Need that snowspeeder - rest will be off to eBay

Heavy Assault Vehicle/wheeled A6 Juggernaut
TheBrickHitHouse replied to jansued's topic in LEGO Star Wars
From comparison pics the set seems very accurate - but the whole wheel arrangement bothers me ...and is the set somewhat bland? Dunno, somethings amiss but can't out my finger on it -
Is it possible they will unveil the summer wave? The email does feature pics of the new minifigs...
-
because the set doesn't feature one...
-
Seems a good price for an at at - then u remember the lower number of bricks wonder why bane's speeder wasn't released with the rest of the summer line...

I just received the new 2010 sets from Amazon.fr
TheBrickHitHouse replied to willybob's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Could u do a shot of the tank side on - the set looks ultra accurate, except the spindly axels, wanted to see whether that's just a product of top down views -
I'm in the uk - can I order via amazon.fr? Don't these prices seem unusually high - juggernaught is £112?

The medical droid in the grevious set is awful.. ...but the rest of the set is amazing, plenty of play features and an amazing GG, sure it's a bit more cartoony than I'd have liked but look at the old one!

Review - 8096 Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle
TheBrickHitHouse replied to OneSnowTrooper's topic in LEGO Star Wars
There isn't even room inside for the droid or palpatine... I will buy this set - but that's the OCD talking. This is really poor - the attack shuttle from last year but even worse... -
Review - 8096 Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle
TheBrickHitHouse replied to OneSnowTrooper's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hmm, not much of an interior... Great figs though -
2500 bricks for the shuttle? That's UCS not system - no way u could have a minifig set that big for just a shuttle! Cad Bane's speeder at £44.99 for a 350 brick set is the most horrifying thing I've heard in the world of Lego in some time...

Review - the minifigs from 8097 Slave 1
TheBrickHitHouse replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Such detail - why not just print the legs?!?! Bossk looks a bit cartoony but I'm just grateful we're getting one definetly getting this set -
The most signif criticism I have of the 4483 walker is the non-bley colour scheme and the bizarre use of yellow and blue! I think everyone is far too hard on the new walker, I have multiples of the first 2 - sure it's not as good as we'd hoped but it's more accurate than the motorised and more sturdy than the original. I'll take this over some daft midi set or impractical UCS it's going to be a great set to build and display, isn't this just another case of people bashing a set because they can't afford it? Seriously, how limited are your funds - this is a childs toy not a childs college education!!!
-
Hmm, I think it's a fine set - but for those of us that have the previous AT-AT's it's a hard sell it's just the motorised one - without the motor I'll get it - but as I hand over that cash i'll know I'm getting this because it's better than no at-at, but that's not the reason I'd hoped for interior, larger cockpit, small army of troops, damnit didn't even get an endor version!
-
What mini figs!! They can go straight in so many other themes too - a new benchmark for design!
-
Perhaps Lego could have been a bit more adentureous, the CTT and Slave 1 are the nest versions yet, but no you can't get too excited over 'tweaks'
-
That AT AT is sounding awful less bricks? Let's face it - both existing models needed more I was really looking forward to this set...
-
All the new sets look good, Grevious's fighter is such an improvement on the last version
-
Regardless, greivous is much improved, thank god!
-
Grievous only looks weird because he's in his 4 armed attack mode - but without lightsaber. By default he'll just have 2 arms and then he'll look fine
-
The new AT TE didn't look amazing till I actually owned one - I'm sure I'll love the CTT when I get it it's an improvement but not very ambitious - look out tower? The missiles? 2 clones? The interior gives modding ops and is better than before but was it so much to ask for seats? An engine? Armoury? The spindly axles aren't great either atleast the new figs are great
-
Ah, finished versions! I'll be getting them all, though this would appear to be the most expensive summer wave yet! I do have a few issues still with the CTT, I'm nit sure to what extent it's just different from the first as opposed to better. Sure the wheels are better (but still not accurate) but the interior is empty, and we aren't getting the side missile launchers either or the viewing pod...
-
Half these sets and figures are barely prelim can't really judge how the finished articles will look CTT looks dreadful - but it is missing about...well, it's taken a few hits from the droid army! Hope that interior gets decorated - it doesn't seem to feature much new, but like I said it's not even fully built Ultimately these are all 'big' significant sets and should be great - I wanna see those final versions
-
I want a Lego set of everything! Do people really want Lego just to do key vehicles and thus just have 200 version of the X wing? I want an Outrider!
-
Turbo tank looks huge! Looks like they doubled up the thickness of the wheels as for the whole 'bane's oversized', didn't the at at pilot work out?
