  1. Thanks for the suggestions. The main feature I want is how each buildind on the perimeter wil not be completed and go off the board, so to speak. So, if I do this, it is easy to see inside without lifting off a roof. The keep is something I want to add either a great hall or throne room in, so that would take up a majority of the space.
  2. Hello everyone who is seeing this post. I am planning a MOC build of a castle and need some ideas as to what parts of the castle to build. The dimensions are 60x60, but I am wanting to split it up into quadrants of 30x30; building one section, and attaching it to the next and so forth. I don't wnat to build a complete castle with outer walls, but I do want to add a keep. Any ideas on what buildings or structure on this? Thanks
  3. May I ask how you bult those roofs on the four red towers? I am searching for a technique for building roofs like those.
  4. I wouldn't mind having one big pirate ship the size of the Imperial Flagship. There hasn't been a pirate ship that big. Also, if there is an entire theme for pirates instead of just the ship, I think a lot more land sets would be nice, such as a hideout, trading post etc.
  5. I have been busy with College finals these past few weeks, so I am lost on where/what I am supposed to be doing.
  6. I think it would be great if they made either another ship that is similar to the Imperial Flagship or a Pirate ship that has the quality that the Imperial Flagship had.
  7. This is so fascninating. I am so happy to hear that some sort of Pirate set/theme is returning. There needs to be a Pirate like theme once in awhile.
  8. I have been really busy these past few weeks, but I am trying to sort out a day that I can get back to making some MOCs for Mitgardia.
  9. They look awesome, but I would much rather have them with light flesh skin than yellow.
  10. I am building a Medieval farm MOC for my Historica guild and I am building a stream next to it and building a bridge over the stream. The dimensions for the bridge is roughly a 12x8. My plan is to make it wooden, so brown in color. I have come up with a few ideas, but just wondering if anyone here has any good ones. Thanks
  11. My ONE minifigure would be a gondor soldie 1. Gondor Soldier 2. Witch King 3. Faramir 4.Mumakil
  12. If I had to pick one set, I would pick Minis Tirith. Lego has to make a Gondor soldier. If I could say 3 I would say Minis Tirith, Pelenor Fields(with the mumakil), and a Osgiliath (with Faramir).
  13. I think Lego should come up with a whole new theme instead of having a return of another. Something fresh and totally different than the current theme, which is horrible. I liked Kingdoms and the Fantasy Era themes, but I am getting tired of the same old lion or crown heraldry and the blue or red colors of the kingdoms and the opposing force being "evil". They should make it like the classic sets and have to neutral kingdoms. My idea was maybe a bear or wolf as the heraldic symbol. The return of the falcon knights would be cool also, but in new way of course. I agree with most of you above that they should make more civilian type sets, such as a church, village, farm, etc.
  14. I dislike the new castle theme anyway, but I think it was a bad decision for Lego to come out with essentially 3 waves of castle type themes. (Hobbit, Castle, and lotr) I think this castle theme was a failure and was never meant to be a really prosperous theme. I think that lego will be doing a 3rd wave of Lotr and then after that they will make a new castle theme and hopefully they change it up a bit instead of making the same olf prison carriage, dragon fortress, catapult attack etc.
  15. I almost think there should be whole new topic of the same topic, these pages are getting too long to organize certain threads.
  16. I'm pretty sure everyone in this topic knows what they are talking about. Maybe we don't explain everything 100% in full detail, but that doesn't mean you have to jump on whatever we say and criticize it. And we all understand that Lego is a business, this thread is base on what we think will be the future of Lego LOTR. I am also sure that Lego had big plans for wave 3 of lotr. Why would they put out the sets they did in wave 2 and not give a hint of a Gondor type wave? Probably because they were planning on finishing it off with a bang and they got sidetracked or halted for an unknown reason.
  17. I agree with you, Lego does seem to be teasing us. look at the wave 2 sets such as Pirate ship, Black gate, Wizard battle. I would trade all of those to get one or 2 good Gondor sets. The pirate ships scene is in like 1 minute of the movie anyway, when Gondor is in there for like 2 hrs. The Wizard battle is redundant since you get that in the Tower of Orthanc. The black gate was nice, with the mouth of Sauron and all, but it was just so small and a worthless build. Gondor I think would be a better investment for Lego than these for AFOLS and for kids. It would seem like a kid would want a shiny armored gondor soldier more than another gandalf or another orc.
  18. I like the Brickshow, to an extent.
  19. I actually enjoy the Brickshow reviews. Granted, they are not perfect, but they are the best people on youtube that do reviews. Brickqueen is too boring when she reviews. Jason especially is the better reviewer, Stephen is more boring to watch because he almost sounds like he is forcing it. But Jason is good at reviewing them because he keeps it interesting, sometimes they can be cheesy, but not so much as to make me not want to watch them anymore. I don't see why anyone would "hate" their reviews, I mean, what is so "hateful" in what they review? I agree with some of the previous comments such as they could be more critical about the sets, although they do critique sometimes. And of course their target is young children because Lego sales are mostly young children, but it's pretty obvious sometimes to tell that they aren't "only" talking to young children. They are AFOLs as well as most of us (or all) and they probably think about some Lego things the same way we do. So in short I wouldn't say people "Hate" them, they probably want a better quality review and aren't watching it for "entertainment" at the same time. One more thing, Their logo is horrible...
  20. He could've meant Dain since Dain is the Dwarf that aids the other dwarfs in the Battle of the Five Armies.
  21. I just hope we get Gondor soldiers, Eowyn, Galadriel, and Faramir. I'm not too concerned about getting a Denethor. Balrog would be cool too, which I think they would do although the Mines of Moria set is already one set that is relatively in the same area. I don't think they will make a Treebeard set. If they did it would probably be a $20 with Merry and Pippin. Osgiliath and Minis Tirith is what I'm hoping for the most. Personally, I would rather want a Olephant than Balrog. I don't think Lego will quit LOTR until they make a Gondor soldier, Eowyn, Faramir, and Galadriel. They are all too often mentioned and seen in the movies and books.
