  1. I can change it. I'll tell you now that I'm going to play Russel as I would a PC, and the Soldier would have the potential to KO him. He needs that level. You complain when Phil puts himself in danger, and complain when Russel doesn't.

  3. OoC: Hate to do this to you, Sandy... but if he's beast/humanoid, I should have a x2 multiplier onto ALL of my attacks since he's gone Werewolf. Just kidding, looks like you accounted for it, thank you! Boomingham watches as the brave Black Knight falls. "I'm sorry, Nyx." He says. He raises his sword bravely. "In the event that he gets me with this poison of his, whack me with your healing staff and hold me in front of you. The attack should wake me up - be it from him or you, and hopefully that staff of your's will help me survive the poison." Boomingham steps in front of Thothwick and Nyx. "Let's end this, old man. I'm tired." OoC: Basically, if by chance I fall asleep, attack me with your healing staff and also put me first in the battle order to soak up the free hit.
  4. "Thothwick, either drink your potion or hit yourself with your saber, it's up to you to keep yourself alive for now. Nyx, hold off Steerpike, but only if I heal you first. If I fail, then I'll be the one to take the blow." Boomingham attempts to heal Nyx from the back row. Battle Order Boomingham Nyx Thothwick
  5. Well, it was actually going to be Boomingham demanding that the already too rich rogues give it to Nyx, and take her share of the loot from our battle in exchange, but if you're not as interested in it, then I guess they can go make bucketloads of money. I always prefer when (for the MOST PART) loot goes to people who were actually on the quest - its just better for story purposes in my opinion.
  6. This is the last day to sign up! I'd love more more sign ups, but will cut the game back if need be! Those of you who are game, roles will be sent out tomorrow most likely, and then the first day will absolutely start the day after that (assuming you all confirm promptly)!
  7. That's not exactly right - regular genie lamps are now THREE time uses. But yes, I believe (and support) Mediq sticking around indefinitely!
  8. He got poison ivy while going to the bathroom. I didn't want to say it outright because it was embarrassing.
  9. Who knows?! It's almost as if y'all got yourselves into a Zepher Quest!
  10. First battle post in two months (think that's the longest I've gone since the start of Heroica without posting a battle). I feel strongly like I'm forgetting something. Aw well, here we go.
  11. The Party stands at the edge of the trap door and sees a flight of stairs descending into darkness. Russel and Atramor lead the charge... and find, among the beam and rafters supporting the stage... ...the stage! [Well, this is weird.] Russel glances back up the stairs in confusion, but before he or any of the heroes can do anything, a number of people walk onto stage and begin to recite lines that sound eerily similar to the lines that they heroes just heard in the play - not exactly the same, mind you, but strangely close. "The trumpet have blown, sir. The enemy will soon be upon us. This is the moment of truth, my liege. Thy crowning day, or thy dying day." "Oh, stand thee strong, General. Have heart, for we fight or die as noble men." Phillip, now with glazed over eyes, gives an even more inspired performance than he previously gave. And his last performance was pretty damn inspired. "Hark, lord, they are here!" The General turns towards the heroes. "We stand by you, sire!" The Enemies Rebel Prince Level 20 Humanoid

Good luck. K-Nut, keep a particularly good eye on me, as I'm new to Necromancers.
  12. "I'll help you as soon as Barty flies out again, Nyx, and then Thothwick, you're up after that. For now, Thothwick, if you could deal with Lupus, I think my loveliest lady friend and I will do a little jig with Steerpike." Boomingham lunges forward.
  13. I feel like most of the role play discussion now is based around not role playing.
  14. Party leader will be explained when the first battle begins, and will be told to them each time after that. There will be a reason for doing it this way, promise.
  15. I also have plans with the cat suit. We'll see what happens. Since there is no party leader, its up to you to go down the hole yourselves, 68ers! Hope you haven't been too bored with the sort of slow open, but it will be lots of hacking and slashing from here on in!
  16. A band of individuals stand up near the door and leave the tavern. [There go my cohorts. I guess thats our cue.] The heroes follow Pigley and the other extras back towards the Theatre. When they get there, Sir Jules has them sit in the audience and watch the dress rehearsal. The play is in... decent shape. Sir Jules calls for cuts every two seconds, which makes it a little hard to concentrate, but given Russel's general summery, the heroes are able to basically follow the plot. Sir Jules himself is clearly very talented, though he stops himself every few minutes to give himself notes under his breath. Atramor watches Johnny give a... relatively paraphrased performance. Johnny studiously avoids eye contact with Atramor. The real star, however, is the one person that the heroes never bothered to talk to earlier. Alexa Kaye gives a stirring performance as the troubled and eventually cast out Duke's Wife. During her final scene of the play, in which the General has just denied her advances, she pretends to wander into the storm. Her final line is short and sweet and heart-wrenching. "And thus am I cast out, to die powerless and alone, undone by my own folly." The heroes, however, do not have time to react to the emotional line. A strong gust cuts through the Theatre, and the heroes' vision goes blank for a few seconds. As they stumble around blindly they knock into each other and fall to the ground... And when their vision is restored- the actors and extras (Pigley included) are gone! The trap door on the stage hangs open, and a few rats squeak around it, but disappear down it quickly. What will the heroes do?
  17. Hey, I even mentioned that the guy playing the King was named Johnny when you had the chance to talk to the actors. And Jules said he smelled and acted a bit like a pirate. Did you really think I'd have two NPCs named Johnny? You could have chatted with him then!
  18. [Yes, they seemed unscrupulous individuals. That Johnny does not understand the first thing about acting or work ethic.] [Not much of a drinker, Miss Ellaria? You must be careful with the stuff. Don't want to be stumbling around if the rats were to show their faces. As a swashbuckler, I am required to be able to hold my liquor. Unfortunately, I'm still working on it. I have a very little body, so it doesn't take much to get me tipsy. I can almost drink a quarter a bottle of rum before falling asleep though!]
  19. [Yes, Everyman, that's the name. He swept into town a few weeks ago with an Orc and brutish looking man. They seemed in a bit of a rush, wanted to get to the High Kingdoms, I think. The man and Orc continued on to Loush to try to contract a ship from there, but Johnny stayed here. I think the Orc may have met with Lord Chauncey while he was in town to. They had some shared interests. If you ask me, he convinced the good Lord to hire Johnny Everyman. I certainly don't think he was Jules' choice, at least.] [i'm always willing to pay for a pretty young lady's drink. Wouldn't be much of a crab if I didn't do that!] Russel tosses the gold on the counter, and Ellaria gets a big frothing mug of mead.
  20. Sorry to have you correct rounds so often Sandy. If its any consolation, you'll be doing it to me in a few short days.
  21. The Bar Tender accepts Tesni's gold and gives her a big glass of mead. Tesni sips at it and feels encouraged immediately. Althior too sips at his drink (just serving you one, for fairness) and feels Hilariously Lucky. [sir Jules is a very competent director. He may seem intensive, but it is only because he cares. I personally believe he is doing important work. We all accomplish so little in the world, we may as well accomplish it well. It is the man playing the King that I protest to - some Johnny Alwaysface or Everhand, can't remember the name. And then the damn General is so nervous all the time. Doesn't he realize that nothing we do matters. We'll all be dead soon anyway, and no one will remember how good we were at acting, so he should really stop worrying.]
  22. Nyx actually targeted Lupus. Wouldn't put her in that much danger. Also, she has been "blinded for three rounds" for quite a few rounds. Boomingham helps Thothwick to his feet again. "Sorry, chap, not much we can do for you at this point. I'll give healing a shot, and you can take that health core of your's if it doesn't work out. Nyx, finish Lupus, would you?" Boomingham attempts to heal Thothwick from the back row. Battle Order Boomingham Thothwick Nyx Make sure you specify that if Lupus falls, you will do nothing. We can't attack Steerpike while we have the effects of Full Moon Venom and risk his second special right now.
  23. Exactly. No reason why not, it is the same exact tavern.
  24. [My fellow performers don't understand professionalism. If you are going to do something, you may as well do it well.] The mild mannered Pig took a sip of his wine.
  25. Atramor downs the rum and feels a little bit warmer inside. Perhaps the heroes would like to take this opportunity to talk among themselves? (You guys chose to come to the tavern! Talk for a bit, and then I'll update later today!)
