I am interested to see what responses you get. I have wanted to build a power plant that has its coal delivered by rail. During the offloading process, the hoppers go through a series of stations that automatically open the doors to allow the coal to dump underneath the tracks where it is scooped up and loaded onto conveyor belts to the silos. I'll be watching this with interest.

Another nice build. Keep this up and you'll force me to start making orders on BrickLink lol.

Nice build. Are these 6 or 8 wide?
-
Nice design. It's good to see you trying to bring the price point down. I lile the fact that its a hollow build to cut down on weight. I have several builds going on and have been raiding my BrickLink store for parts lol. I'll revisit this in the future.

I saw a couple of videos on YouTube that were leaked photos. I am going to buy at least one of each train themed set this year! I can't wait :-)

Wow! An awesome build in 6 studs wide! Excellent work :-) The wheel sets move well, and it handles the curves quite well. I'd be game to build it, but I have other projects on the back burner as it is now. I'll revisit this soon. Again...congrats on am awesome build. The baby needs to make an appearance at a Brick show...or on LEGO Ideas...hint hint.

Very nice! I have something similar to go with my two Santa Fe engines. It's a box car by Tim Gould if memory serves me correctly. I have two PF train motors, IF receiver, rechargeable battery box and a reverser swith in the boxcar. Works great. You could always double the lenght to make a setup lile mine. I like how you used panels, as that reduces the weight. Again, a great moc!!!

Very nice find. You've got some nice trains there. Before long...you'll find a way to make space lol.

Those are pretty impressive. Are they 6 studs wide?

Truly....an outstanding build. The details...are perfect. I know several of my non AFOL train friends would love to have their hands on this! You should submit it to LEGO Ideas. Maybe they could come up with a line of UCS Train sets. Congratulations on the build and keep them coming :-)

Nice work. I like the app. Does it have the capability to control more than one train?

Very impressive build!

I can't wait to try these out. Keep us posted when you have these available. Make sure you have enough to go around for the first run. I'd take 2 motors and a controller box to start. :-)

I see. I was thinking of a control box that could be used instead of the computer. I see now why you use the computer since it is automated, which sounds pretty good. I was thinking something along the lines of a powered switch box that you could have and then if you wanted to switch tracks, you could just move the "lever" back and forth. How much does one of these things cost?

I'm definitely interested in these. I've been trying out some of the mods that are on the internet, but I have no luck with the PF M motors since they can be too powerful to throw the switch. In most cases, the M motor comes off the bricks/plates or the design causes the bricks to fly apart. I'm a purist at heart, but would be willing to try these out. I'm interested to see how these connect to your PC and would like it if you had a separate control box to flip them by hand. Brian

Miro, It's good to see you as well! I'll take a look. Hope to see you around :-) Brian

Hello All, I am interested in finding some good quality stickers that I can affix to some custom inter-modal cars that I am building, as well as some generic train related stickers. Does anyone create these, or is there a website that you frequent to purchase these items. Any testimonials you may have, are greatly appreciated. Brian

I have been interested in RAILBRICKS for some time and even purchased the printed copies. I would check out the site frequently and liked what was going on. I'm a dye hard 9v fan and seeing the devotion to the train theme was a good thing. I believe starting fresh is a good idea. Maybe start out with the site and development with ideas from the group. Maybe even do a kick starter to help fund the operation. Offer advertising on the site to help pay for the costs. People can contribute articles based on their expertise and skill set. I'd be willing to pay for advertising on a month to month basis. If you get a printed magazine, the sellers can buy them and offer them for sale in their stores online as well. Much to think about. I'm happy to see this brought up again. I'm willing to chip in any way I can to help get this baby off the ground. Brian @ Capital City Bricks

Yeah, I checked the sets but it appears to not be listed as a color or alternate in any of the listings.

Greetings all. I just had a quick question for the group. I have a few of these items: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=71015&idColor=22 in Chrome Silver. I have tried to research when these were made and in what sets they came. Does anyone know of their origin? Thanks for helping out. Brian

Very nice indeed! Love the details and the color scheme is spot on. Any plans for publishing the instructions. I'd love to have this for my layout as well!

Awesome layout! Pretty impressive video of the whole thing, especially while looping the different tracks.
