  1. "Ah well, worth a shot." Boomingham picks up the knife on the desk. He pushes it gently into the palm of his hand, hoping to assess if it is still sharp. He then starts to peruse the documents on the desk to see if any of them might be interesting.

  3. "Well, this isn't exactly my cup of tea. We don't know a thing about ol' Mortimor, how are we supposed to know the three numbers he had in mind." Boomingham rights the chair and sits in it. He picks up the bottle next to him to inspect for liquor. "Your guess is good as mine. Rogue, let's see if you can try your hands at the device." Boomingham reaches down and dials in the numbers 1-2-3.
  4. Boomingham picks up a book or two and flips through them, barely paying attention to anything actually written in them. "It seems that our charges are intent on us exploring all of Strivvi in search of them," he chuckles merrily. He lifts the wine glass to see if any liquid remains. "I doubt they've hurt him. If they've got him, they'll want information from him. I'll assume he's still alive. By the sounds of it, however, they missed him entirely. Though that leaves us with a bit of a dead end. Hopefully whoever trashed the place left a clue or two intact as to where he might be." Boomingham checks under the table. "Last time someone wasn't home, they were eaten by their rug. Does anyone see a rug around?"

His body is still in his final resting spot. Dead
  6. Draco Draconius - Human – Wren Appeared in: Quest 7 Draco Draconius ran a diabolical arena, which, using magic, would kidnap members from small towns in the High Kingdoms, and force them into combat. Lady Wren helped to fund his arena, and later gave him heroes of Heroica to “play with”. The heroes were able to free themselves and kill him, but in the end Wren revealed this was what she wanted them to do, as Draco had been a stupid and simple man and had not fully understood his evil. Dead Felton - Human – High Kingdoms Town/Wren Hunters Appeared in: Quest 7, 19, Dastan Trilogy, 38 Felton is darkly practical and cynical at times, though these two traits help him see through trickery easily, and his grasp of good and evil is extremely sound. He is good friends with Hans. Felton hails from a small town in the High Kingdoms, but has now devoted his life to catching Wren. After she kidnapped him for the Arena, where he first met the heroes, he helped them break out, and swore to eradicate her. Later, in Haddon, he was separated from Hans and the heroes, realized that they are backing the wrong side of the war, and joined the guards. His double sided with the Rebels, but was eventually figured out, and his copy was killed. He assisted the guards in winning the war. He then left Haddon to track down Wren. In Dastan, Felton once more met the heroes. His friend, Hans, told the heroes that Felton had been scarred by his experience in Haddon, and was now incredibly paranoid. He assisted them in a number of tasks, though his main objective remained stopping Wren. After he convinced a group of heroes to kill Constance, the Leader of the Dragon Knights whom Felton mistakenly believed to be a Cultist and traitor, Felton was thrown in jail. He later redeemed himself by figuring out the enemy was using a tunnel system to travel the city. In the Battle of Dastan he survived a fight in the prison. Felton arrived in the Valley of Peace after the heroes have fought the Last General. He swore that he and his gang will be there to assist the heroes when they fight Wren next. Alive, Whereabouts Unknown Hans - Human – High Kingdoms Town/Wren Hunters Appeared in: Quest 7, 19, Dastan Trilogy, 38 Hans is a simple man who is aware that he is simple. He is occasionally a pessimist, and often times cuts directly to the chase. He is a little violent and hot headed, but seems to have a good heart. He’s good friends with Felton. Hans hails from a small town in the High Kingdoms, but has now devoted his life to catching Wren. After she kidnapped him for the Arena, where he first met the heroes, he helped them break out, and swore to eradicate her. Later, in Haddon, he fought alongside the Rebels and the heroes until they meet the real Felton. After that, Hans assisted the guards in winning the war. He then left Haddon to track down Wren. In Dastan, Hans told the heroes his primary objective was to stop Wren, though he is more receptive than Felton to helping protect the nobles. He fought alongside a number of heroes in various battles while trying to track down the Dark Lady. During the Battle of Dastan, he was pinned down somewhere in the city alongside Poletad. Mallelio went to his rescue. Hans arrived in the Valley of Peace after the heroes had fought the Last General. He swore that he and his gang will be there to assist the heroes when they fight Wren next. Alive, Whereabouts Unknown Phil/Victor Phyllius – Human – Dastan Empire Appeared in: Quest 7, Dastan Trilogy Phil is first encountered in the Arena of Wren in Quest 7. He reveals that he offered himself as tribute when Wren demanded a captive from the town he was staying in. Phil escapes with the heroes, and then disappears. It is later revealed that Phil, or rather Victor, is an Ambassador to the High Kingdoms from Dastan. He invites the heroes to help the Emeperors prevent a series of assassinations. Throughout the heroes’ stay in Dastan he proves himself, fierce, loyal, resourceful, and honorable. He is eventually named the next Emperor of Dastan. Alive, In Drakencourt Lady Wren - Human - Wren/Zoot Appeared in: Quest 7, 19, Dastan Trilogy, 38 Wren is a worshiper of Chaos and plans to take power from the God Zoot. She is known to control "Chaos Beasts". Once, while still a member of Heroica, she defeated a young Skrall. Her first run in with the Heroes of the Hall was at an Arena, somewhere in the High Kingdoms, in which she forced the heroes to fight each other and eventually kill the head of the games, Draco. She fled, and was later found in the town of Haddon. In Haddon she tricked Felton and Hans into thinking that the Rebels were the side they should support, though in fact the Guards of the town were in the right. When the real Felton was separated from Hans and figured out that the Guards were clearly in the right, she created a copy of Felton to string along the heroes. Though the heroes eventually caught the Fake Felton and correctly sided with the Guards to win the war, the damage was done, as Wren did not care who won, just that it was an even enough match to cost both sides lives. She also explained that she does not think the world is “good” or “evil” and that Chaos reigns. She knows what she does hurts others, but she explains they’ll be hurt either way, so she may as well profit. She then flees. In Dastan, Wren backed the Assassins. She worked alongside them and the Lion Knights to upset power, though she made clear to Atramor, Hans, and Felton that she has other motives. She stole the Spiritus Intendere, a device designed to submit spirits to her will. She then assisted in the murder of U’Stus, and later came to the heroes and asked them kill the Chimera. She kidnapped Sphinx, and attempted, in the Battle of Dastan, to make off with Ella, though she was prevented. She then fled. In the Valley of Peace, the heroes watched a young Wren in a series of flashbacks. The Valley of Peace was Wren’s final quest with Heroica. She was seen systematically betraying her party members at the behest of Roderick Hinckwell, a Knight. It was eventually revealed that she and Roderick, and the Gray Wizard, discovered a Temple of Zoot. She and Roderick received visions from the God. Wren discovered the beauty of Chaos, though she leads Roderick to believe that she too wished to end it and replace it with Order. After the entire party is sealed away, Wren killed Roderick, but found herself no match for the Last General. She pleaded for her life, which he gave her. After the heroes killed the General in the present, Wren returned and took the Amulet of Gods. She then promised to see them soon and left once more. Alive and Wanted
  7. Quest 6 Donny Dozenhands - Human - The Wolfgang Appeared in: Quest 6, 23, 33, 34 Donny is a master pickpocket, thanks to being raised in the streets of Eubric Freeport ever since he was very young. He formed his own notorious gang of thieves that thrived until Ulric Wolfkin came to town. Over one single night Donny was swearing loyalty to Ulric, as were many other criminal leaders at the time. Donny quickly rose the ranks and is now one of the three master criminals taking orders only from Ulric. At one point even Heroica was after Donny for committing crimes against the Six Houses, but he managed to bribe the champions chasing him and escape. Donny later led the assault on the Town Watch building, his current whereabouts are unknown. He, like other Wolfgang leaders, was revealed to be a werewolf. Alive, the Wolf's Den Ubert Lilbelly - Human - Town Watch/The Wolfgang Appeared in: Quest 6, 33 The former captain of the Town Watch is greedy and gluttonous, which are both common traits for a watchman in Eubric. His continuous failure to fulfill the demands of the six houses in power caused him to be demoted into a lieutenant. He blamed Heroica for his demotion, and his bitterness grew to such an extent that he sided with the Wolfgang. His traitorous actions were soon cut short by Heroica. Dead
  8. Quest 5 Crozen Porthiar - Unknown - Porthiar Family Appeared in: Quest 5, 21 Almost nothing is known about Crozen Porthiar, or the Porthiar Family in general. Crozen's undead body assaulted some heroes in a quest hosted by Eran Hinckwell, in which the Matriarch was turned to dust. Later, a pair of Zeigfried brothers hired a few more heroes from the hall to go back in time and inspect their family tree. Crozen appeared, but the spell went awry before anything could be revealed, ending the quest. Assumed Dead
  9. Please note, the second post will eventually just be "Quest 1". The alphabetical index will simply be the text with link version. Characters who appear more than once will simply be catalogued in every quest they appear in. This new system should almost help us see which quests we are missing NPCs for.
  10. Does this new method seem to work for everyone? Both alphabetical, and also in order of appearance?
  11. Quest 4 Lord Davril - Brobric Elf - Brobric Elves, Keveak's Army Appeared in: Quests 4, 17 Lord Davril was the right-hand man and groomed successor of Lord Keveak before the latter's death. Lord Davril survived the Battle of Hinckwell House in Bric'Lin, and regrouped the remaining elven forces, proceeding to drive the Lions back in a series of battles in northern Uland. He was finally stopped when, working with heroes, the Lion Knights made a stand at Bric'Bay Fort. Lord Davril was killed along with his best officers and troops, and with his death, Keveak's Army fell apart. Dead Isaac Shawe - Human - The Shadeaux Appeared in: Quest 4 Isaac Shawe, Slightly Less Dearly Beloved Second-in-Command of Security for the House of Shadeaux, is best known as a conniving trickster who instigated a war that his house could benefit from. In reality, his lifelong dream has been to be a hero with Heroica, but he gave up that dream in order to accept his current position, which allegedly pays 70 Gold an hour and comes with an excellent retirement plan and health insurance. Shawe plans to retire in a few years and purchase an estate on one of the more remote free islands. He is also the uncle of hero Dak Shadeaux. Alive, In Uland Lord Keveak - Brobric Elf - Brobric Elves, Keveak's Army Appeared in: Quest 4 An arrogant, narrow-minded, and vain elven lord, Keveak raised an army of elves to oppose the Lion Knights' dwelling on Uland. His exact motives for this are unknown, but it is safe to assume that he simply didn't want any more human factions holding significant positions on Uland. Based on his actions, he was killed after a short conflict by heroes during the Battle of Hinckwell House. Keveak remains one of the most hated enemies Heroica has faced. He was convinced that the superiority of the elven race and the numbers of his army would enable him to flush out any opposition with brute force, and regarded any other type of military action as cowardly. During his time as an elven lord, he had an intense rivalry with Lord Normorn. Dead Sir Leonard Kniveton - Human - Lion Knights Appeared in: Quests 4, 17, Dastan Trilogy The former leader of the Lion Knights, Sir Leonard hasn't seen much action, but he has guided the Lions from outcasts wandering the seas to becoming a minor power in Eubric with a respectably-sized standing army. Following the defeat of the Lions' enemies in battle, Sir Leonard has chosen to retire, appointing a member of the nobility, Count Lewis Knyghton, as his successor. Alive, In Uland Commodore Martin Largus - Human - House of Hinckwell Appeared In: Quest 4, Quest 17 Commodore Martin Largus, a commander of one of the Hinckwell's small trading fleets, is a no-nonsense sort of person who primary concern is the protection of the Hinckwell's property, both on land and at sea, based on the northern half of Uland. Largus has opposed the Brobric Elves on multiple occasions and is a supporter of Lion Knights, but not much else is known about his views. Alive, In Uland Lord Normorn - Brobric Elf - Brobric Elven Intelligence Appeared in: Quest 4, Dastan Trilogy Lord Normorn, ruler of the Brobric Elves and, previously, head of Elven Intelligence under Lord Ricroar, is one of the greatest military strategists to grace the Brobric Elven military. Not much is known of his original positions in the army, but he eventually rose to lead the intelligence division during the reign of Lord Ricroar, whom he supplied with information concerning the movements of the Lion Knights. Lord Normorn opposed Lord Keveak's plan to flush out the newcomers, but Lord Ricroar sided with Lord Keveak. After both Lords Ricroar and Keveak were killed by heroes in the Battle of Hinckwell House, Lord Normorn assumed control of the Brobric Elves, exiling what remained of Keveak's army. No opposition has been shown towards Normorn's rule. During his time as head of intelligence, he had an intense rivalry with Lord Keveak. Alive Seaian - Brobric Elf - Brobric Elves, Keveak's Army Appeared in: Quest 4 Seaian's rank and views are unknown. He was one of the elves under the command of Lord Keveak, and escorted heroes from R'kilf to Brobric once during Lord Keveak's attempt to gain Heroica's support for his plan to drive the Lion Knights from Uland. It is unknown whether he survived the Elven-Lion War, but he was probably exiled from Brobric along with the rest of Keveak's army following Lord Keveak's death during the Battle of Hinckwell House. Unknown

  14. B Baba/Barbariccia Dellamore - Unknown - The Wolfgang? Appeared in: Quest 14, 66 The ageless witch of the bog is eternally wise and powerful but also ruthless beyond measure. She bends the world to her will, making her hut walk on giant chicken legs and summoning demons from the beyond. She has even made the spirits of day, night and dawn her loyal servants. But she is also painstakingly indifferent about the goings-on in the world, and her every service comes with a steep price. Her indifference was changed when she came upon a boy named Bluto Ziegfried. He told her about his hometown of Eubric, which reminded Baba that she had lived there a thousand years ago, back when it was still part of the Moon Elven kingdom of Mercution. She had been known as Sorceress Ambergaze of Babeleth back then, and had served as an advisor to King Haeresias. Draining Bluto of his youth, Baba took the form of Barbariccia Dellamore, and travelled to Eubric. There she gained fame as a songstress while making a pact with Ulric Wolfkin, the leader of the Wolfgang. At Eubric's 400th Foundation Day Ball, Baba hypnotized the crowd formed by the high and mighty of the city into turning against each other violently, while also slipping in a message about salvation brought by the Wolfheaded Messiah. Immortal, the Wolf's Den Balthazar Bluehood - Human - No Allegiance Appeared in: Quest 28 Balthazar Bluehood was a Hydromancer that grew up in Eubric, spurned from the magic acadamies for his interest in pursuing useful and down to earth ether usage for the common man, Balthazar began a life long study in to discovering the linkage between the physical and etherial world. 16. The NPC index will remain alphabetical due to popular demand. However, I can assure you that this is NOT easier to format. Also, our old colors disappeared, so the greens for allies in their status will be a different color now. AS a future request, please either format your NPC entries as they are done in the Index, or don't format them. Formatting them is one thing, unformatting each one is another issue entirely.
  17. Everyone calm down. I will work on both versions. Please don't worry, it will be easy to navigate. The first post will still maintain an alphabetical list of the characters. And no, not with coding it isn't. Copy and pasting is a pain when you have to re-format everything.
  18. Yes, but I can promise you editing alphabetically is a pain, and confusing. I will moc up this version, and if it is not well received, I will restore the old one.
  19. As it grows, I think this would be beneficial. I will save a copy of the old one, just in case, and will be able to restore it if the new version is not appealing.
  20. A quick poll - I think it would be easier to organize, search, and (for me) edit the index if, instead of going alphabetically, it went in order of appearance. Each of the quests would have an entry - characters would be sorted by "Quest first appeared in". At the top would be a directory. Does this sound easier or harder to navigate?
  21. That's alright. Speaking of which... NPC index will be updating throughout the week. It's been a long time, but I should be able to get it done in about 7 days. Work will start tonight. ALSO: Zoot zoot zoot! Just caught up in 44. Wren doesn't seem quite as powerful now, does she? Bit dwarfed by this army.
  22. Oh yes. It took me four quests (two of which my camera crapped out on me during) before I realized you need a majority of the sets built beforehand. I'm not complaining, but I am trying to fill the space.
  23. Hey, now, I've been bolding the "party moves on" actions for a while. I think Scuba has been building sets. A QMs lament, right?
  24. Garlin, how you make me laugh.
  25. "Right then, Garlin, we're all behind you. Here's hoping your friendly uncle is alright."
