for the fans
  23. didnt the sepratist shuttle have a rear access ramp in earlier pictures - doesnt seem to be much sign of it now
  24. Lego even added blue to the old AT-AT...bizarre ...and the blue at the back of the old AAT was just dreadful
  25. The shuttle has 5 mini figs - yey
