  1. "It's the right choice, chap. I expect you to do the same thing for me when I'm done."
  2. "Yes, Brusk. It is not my place to pass judgement on those who serve. The Eighteenth Battalion has worked most recently under Sir Pellmar who is responsible for protecting this city. I do not know Fervent, but I doubt that he is a Warrior Priest if he serves alongside Brusk. It is rare to find a warrior priest or priestess in the city. They serve mostly as missionaries to dangerous lands. It is one of the most difficult callings within our order. They are few in numbers and high in causalities."
  3. OoC: Please check your PMs as well. That is where we will keep ooc chat. "Ah, heroes. I should have guessed with such a diverse group. It is a great pleasure to meet you, Monk, lady elf, and gnome. Do any of you have a name, perchance?" She sighs. "Yes, Yu Shu. She has told me that she'll be taking on this endeavor. I consult the Warrior Priests the same as I consult all of our military, but I do not enjoy the task. My love lies in the spiritual health of Eubric, not military campaigns in foreign lands. But the Eagle-Headed God asks us all to serve, and we must answer the call. Yu Shu in particular is difficult for me to deal with. The Warrior Priests are powerful and serve the light, but she... is very strong headed, I guess would be how I might phrase it. But she is right in this matter. The Order Imperial can be no more." "Perhaps that would be best, if you are going to enter combat with the Order. The light will need to be with you. You are no stranger to Ennoc, I take it? I can take you to pray after the final hero arrives."
  4. I have been re-reading Alisameth's speech patterns from 49 and 111 and she speaks bizarrely in both. Very stiffly formal in 49, and very much like a happy young girl in 111. I love it. EDIT: Thought those would merge, sorry guys.
  5. Boomingham frowns. "We can't take her back, chap. It's a three week ride at least. I don't know much about this stuff, back back in my army days when we had the misfortune of traveling by ship you didn't keep the dead on or else everyone got sick. What's the use of the body anyway? Long as we have something to have her remembered by. I think it's best to leave her here. This was her final battle. If you're queasy about burning the body I can help you dig a grave."
  6. Anyone want to build a house with me? I'm not really into manual labor, but I can tell you what I want it to look like and you can take it from there! Thank you! It's just for a quick shout out, but I wanted to do it if possible.
  7. Bobby spots one of the girls who was in the park earlier in the day and gives her a big old wave before remembering he never actually met her or talked to her. "Yo, bros, what do you think we should do? She's pale and a vampire and all that shiz, so like the night thing makes sense know what I'm saying, but why would she give the music to that Carly chick? And how would she get it? Maybe one of us should go say yo while the rest of us keep our eyes on the street so we don't miss any of the action? That sound gucci? Or what? I'd be willing to go chat her up."
  8. Jeezy petes, stand for something, would you?! What a bizarro statement. Does this not ping anyone else? What in the world was this? "I agree that you're maple-y, oh, you said you're not maple-y, so you're right never mind thanks for clearing that up." Agreed. I can't tell if Simon is a maple or just playing a very weird oak game (maybe not enough sunlight) but pretty much everything he does pings me. The lynch yesterday WAS led by him, and for a reason that made literally no sense. Why anyone would vote based on that statement is beyond me. It was a ton of fun to poke fun at, I'll grant you that, but why in the world would liking asterisk in low lighting make you a maple! Just look at this post today day! What does that mean?! That lying about why you use asterisks makes you a maple, but if you're honest of course you're an oak. What loopy crazy world do asterisks dictate what type of tree you are? Sure her explanation was weird, but it was weird for something that totally didn't matter. And then he says that Bruce is confirmed but he can't let us know how. And then he tries to make it seem like any other confirmed person can't possibly be confirmed, even though it would just be their word, same as his. And then he tries to get William to tell him his role as if he himself is confirmed. That being said, my vote for Chester yesterday felt good, and I'm going to stick to that today unless anyone else really pings me. Larry Larch is certainly doing a good job of that so far!
  9. Boomingham yanks his sword out of the Regret's corpse and walks over to Em, patting him on the shoulder. "You did good, chap. Life is tough. We just gotta be tougher." He exhales, and then walks over to Erdy's broken body. He gently tugs her amulet off her neck. "Damn." A moment of silence passes. "I say we burn the body and bring this thing back to the Hall for her. I didn't know her all that well, but she was a hero, so... I guess that's as good a place for her to be remembered as any."
  10. Boomingham glances over at Karie and then over his shoulder at Em. "What, are we all going to strike a dramatic pose? This isn't a play, though the Regret acts like it. No need for dramatics." Boomingham shoves his blade into the Regret's head.
  11. [banner Pending as always] Four heroes make their way to the Temple of Ennoc. "Greetings and salutations," says the woman in a soft voice. "I am High Priestess Alisameth. 12. Did we ever find out the name of the missing missionary in 111?
  13. Buckle up Questees! Glad to have some returning faces and some new ones too! Should be a ton of fun!
  14. A severe looking were-lion comes into the Hall and tacks a notice to the board before leaving just as quickly. Chosen Heroes for Quest 127 Nerwen Calmcacil, Level 34 2/4 Minstrel (Party Leader) Monk Pretzel, Level 32 1/4 Artisan Grimwald Gjinko, Level 19.5 Sage Kiray Nastayo, Level 12 Knight Meet at Ennoc's Temple. OoC: You have a few hours to prepare, I'll post the thread this evening.
  15. Boomingham sighs, and wipes his sword in the snow. "What a waste," he growls. "You've lived some three thousand years, and this is all you accomplished. You lived until you wanted to die. Pah. Idiotic." Boomingham walks up to the Regret. "I didn't want to kill your younger self, I'm sure you remember. He hadn't committed any crimes. And he had the right to live and do what he was going to do. But if you're ready to die, Regret, then I'm ready for you to as well. You've thrown away a life, might as well throw away a death as well." Boomingham stands next to Karie, sword drawn. "Shall we finish him, dear?"
  16. "Yo, one of those Shadeaux chicks is all pale and shiz, and the Hinckwells and them aren't friends, know what I'm saying? So maybe that's who it is, yo. But I'd be groovy with just chilling here to hope she shows up, in case it ain't her know what I mean?"
  17. "Yo, I guess we gotta go to the concert and see if that chick is there!"
  18. OoC: I will likely be closing the sign ups for Quest 127 within the next 12 hours, since I doubt any quests will let out over the weekend! If you want to sign up and have not yet, now would be the time!
  19. Bobby waves to the fans standing next to them. "Yo, what's up, my dudes! You guys seem way chiller than the fans who were standing over here!" He turns his attention to Carly as the other heroes talk to her. "It goes like this," he explains, humming a bit of it, before he blushes a little and laughs at himself. "But you already knew that, yo."
  20. Sorry, like I said the sun must be scrambling my brains! I love it, but it doesn't always treat me well. I screwed up voting yesterday too. Vote: Chester Chestnut (Lego Spy)
  21. No input from Endgame would feel the same as the last month of this quest.
  22. Some of us have time to watch the thread and see when people stop in, some of us only have time to stop and see there's too much to read at the moment. I will have to take Bruce's oakiness as relative truth for now, I suppose. It's still possible that he's maple, of course - Simon could be lying or the investigator could be lying (things I find unlikely as I don't think maples would have a need to out themselves through assistance at this point). Godfather is also possible. But, for the sake of not chasing the same tree the whole time, I may as well give up that chase for the time being. There are probably six maples to catch, I can return to Bruce if need be. That being said, if he is an oak, I find his play style shockingly ill-advised. But, hey, to each their own! You enjoy your sun, I'll enjoy mine!! As for the vote against me, it is what it is. I found Bruce's game to be full of loud fluff and asserting he's oak, but in a joking "oh, just kidding not kidding just kidding look at me be goofy and town-like blah blah blah". I still feel that way, and will probably feel that way at the end of the day too. If someone else feeling that way as well before me warrants a vote, there's not much I can do about that! Our inability to know Alastair's allegiance does make this a pretty shot in the dark sort of day for those of us who aren't Simon! I don't understand the argument against Catarina. Her defenses are measly and not even a little bit as much fun as her initial response, I'll grant you that, but are we just voting for her because of asterisk and low lighting? I don't trust anyone who doesn't love the sun, but I sure can't lynch someone off of those two things alone! I'll go ahead and vote Chester Chesnut (Lego Spy). He did little yesterday except wobble back and forth on silly accusations... and just look at how he "accuses" people at the beginning of two potential bandwagons: (He votes for Alastair in the next post). Seems very crowd following to me! In a way where he's trying to not seem like he's following the crowd, and like he's not responsible if things go south! What are people's thoughts. And maybe someone can explain the case against Catarina better to me, because it's totally possible I missed it between talks of codes!
  23. It would be particularly annoying to not have an ending after seven months. Story-wise, I'd rather we write an ending. I don't want to be disrespectful to Endgame or other QMs, but I feel that the players are owed the reward/a story finale after that much work.
  24. The need you have to insist on this is so incredibly suspect. I've never seen someone try harder to skew what is being said! Because directly afterwards you quote me saying that's NOT what I thought you were saying... so why would you separate them and respond to them as if they were separate? I know I do! Because I've caught you, and you don't have even a small defense against it!
  25. Bobby mutters to himself and repeats.
