  1. I have posted another Freebuild, we will see if I can make another one and then build another episode entry... think I could not make it, but we will see. Cantina visit
  2. The story about Markus Montari and Paul Brickstorm at SoNE continues. The story so far: Join the Empire - Markus1984 Recruitment - Disco86 Swearing In - Markus1984 Foreign System - Disco86 Last Firing Exercise - Markus1984 Invasion Preparation - Disco86 The Invasion Begins - Markus1984 Endor Construction Site - Disco86 Mission Endor complete - Markus1984 Back from Endor - Markus1984 Searching in the Outer Rim - Prehistory - Markus1984 Searching in the Outer Rim - Disco86 After their long and hard task Markus and Paul arrived at Tatooine. And what would you do if coming to Mos Eisley and recieving your paycheck ? Right, you have to go to the Cantina ! I just love that Modal Nodes sound... What could be better than hangin around in a bar after hard work ? Tzidi Tzidi Bang, Tzidi Tzidi Bang... Let's go get us some new booze ! We are taking two on my bill again Tzidi Tzidi Bang, Tzidi Tzidi Bang... Hi you sexy imperials ! Hi Sweetie ! The story abruptly ends here... nobody could remember anything after that... or maybe just nobody wants to tell...
  3. Thanks a lot for your nice comments ! You make me think about building more LotR themed builds in the upcoming month
  4. Thanks a lot for your enormous feedback here ! Really glad you like this one, it was my most difficult build so far, and I am satisfied how you think it turned out. Got the same thought, after finishing the photos, just did not know the pokemon's name That was something I realized in early planning stage, and then I decided to build it, because I thought it would be fun to create my own color scheme. In my imagination dinosaurs are colored like this one, some kind of colorful but still some camouflage colors in it.
  5. Thanks BEAVeR for your comment, and also for blogging my work I didn't want to overdo the IB-thing, so I build just one with the part. And also I want my IB-builds to look as different as possible, so no way for two similar SW-Vignettes. I am definitly thinking about your criticizm about the govering leg, definitly gonna change this. I have not recognized it, but now looking at all in one thread, it really looks kinda werid how all the time one leg is in the middle of the air
  6. Wow, really like how much postitive feedback I get on these "simple vignettes" here and on flickr. This one was the first I built, and then the vignette-virus infected me That was exactly my aim. I wanted it to look a little bit unrealistic, because it makes a "cute" vignette. But no problem if you don not prefer this style. Usually I like to build in realistic compared sizes, but then I need more space. So I adapted my style on this.
  7. Really appreciate your comments, thank you ! Ramshakle build is always fun, even if it is difficult sometimes...
  8. Thanks ! This was the most fun of the vignettes. I could really recommend to everyone to build on that crazy planet, it really is a blast. Never combined so many trans-neon-colors I thought you would prefer the bigger gun. But now I know you don't need that, so I am giving you the small one next time. Yes, I need to incorporate at least in one build, if I am building something during this IronBuilder Definitly a good point. These will be the most fantastic vignettes. And everyone could be so creative here. Great planet choice !
  9. Thanks guys, I knew that everybody loves greebles, so I made a boat out of it I also was suprised. For me it feels a little bit like the people in that Kevin Costner movie "Waterworld" You are right, they are from the new Star Destroyer set.
  10. Great interpretation of my build, starting wih that SNOT road ! The architecture is like I would build it, and gives the fell of a much greater building or basement behind it.
  11. That one is much better than my entry. You got the real junkyard vibe in here. Everything is perfect about this in my opinion. The colors, the foul-smelling water and all this stuff lying around. Good luck with this one !
  12. Great build ! Really like these new Freinds-pieces twisted to weird looking plants. Need to remind this, when I got time for my Avatar diorama. And the AT-TE foot gives a nice touch
  13. Really simple, but always like the usage of flex tube ! The water and the Mon Calamaris figures give us the right feeling here
  14. Thanks ! Really like your feedback. Even if this is really small, you seem to like it, awesome ! Sometimes it is more important to make something not that realistic to make it more fun. It would be really senseless to make a roleplaying game, when everybody is looking syngeneic, wouldn't it ? Yes ! just some days and we get our drinks in the cantina I prefer that, when building on such a small base. So we could capture the real feel. Building extremly small parts of really huge buildings is not my thing. Then I would wait for a freebuild to build the hole big thing without restrictions.
  15. Thanks for all your comments ! It was really a blast to build this small vignettes And good to see that now, after posting the complete story, everybody understands why I made that extra thread.
  16. Really simple, but really effective. My favorite part is the ground color, that fading between light and dark tan. And that "beacon" adds the right feel for the planet. Great work ! I am looking forward to see some more rebel builds (but not too much)
  17. This build is massive for a 16x16. And you really show is the industrial site of Fondor. Maybe a little bit to grey, but well, that's Fondor ! Really like that iron structure and the story is really something different.
  18. Especially like that you are just in this build as a hologram. There is really no reson that a high Master like you should set a foot on this weird and dangerous planet The built itself is cool. It has some extraordinary building techniques. But for my opinion your build needs more trans-neon-colors.
  19. I always love a good forced perspective. Definitly going to copy the style in some of my next builds. With a much larger background this may look even better. But you really made the best out of 16x16, and these LDD-pictures are really looking good !
  20. A lot of stuff going on, on that small space. Cool to see the underwater and overwater action. Especially these jetpacks are in good use. I am excited, what you are changing for the final version !
  21. That's really creative to combine microscale and minfig-scale. Really like that bounty hunter ship leaving ! And it really has the Ord Mantell style
  22. Come on Rebels give us some competition !
  23. The contest entries should be posted each in a seperate thread, so I created a new one to combine all the builds with each other I am going to reread it, to correct misspelled words...
  24. The story about Markus Montari and Paul Brickstorm at SoNE continues. The story so far: Join the Empire - Markus1984 Recruitment - Disco86 Swearing In - Markus1984 Foreign System - Disco86 Last Firing Exercise - Markus1984 Invasion Preparation - Disco86 The Invasion Begins - Markus1984 Endor Construction Site - Disco86 Mission Endor complete - Markus1984 Back from Endor - Markus1984 Short overiew what's awaiting you this episode: Our two protagonists recieved a new objective. They should try to find Boba Fett and give him a notice from Darth Vader, because he wants to thank Boba for his nearly successful work so far. The mission sheet describes Boba's route nearly exact, but will he really be anywhere out there ? How to find somebody, who does not want to be found ? The first planet on the mission sheet was Fondor, so Markus and Paul travelled down there. What a weird planet. Well I like the technical design, but why is everyone bald ? Maybe we should start an hair transplantation enterprise here, if we fail in the army... Greetings imperial soldier, what brings you to our planet ? We are searching for a bounty hunter, wearing green. We heard he may be on Fondor these days ? I heard something about this person. A friend told me, he engaged one of these naughty guys to search for a client with enormous unpaid debts. I think these poor guy is living in the slums of Ord Mantell, if he is not dead already... That's the information we needed, thanks and bye ! So they got back to their ship and programmed the coordinates of Ord Mantell into the board system. Puh, do you smell that ? That is really disgusting... but look over there. Looks like on of these bounty hunter hideouts. Get off my lawn !!! Calm down, we are searching for Boba, have you seen him ? No, I can't remember anything. Maybe some credits would help me to think about it. Hmmm, sounds fair, doesn't it ? Don't waste our money on that scum, we are going to find him on our own... stormtrooper-like ! But they could not find him on their own in the wide junkyards and wastelands of Ord Mantell. Checking out the next possible location seemed reasonable, beacuse after three days of wandering through Ord Mantell, Boba for sure was not here anymore. But this time they preferred to take their blasters with them, nobody could know what they would meet at Felucia. I stepped on something... uargh... that is slimy... That plant here is even worse... I think it is moving... Is it going to pinch at us ? Let's get outta here ! It's like a foliage nightmare ! Well, the "short trip" to Felucia wasn't really a success. But why should Boba rest here longer than one second ? No chance to meet him. But finding him on Mon Calamari sounds easy, with so many water there couldn't be so much places to hide. Yeeeehaaaa, that speed boat ride is fun ! I am just enjoying the fresh air, that may be good for my health. Want a glass of milk ? Or some vegetables ? Everything for your health... So you know where he has been ? Yes yes, Boba was visiting a bar yesterday. He was having a delicious fish menu, but after dinner he disappeared. At least it is a chance. Yes yes, a good chance to eat the healthy fish menu. But as you may guess, there was no trace of the well known bounty hunter. So they decided to travel to Tatooine to tell their Staff Sergant, that there was no chance to complete the mission, even if they tried "so" hard. That end of the mission is so depressing... Take it easy, we get our paycheck anyways. Gotcha ! Whut ? Greetings Mister Fett, we got a mission to hand over you this tha--- STOP THAT ! I already recieved a ton of your thank-you-cards Mister Nobody, can't see them anymore. So get out of my way and leave me alone ! That was rude, but well... mission complete ! Let's just throw these card away and tell our Staff Sergant we delivered it. Let's go to get our paychecks and then we may visit the cantina.
