You're not a devastating hurricane?! I've had you pinned wrong for years! I'm extremely excited to see what your quest entails! I love first time QMs! So many fresh ideas. I think Guts is most likely the most fitting hero to get shows that allow dancing. I also love it every time its listed in the status effects. I hope Guts returns for future Guffington quests! Zepher is very excited about it. But after seeing the evil that is QM-Endgame, he's thinking of upping his enemies levels and abilities. After seeing how battles play out.

Quest 18 Atticus Ziegfried - Human (?) - The Ziegfrieds/Independent Appeared in: Quest 18 Atticus is a very powerful wizard, and one of the oldest in the Ziegfried family. He was banished and sealed on a desert island after his family members learned that he was studying and practicing dark and forbidden magic. He was defeated by the heroes of Quest 18. Dead Dmitri Finegold - Human - Finegold Brothers Appeared in: Quest 18, Dastan Trilogy Dmitri is one of the two notorious Finegold brothers. They and their small organization of criminals are a general nuisance to all houses of Eubric. They specialize in stealing and kidnapping, often demanding ransoms from the rich families that control Eubric. Dmitri escaped the grasp of the heroes of Quest 18, and was last seen sailing toward the Fang Coast before the events of Quest #29. After sailing to the Fang Coast and losing most of his crew, Dmitri wandered around the eastern regions until coming upon a small town known as Voulun, in Dastan. There, he met the cultist Gottfried, who convinced Dmitri that if he joined the cult, he could revive his fallen brother, Edward. Little did Dmitri know, necromancy could only go so far, and Gottfried used this to his advantage. Manipulating Dmitri's wit and skill, the cult benefited from his involvement. Before he could revive his brother, however, the heroes of Quest #29 finished what those of Quest #18 started by defeating him along Gottfried and his section of the cult. All that remains of the Finegold brothers are a few journal entries. Dead Edward Finegold - Human - Finegold Brothers Appeared in: Quest 18 Edward is one of the two notorious Finegold brothers. They and their small organization of criminals are a general nuisance to all houses of Eubric. They specialize in stealing and kidnapping, often demanding ransoms from the rich families that control Eubric. Edward was killed by the heroes of Quest 18 in the jungle of an out-of-the-way island in the Crystalline Sea at the request of the Bonaparte family. Dead Patricia Ziegfried - Human - The Ziegfrieds Appeared in: Quest 18 Patricia is one of the many magic-wielders of the Ziegfried family. Alive Phillip Bonaparte - Human - The Bonapartes Appeared in: Quest 18 Phillip is a member of the Bonaparte House, and often acts as an ambassador for the family. Zepher replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Alright, now, who's been feeling slighted? Sir Trout, heads up! This gold ore belongs to you now. Keep an eye on it, it's a pretty piece of metal. Ellaria, this topaz goes to you. You're still next in line for something shiny, Nyx. We just need to find something you can use to hammer the enemies into bits and pieces the way you like to." Boomingham pockets the map himself. -

Zepher replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Well good. You can handle the chest, I'll take down any rugs we encounter. Rufindel, Ellaria, do you have a household specialty?" Boomingham laughs loudly and shakes his head. He sighs. "I led men into war once upon a time. Now I am preparing to fight the house fillings of an old man. Oh well, it is as it is. Onwards and upwards." -
The trouble with allowing you guys to hijack the quest is that I'm at college. ALL pictures must be taken beforehand. I'm currently building in options that I can do taking multiple pictures of different situations and inserting the ones that you guys pick, but I can't give the free reign that I like. Quests I run over the summer will maintain the freedom that I actually like. I've got some fun NPCs returning too. I do want to be careful of that, but Poletad is always good for a laugh, and I'm excited to use Everyman again. He should be fun too. Again, I know it's two months away (as of today), but I did another round of planning tonight, and things are really shaping up and finalizing, so I want all the feedback now. I hope no one minds me cluttering the thread a little.

Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job
Zepher replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
Boomingham yawns, stands, stretches and draws Scupperer. "Can never be too careful. Here we go!" -
The amount of enemies you're seeing in each battle is ridiculous. It's starting to look like every battle will be that big. There will be enemy types you're already familiar with, many of whom have travelled over from Dastan, so some battles will seem very much Dastan. EDIT: There are also, currently, spread over the course of a few battles, a total of 9 enemies I'd consider "boss strength". I'm extremely excited, if you can't tell.

Oh, by the way Flipz, yes, I do have those. I'll edit them in at some point in the revision. Also, everyone should thank Sandy and WBD for lending me a hand with the revisions. If anyone has any favorite moments from previous Wren Quests (both story-wise and battle mechanic-wise) please tell me! I am already implementing perma-effects, split party dynamics, choice making challenge, riddles/puzzles, different immunities and passive specials (bigger scale strange mechanics from 38, such as the Angel and his auras). Is there anything else I'm missing that people want to see?
-
Some specials from the final Wren quest... still very far away... just trying to get you scared. Soul Eater – ENEMY eats the hero’s soul. The hero is sealed until the end of the quest. Cannot be remedied. Backbreaker – ENEMY breaks the hero’s back. The hero is fragile until the end of the quest. Cannot be remedied.

BD, was Lawrence in the Dastan Quests? He was, right?

Quest 17 Lord Davril - Brobric Elf - Brobric Elves, Keveak's Army Appeared in: Quests 4, 17 Lord Davril was the right-hand man and groomed successor of Lord Keveak before the latter's death. Lord Davril survived the Battle of Hinckwell House in Bric'Lin, and regrouped the remaining elven forces, proceeding to drive the Lions back in a series of battles in northern Uland. He was finally stopped when, working with heroes, the Lion Knights made a stand at Bric'Bay Fort. Lord Davril was killed along with his best officers and troops, and with his death, Keveak's Army fell apart. Dead Sir Lawrence Comayne - Human - Lion Knights Appeared in: Quest 17 One of the higher lieutenants in the Lion Knight army, Sir Lawrence is known to command one of the faction's best divisions, and to him was given the duty of protecting Bric'Bay Fort during the Elven-Lion War. He remains neutral towards Heroica, though he has expressed his gratitude towards heroes who have assisted him. Alive, In Uland Sir Leofard - Human - Lion Knights Appeared in: Quests 17, Dastan Trilogy Sir Leofard is one of the more experienced Lion Knights. Now the commander of the Lions army, Sir Leofard reports directly to Count Lewis Knyghton, taking over the position once occupied by Sir Loren. As a swordsman and a warrior, Sir Leofard has no match among the Lion Knights, but he lacks some social skills. Lady Leofwena was once his squire. Sir Leofard has also worked as a military advisor, to Emperor Alandri Fowler of Dastan. Alive, In Uland Sir Leonard Kniveton - Human - Lion Knights Appeared in: Quests 4, 17, Dastan Trilogy The former leader of the Lion Knights, Sir Leonard hasn't seen much action, but he has guided the Lions from outcasts wandering the seas to becoming a minor power in Eubric with a respectably-sized standing army. Following the defeat of the Lions' enemies in battle, Sir Leonard has chosen to retire, appointing a member of the nobility, Count Lewis Knyghton, as his successor. Alive, In Uland Lord Leorry - Brobric Elf - Brobric Elves, Keveak's Army Appeared in: Quest 17 Lord Leorry was once the second-in-command of Brobric Elven Intelligence, but he resigned and left to join Keveak's Army when his superior, Lord Normorn, refused to assist Lord Keveak. Lord Leorry was capable of turning invisible and infiltrating the most tightly-guarded fortresses, but once the rest of the elven army crumbled at Bric'Bay Fort, he was cornered and killed. Dead Count Lewis Knyghton - Human - Lion Knights Appeared in: Quests 17, Dastan Trilogy One of the few remaining nobles among the Lion Knights, Count Lewis has developed an interest in siege engines and other machines of war. He has accompanied heroes working with the Lions on more than one occasion. Following Sir Leonard's decision to step down and remain only as leader of the army itself, Count Lewis has been appointed the political leader of the Lion Knights and resides in Bric'Bay Castle. Alive, Bric'Bay Castle, Uland Luke - Elf - Lion Knights Appeared in: Quests 17, Dastan Trilogy An elven sage, Luke is Sir Leonard's personal healer. As such, his primary concern is Sir Leonard's health, but the Lion's leaders have often sent him to assist heroes working with the Lions. It is unknown to which group of elves Luke comes from, but considering his beard and his actions at Bric'Bay Fort, it is probably safe to say that he is not a Brobric Elf. Alive, In Uland Commodore Martin Largus - Human - House of Hinckwell Appeared In: Quest 4, Quest 17 Commodore Martin Largus, a commander of one of the Hinckwell's small trading fleets, is a no-nonsense sort of person who primary concern is the protection of the Hinckwell's property, both on land and at sea, based on the northern half of Uland. Largus has opposed the Brobric Elves on multiple occasions and is a supporter of Lion Knights, but not much else is known about his views. Alive, In Uland

JimBee, did I ever get Quest 29 NPCs? CJP, Princess Panic? Jebs, Maa'ri? EDIT: Those are legitimate questions, I may have just sorted them strangely. CJP, for example, I already found the ones I thought I was missing.

Yes, I am editing it quest by quest. It's much easier. When Quest 28, all those who appeared will have their Bios updated to reflect this. When Quest 17 goes up in full, a lot of those who that quest will also be added to the Quest 4 post, for example.

A new section has been added to the NPC index! At the top of the page I have included three "Featured NPCs" who will change monthly (I should be able to remember to paste and copy 3 bios a month). "The One Who You NEED To Know" is a NPC who has just become important again (Zed, thanks to Sycamore... though Fantome Croise would work too right now, or Death Progg). "The One We Want To See Featured Again" is the one we (I) want to see more of (Attina is kind of badass). "The One Everyone Loves" is an NPC that I deem particularly popular. Ratabor is particularly well liked by the players... and QMs, I think! Anyone can PM me suggestions for these spots in November if they feel particularly strongly about them.

Zepher replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
Boomingham tosses down the papers, rises from the chair, and makes his way over to the coffin. "Have it your way, Ogre. I have no fear of the embalmed. Nyx and I have slain more than a couple in our day. As long as there's no scarabs in there, we'll be set." Boomingham tries to open the coffin.
