Wow...that is some incredible work there. Simply brilliant!!
-
Nice work as usual lightning, do you know if the 'brick effect' 2x1s come in any other shades or colours yet? Can't wait to see it populated!

I can see a 'Gas Station Diaries' contest....build a nice MOC scene of the goings on in the world of Petroleum If EB is too full or busy we can have a friendly (though violence is encouraged) contest on here!

Aperture Academy Mafia School: Sign-Up Thread
gazumpty replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Have you participated in a learning experience of this nature in the past? [_] Yes [x] No (I need to learn to learn) [_] Learning? No one said anything about learning If you answered yes to the previous question, did that lead to a successful result? [_] Yes [x] No (I did not answer yes so I asume no) [_] I'm not sure This learning experience may take as much as 6 weeks to complete and a failure to participate can lead to unpleasant results. Will you be available for this entire time? [x] Yes [_] No Do you appear well educated to others? [x] Yes (I hope so or this bow-tie and pocket watch were a lousy investment) [_] No Are they wrong? [x] Yes (they were a lousy investment) [_] No Are you currently being observed? [_] Yes [x] No (though who can be really sure) [_] Not Sure Have you ever sued a scientific corporation for an injury you received? [_] Yes [_] No [x] An Injury prevents me from remembering Why do you wish to participate in this experiment learning experience? Please limit your response to no more than 10,000 words. I feel that we should all partake in some gentle learning persuasion. The mystery and intrigue of the 'dog-eat-dog' world of EB mafia is the sort of thing I need in my life. Did you feel pressured to write more because of the above limitation? [_] Yes [x] No (pressure is for those who can't handle their bricks ) [_] I can't count that high [_] Oops, I didn't read that -
Ladies and Gentlemen....I believe it's a 'Gas Station' Showdown!! ...I think I'll have a piece of that action too!

wow...loving the new car dealership and the new manager in front! "Some say he sweats lego bricks"....and "Some say he was the guy that fired the Pre-2005 lego CITY designers!" ...we just call him LEGO STIG!

I agree with Kristel, the Town Hall in most layouts gets sandwiched into a street. I think your proposed redesign will suit it much better. My only tweek would be to set it maybe 16 studs back from the edge of your pavement (sidewalk ) and create a small public square in front. Most urban spaces utilise this in front of their Civic architecture. Great work Swissbrick!

I love the proper scale and stud widths you are utilising here salvo My main issue with current CITY sets are the often weird looking cars that are produced, which use the wheel arch brick and the chunky 4x4 tyres. making a 4 wide scaled car too wide! Your style is more like it...great work!

I love this wee scene....really brings the Modular to life....great work!

Great work...another 'Classic Town' scale MOC....watch out lightningtiger

Tweaking the Haunted House

I agree that tiled finish should only be applied on areas that require a smooth finish...The more recent modulars look great with their floors tiled where applicable! -
Beautiful work as always Lightning ... would love to see it populated and bustling with 1950's figs!
-
I'll be honest and say I can't fault it...I love the imposing monolithic nature of the beast looming over our wee hero. Great work Buurli Burri!
-
Nemo I think you are absolutely correct. More of these brilliant and imaginative MOC's and MOD's required! I have been shamed into being more creative! Great work Nemo!!!

Great work, I love the scale and the sentiment behind this project. Off to Cuusoo I go
