  1. Its only authentic if the arguing is done without the intention of reaching no resolution because both sides are too stubborn, and then in the end nothing is changed and the debt ceiling is raised again and no one has any idea what's going on. Political statement? Maybe. Informed statement? No. Also, seriously, what's the debt ceiling, and why does it matter if our only solution is deciding to deal with it later by raising it?
  2. I've actually finally started to give some serious thought to a second character. I don't know exactly what direction I'm going in, but I've got a few ideas floating around. EDIT: And yeah, the old crotchity men could be a really interesting suicide near the end of the story line - it'd have to be something important, but man oh man, that'd be a good one.
  3. I think Guts and Skrall would be an interesting match-up... and so would Guts and Haldor (for some reason). Guts has been intriguing me more and more as a character recently. I want to see him quest with nearly everyone. Hybros has the same effect on me for some reason. EDIT: Actually, I could see a real cool quest, near the end of the story line, being Skrall, Guts and Boomingham. Wouldn't that be an intriguing party? If they said goodbye the youngsters they admire and look after and went and did something they were most likely going to die doing? Would be interesting.
  4. Hopefully my current quest wraps up before everyone leaves the hall! If Boomingham could see Nyx AND Hoke AND Atters AND Guts AND Skrall again....
  5. I was very back and forth about Lil' Hinckley the whole game. Most of the time I thought he was scum, but for a day or two I thought he might be a mason. Masons, if you have a lead and need someone to speak up, talk to me privately. I can pass on information to the group. Its the safest way- won't endanger a mason, but if I lie, you can then come forward and won't be any worse off. But of course I won't lie. That's only of course if you have results of some sort.
  6. It is Guffington, but it will be a while before I actually host it! A little over a month. I was just commenting on Sarge when he said someone should do another murder mystery.
  7. "Nague may have to take on the batboy. I'll handle the little green chap."
  8. "Leave the little guy alone, let him come to me. Everyone else, heal up or attack." Boomingham heals himself from the front row.
  9. We had a guardian angel.
  10. Sour puss. In the past it has rounded down! So round that number down, MDM.
  11. Boomingham raises an eyebrow at Sorrow's new voice and name. "This syntax may be worse than you," he mutters to Barty quietly before turning to Thalion. "You wonder why I stick to easy indicators in battle. That's why. Now, seeing as I'm getting a potion anyway, I'll keep up our dance. Haman, prepare for our full force. Undead, try you're hand at quieting that wolf, everyone else, frontal charge." Boomingham swipes with Scupperer at Haman from the front row.
  12. Hinckley has been pinging me for a long time. This is a compelling case. I'm nervous about the votes. Why has everyone piled on? If Hinckley is scum, the others are in trouble too, this case damns them all. If they are all joining in the vote to save themselves... they won't be doing so well. But what other choice do we have. CMP took a gamble- either as scum or town, and whichever side he's on, he's won. Vote: Lil' Hinckley (Hinckley)
  13. Wait, so did the novice know, and was she thankful? Is that why she's got a thing for him? Interesting stuff. I actually didn't suspect it. I kind of thought it was Jorke... particularly after his aggressive reaction to being accused, but I reread and saw that he was taken away before really questioned. Very cool.
  14. I think in the past it has rounded up.
  15. Boomingham spits on the ground, wobbles back and attempts to heal himself. "Best have that essence at the ready, Sorrow."
  16.  Is that the filter, or you just being clever... or is it a filter for just you?!
  17. EXACTLY. They wonder why American schools are the best in the world, but clearly its because we challenge our brains! They multiple by silly tens for everything, when we use extremely complex conversions with no consistency what-so-ever! Quarts are 1/4 gallons, a pint is 1/2 a quart, and then 1 pint is 16 ounces. Want to know what that does? Makes us smarter. Hur de hur hur. Just to prove how smart I am, I had to look up those conversions on the internet! See, Americans know to use the internet instead of learning stuff. Smarter.
  18. I believe very strongly you are either a mason, or a scumbo. The defense for Chromeknight I gave (which was, by the way, correct) would have been useful if you were a mason, but not at all harming anything if you were scum. So it was a gamble, yes. You have a group of people who you seem to coordinate with. So you're in a group. Either masons, or scum. You've led us to 0 correct lynches. It seems more likely that you are scum.
  19. We won our independence from Europe once, I'm glad to see we are able to do it again. Quite honestly, all those confusing accents and "other languages" (there's a language other than American? i don't think so. Nice try, tricky Frenchies, but we know you're just spouting gibberish to try to confuse us) were starting to get on my nerves. As the old saying goes: USA! U.S.A! U, S, to the A.
  20. Here's a possibility. I think the two scum blocks have already found each other, and are purposely making sure that we don't bring anything out into the public. Quite frankly, we need a kill. People keep scaring us into not doing anything with the results we're getting, but we really need a kill. Now, I'm still not suggesting that we reveal anything... but the scum would NEED to have had a successful conversion EVERY night to be ONE MORE player than the town right now. (4 scum at the beginning-1=3 scum+4 potential conversions=7 max total of scum). That seems unlikely. That changes tonight, so if the masons have found any leads, it would be extremely smart to pass it on to a vanilla trusted townie and then have them come forward with it. I will even volunteer myself. If you have found anything but don't want to risk a member of the masons, tell a vanilla mason to tell me, and I will tell the town. The balance will shift tonight (potentially), so we must implement this today. Even if we don't, we have to make a correct lynch today. Hinckley has been pinging me forever too, and I keep going forth between interesting town play and scummity scum. Even his two posts today make no sense: "I think we've got something solid for today, though. I'm just waiting to confirm a couple of things." and "I wouldn't reveal anything that would confirm Scum, publicly." He's implying he's using night actions to tell us a scum... but then that he will not reveal said scum in such a way that it will be public? How? What?! Explain how that makes sense, Hinckley. Alternatively, of course, this strange block of people who trust each other could be the masons, and I could be grasping at straws. I just have seen a unified front, and am not pleased with it.
  21. Final (final) tid-bit. Some sets I had built, but you never visited/saw:
  22. I said it in PM, I'll say it here - I like to see how much debt Boomingham can rack up. He's the sort of guy who would continue to borrow, but would never forget who he owed.
  23. OoC: Sorry, was traveling. Boomingham spits into the grass. A little blood goes along with it. "We're not sparing these chaps, Sorrow." "Thank Ennoc." "They had their chance at a good life, they chose poorly. All of you, stand your ground." Boomingham swipes at Haman again from the front row with Scupperer.
  24. Boomingham shrugs. "The undead is right. Heroica has put down more than a few street thugs in its time. You've got a more colorful band than some, but I don't think we'll have any trouble."
