  1. I can't really share in the complaints since LEGO first and foremost is toys aimed at children for most of the time. Kids deserve good toys, i.e. LEGO, and since they would probably like to have knights, castles and dragons this is good for them. As a kid I really loved the Fright Knights, the Royal Knights and Knights Kingdom, so every once in a while there will be kids' themes too :)
  2. Oh now I see, wyn as in the wynn/wunjo rune... Well it doesn't relate much to LEGO but it was interesting for me at least :)
  3. Yes! A funny thing with Éowyn is that I suspect that her name MIGHT mean 'Horse Lady'... Since 'eoh' was an old English word for 'horse' and 'wyn' looks like it could be a dialectal form of the element '-wen' from Morwen and Arwen, which means 'lady' or 'woman'...
  4. I'd vote for Meduseld! It'd be nice with Éowyn in dress in one set and Éowyn in arms in another set :)
  5. Maybe they can't make a Bad Guys' Castle because parents wouldn't want to buy toys that would turn their children into villains? xD
  6. The Gondor armour will be sweet :D Not very excited about the eagle though... Sure they're nice fellows and one would need a bird of Manwë for some parts of the sagas, but I'd not grieve if I didn't get one :/ I still want Éowyn more than anything else </3 Hope she'll be cheap because both me and my elder brother will have to get one each xD
  7. It couldn't possibly be Faramir because by then he was in the House of Healing falling in love with the beautiful Éowyn :)
  8. yeah :/ I think it's bad we don't get Éowyn already. She and Boromir are the coolest
  9. Wouldn't it make more sense if the other short fig in Rivendell were old Bilbo? :) Since Gimli is so boring already and was in two sets in last wave it would be boring with two new Gimli sets :(
  10. If we had as great prices as the Americans, I could by two of each set instead of maybe buying one xD almost... :) This set looks good... But I'm nog sure if I'll get it. I'm thinking of getting an MMV instead :) The whole set is however fantastic, especially the figs (like all LotR figs)
  11. It's mostly just a rearrangement of 2 sets of LEGO Lord of the Rings's 'Helm's Deep' :)
  12. I've never seen a polybag in my entire life (except the uruk-hai and Frodo for extremely high prices on the Internet). I guess they don't come to Sweden... :/ I would really like at least one of the Mirkwood Elf :(
  13. Thanks for the good response :D Good thinking, although I don't really understand what the tower would look like. But I had some thoughts about a tower in some way... But I really like the round thing. The other option would be to extend the walls, making more room, I guess. But that I don't have bricks for :( The good thing with not having a tower is, however, that it looks pre-medieval. Antique even :D Like some kind of Iron Age fortification ^^ I just looked into Iron Age hill forts, and well... They were often round and situated upon hills. And I guess then that this would be a hill fort xD
  14. Hail to thee, fellow LEGO-fan! This Month my Brother and I started buying LotR LEGO. When it first came out, we weren't that impressed by it... Then when we first decided to buy some Sets (Moria, Uruk-Hai Army, Gandalf Arrives), our Opinion had changed and we thought all of the Sets to be really nice. So we've picked up all Sets from the LotR Series except Shelob and the Polybags. When we got our Hands on Helm's Deep, I was astounded over how many good Bricks there were in that Set. So I kept Watch on tradera.com (a Swedish Auction Site similar to eBay) for another Helm's Deep. And at last I got one, about 20 per cent cheaper than in the cheapest Stores. I had decided to do a MOC out of Helm's Deep. The overall Structure of the Hornburg is still there, but yeah... Ye will get to see for yourselves. This is what I made from 2 Helm's Deep and 1 Uruk-Hai Army: View from above: Side: Elfin Archers: The Back: View from the beleaguered Castle: Cavalry Charge: Another Picture: This is the first Time I upload anything I've built, and as ye all can see, it's not very original. But it looketh good, I think for myself. :) I took the Pictures with my Phone and I'm not a good Photographer so if the Pictures are Crap, let me know xD Maybe I should have taken more Photos of the round Structure in the Middle. It has a Door, and is made of two of those Things from the Helm's Deep Set (the Door being the only new Thing to it).
  15. I'd be really disappointed if corsair ship would be flagship, although I could keep that money then xD I never liked the corsairs :( The characters I'd like the most would be Éowyn (she MUST be made into Lego), Faramir (so Boromir can meet his brother, and for Éowyn to marry), Gondor soldiers, Boromir in Gondor armour, Aragorn as King, Witchking of Angmar... I think we won't get Minas Tirith (as a whole) ever :/ It's just too big to scale down... Osgiliath would be a dream come true, but I would liever have it with Boromir and Faramir than with Faramir, Frodo &c. I wonder which it would be if it were made. Should they make a Minas Tirith set it would probably include the White Tree and courtyard and p'raps Gandalf the White (haha white-elf the white... [Gandálfr in Old Norse means White/Light Elf])... and maybe Pippin, Gondor soldier... or so.
  16. Haha, this thread went all funny <3 I just decided to buy one MMV after Yule, and maybe my brother will get himself a Kingdom's Joust so we can start building a little hamlet or a village or so :) Today I got my/our second Helm's Deep and made a pretty nice MOC of them. Maybe I'll make a thread with some pictures :)
  17. Haha xD Thanks for the tip! I have to find a woman who also likes lego :) But they seem to be pretty rare :/
  18. Man... Now I want to buy it too :S They have some left here in Sweden for a pretty decent price considering the amount of bricks. But I'm not quite sure if I would like to assemble the parts according to the manual, since I don't quite like the blue building... And it's starting to look like a really old building now since we've got the brick-bricks xD But since I'm not really a good builder, like all people here seem to be (mostly because of lack of bricks, I assume... I couldn't even replicate a tenth of any MOC I've seen here because I just don't have the bricks xD), I probably couldn't build something cool with it anyways. And since I live at home and have no job (studying at the uni), it's dangerous and expensive buying lego... One has to smuggle it inside to avoid parents' rage xD I just got a second Helm's Deep though, for the bricks, but I'm still waiting for it... I want it before the Yule-Eve. ;__;
  19. Nice one! The roof is really great :) God jul från Göteborg! :)
  20. This looks really exciting ^^
  21. Haha, I always have to pee at least one time during a movie, it sucked at Pirates of the Caribbean 4 when I had to rush out in the middle of the final battle because I couldn't hold out any more xD They should seriously have a break in the middle of the movie, so nobody misses anything :(
  22. Oh, nice :D Maybe I won't watch it in 3D then either... :3 It's cool that we both have "bane" in our names, thou Balrog of Bauglir!
  23. I don't really care about LEGO releasing two sets "early", since these said sets are about the best ones in the Hobbit series, with competition from Goblin Town. The Wargs would be cool to have, but the set is too expensive. I just got myself another Helm's Deep instead, at reduced price since I bought it off of an auction site, for 884 SEK (=132,47 USD), which is $34 cheaper than in the cheapest stores :) That leaves me very satisfied ^^ I haven't seen the Hobbit film yet, but I really look forward to it. Although it is in 3D I think it might be good. When the DVD comes out I'll be able to watch it in plain 2D as films ought to be seen. 3D might be fun too. I hope they will make a film about Túrin Turambar some years from now. But that won't happen since only hardcore fans seem to know about the First Age :(
  24. I feel like I have to get another Helm's Deep. 'twas full of good bricks. And there really aren't any Hobbit sets that I feel are "must-haves" :/ Although the Goblin Town thing would be nice, it's too expensive to really be something I must have. Would love to have some more goblins though. But another Helm's Deep would be much more fun. I could combine it with the other one and make a round castle :D
  25. Have they cut the Golden Twig and killed Baldur? ;___;
