  1. [pid][/pid] 251D This model was built for the Store Showcase in Wiesbaden (Germany). I decided to build a new theme, and because I always favor to build themes from my childhood I think it was time for some Pirates. But I am also a castle builder and I found these blue-jacket soldiers in the stores figure box, so I wanted to build anything that was like the old Imperial Soldiers sets. I got my inspiration from the sets "Eldorado Fortress" (6276) and the "Armada Flagship" (6280). Building time: 70 hours Bricks: 24.000 Thanks for looking and commenting
  2. Thanks for your kind comment
  3. Thanks for all your comments, I am glad you like our story. Your positive feedback mitvates me to build even more SW-Story-MOCs Completly right, especially that teddy bears A good point. But if you know my overall building style, I love to build clean and wide. An so I stay with it Even if especially a soccer table is an awesome idea !
  4. Still happy about that awesome feedback we are getting with our SoNE-Story. Definitly going to biuld some more stuff in this SW-universe. Episode build is coming soon ! Thanks for editing the title. The LEDs within the build are TLC original lights. I use them just to be purist within the real build, but I think I am going to braze my own soon. The original TLC's just seem so bright because my camery makes everything brighter in such a dark setting. On top of the build for lighting it up we both are using LED-stripes. Usually I am using Daylight-bulbs, but for my SW builds I like that artifical glow of LEDs, also i can adjust the brightness of them. I put their brightness on minimum level, and my camera enhances it a little bit. Then afterwards I am adjusting the lights with GIMP in a secret "Movie Mode" (try youtube). Hope this answers your question. I knew before, that not everybody understood this joke, because it was a bit tricky. They are landing on Endor, the planet in the background is the olive green one, which is Endor. I just wanted to make our protahonists look like some kind of dorks who know nothing about the universe. Actually it was hard to see because you really had to look on the planets surface, so no problem. Glad to see people actually reading these stories. You are definitly right ! I tried to make some improvements, but nothing really pleased me. So I stayed with his original design because it is just perfect. Proportions and scale fit very well. It was a bit risky, but when I saw the result it really looked cool. Found an inspirational picture from a SD hangar were they got red stripes on the floor and had to do it. In my opinion it looks a little bit like a Nazi hangar with this... Those angled wings are connected with simple clips, sometimes the solution is so easy The larger vehicles are completly in scale, try to google the Y-85-Titan AT-AT-Transporter. Everything in that build was scale compared with each other. I like them to be that enourmos, because they are unbelivable big. As you can read in the story they can transport 4 (!) AT-ATs at a time. Their front is a little bit too clean, but they really do like this in reality. Only the Empire takes the cake...
  5. Thanks a lot for your comments ! Really appreciate that ! Yes I have decided to make this a freebuild, because my Episode build seem to turn out extremly well. Just cant edit the topic line... The AT-ATs are the design from 2 Much Caffeine. The windows here are round to make a special building technique thats all. With slopes it would be just too average. They do not really connect. Half of the clips are falling off, if you lift up the AT-AT, but some stay in position.
  6. Welcome to the Empire new recruits ! I have finished my next build, the Invasion Preparation. Just not sure if I want it to be my Episode-Build or just a freebuild. Gonna decide within one week.
  7. The story about Markus Montari and Paul Brickstorm at SoNE continues. The story so far: Join the Empire - Markus1984 Recruitment - Disco86 Swearing In - Markus1984 Foreign System - Disco86 Last firing exercise - Markus1984 After their last exercise our two protagonists have recieved the order to move to the hangar. The preparations for an invasion of the foreign green planet are in full swing. The Empire's troops are ready for their mission and gathering for the transport. Take a look over here, the fleet is getting ready to take off. That's a really impressive landing fleet, seems like something big is going on here ! Indeed, these steely behemoth are Y-85 Titan Transporters. Everyone could carry up to four AT-ATs. Just wondering why they told us, that they expect no serious resistance down there ? Who could fight against such a huge number of walkers ? And what's this over there ? Have you ever listened to our training lessons ? Nope These are our dropships, Delta-Class DX-9. They gonna bring us down to the planet's surface. Maybe this is going to be tight and uncomfortable. You are really a wise guy...
  8. Cool build, especially like that mecha suit and the vegetiation. It is a neat detail that you have added this ewok treehouse. The Empire strikes back !
  9. This reminds me of "Avatar"m which is for sure a good thing ! Great woodchopper suit and some lovely vegetation here.
  10. Looks like this will be the beginning of a legendary neverending tale
  11. Another great part of the series. You really making each part of the story better than the one before. Hopefully I can top that with my upcoming freebuild. Like who the story slowly develops, and especially because of the building skill.
  12. Thanks fellows, a lot of great feedback you are giving here. I am very pleased :) Sorry, but you will never see a whole moc-image here. I have decied to go with this intra-moc-style when building for SoNE. Mostly it is just built for one angle and won't look so good from far away. You really got some good points here !
  13. Thanks for your comments, glad you like this build. Think it turned out better than my first one. Now I get my hands on a last freebuild before our heroes are invading the foreign planet :) Yep, you are right. But as said above I am not really into realism in a fictional world. Or wait, this is not ficitional, isn't it ?
  14. Thanks for all your comments. I am glad you like this build and I hope there will be coming lots more SW-builds by me. At this moment I really love it ! Maybe some people think that some details are not totally realistic. In my opinion too strict regulations in Sci-Fi (the Fi stands for Fiction ) are just nonesense. I am building this for fun.
  15. That is a great start for the Empire in this episode. You are presenting us an awesome hangar. Lots of technical details and the color scheme is as it should be. Definitly a top-notch entry !
  16. Sorry for writing in the forbidden alliance zone, hope this is not a total no-go-area. In my opinion Bothans are more catlike. I wanted to use one in an future build and I would prefer Chima figures:
  17. Thanks for your comments ! Just had to do that "Avatar" quote, even if Kansas is not really a part of Star Wars
  18. Also added my 2nd freebuild We are waking up in a Foreign System !
  19. The story about Markus Montari and Paul Brickstorm at SoNE continues. The story so far: Join the Empire - Markus1984 Recruitment - Disco86 Swearing in - Markus1984 After their swearing our two recruits were garrisoned at a huge spaceship. They were leaving soon into a foreign system with unknown objectives. One day they finally arrived at the target coordinates. Get up and suit up you incapable douchebags ! Everything ready, recruits ? Sir, Yes, Sir ! I am not a Sir, I am your Staff Sergant ! Yes, Staff Sergant ! You are going to participate in a very important mission soon. We need to test your blaster abilities again, after that you are invading this green hell down there. So get your fighting suits on and meet me at sector 32 ! Yes, Staff Sergant ! What a fascinating planet, do you have any clue which one this could be ? This one is full of trees and nature, so it could only be Yavin 4. Wow, I am really excited what adventures are awaiting us down there. I am sure these Yavavis are dangerous...
  20. Thanks for your warm welcome in the EB Star Wars section ! Dont forget that this is just the beginning of a story, our heroes will have to practice with weapons soon. They are not going directly to battlefield, like some of you think
  21. These reflections are so shiny, love it ! Must have been a lot of work to put all these heads on the figures
  22. Following to Markus' first freebuild, I continued our story with my freebuild "Recruitment" So we finally joined the empire :) @Beaver Great work in LDD !
  23. After a night full of booze Markus Montari and Paul Brickstorm are waiting in the empire recruitment office. Still not really sober they wait to be next. Hey Markus, do you know what we are doin here ? Last night, when we have been drunk, we decided to join the army. I think that was a good idea, like all ideas you have after midnight. It is so boring here on Nar Shaddaa. And honestly earning some credits is always a good thing. Yoyo fellas, some credits are always good... windmills ? here ? bugs ! Well, cant be that wrong to join them... Have you read it ? drinking water ! Full of plague ! Full of Plague... need to call them... but no number... NO NUMBER !!! After some serious time waiting they finally reached the recruitment officer. Name ? Brickstorm, Paul Brickstorm Homeplanet ? Nar Shaddaa Special interest or abilities ? None You are hired, move on ! In a room nearby they got their armor and a blaster with some warm words of welcome. You are not in Kansas anymore, this is the Empire ! Yes, Sir ! I am not a sir, I am your Staff Sergant ! Yes, Staff Sergant !!! Now take a gun, and get outta here !
  24. Great thanks to everyone who voted for this build and made my victory possible
  25. Yeehaaa, I won a spaceship, spaceship, SPACESHIP !!!! (Now where is my Blacktron tag ?) Many thanks to all the voters, and special thanks to Bob De Quatre and the Sci-Fi-Staff to make this awesome contest possible. I thnik all participants had a lot of fun while building their entries ! And also congrats to the other winners, we some really strong entries here.
