  1. Valentine is Zed's cousin, ie. Fahrenheit's niece. The name of her father and Fahrenheit's brother is Celsius, naturally.
  2. I don't think so - it pays to keep up with the lore. I doubt I've even mentioned the name in a quest before...
  3. "Ah, the intruders. Well, I guess I have you to thank for allowing Lilly to overcome her inhibitions so quickly, although this matter is between me and my great granddaughter. I have been presumed dead because I did die, at least physically. However, thanks to some precautionary measures, my soul has lingered on. Can you imagine what it feels like to be free of the shackles of your mortal body, to roam the world without mundane burdens? No, I do not think you can." "Lilly here has the potential to become the greatest sorceress of all time", Fahrenheit said, smiling at Lilly. "However, a diamond needs great pressure to be born. I found a way to extend my natural lifespan just for this moment - to find the True Heir of Ziegfried among all my countless relatives. I found it in Lilly, at long last, and I will not let anyone get in the way." "Umm... Don't I get a say in this?" "Little one, are you having second thoughts of yourself? I have seen your heart and know you have it in you. You did not just conquer all your inner fears to back down now, did you?" "But I don't know what this 'True Hair' is even supposed to do!" "It's heir, little one, not hair. But that is exactly why I am here. Now, send those intruders away so we can begin." "Who are you?" Fahrenheit looked at Arthur scornfully. "I am certainly not the grandfather of such a dime-in-a-dozen magician! Will you now excuse me while I discuss family matters with my true relative?"
  4. "Fahrenheit... Yes, that's it! I remember it now! The ghost of my great grandfather came to see me some time after Bluto's disappearance!" Arthur, Althior and Lilly all felt somewhat more experienced after the joint effort in unraveling the memories. "He was the one whispering to me at night all along! Well, at least one of the voices was his... But that means he must be here somewhere." Suddenly the dollhouse began to shake and tremble. "What is happening?!" "I AM SORRY, BARK. ALL SEVEN LOCKS HAVE BEEN OPENED, SO THIS HOUSE YOUR MIND HAS CONSTRUED FOR THEM CAN NO LONGER STAY INTACT." "Be careful, my little pup! Remember that this is your mind, so you are in charge." "See you in your dreams, woof!" "Thanks, I guess... Huh, I never would've thought dogs could be that nice. I guess that's what conkerending your fears does to you!" As the three dogs vanished, the shaking got worse, and the floor and the ceiling of the attic started to crack around them. "Don't worry, guys!" Lilly shouted to the heroes in the midst of the rumbling. "I'll keep you safe!" The whole house fell apart in a whirlwind around them, but miraculously the party remained unharmed. Just as suddenly as it had started, the rumbling settled, with the dollhouse having been reconstructed in a chaotic way. Walls were smashed and piled on top of each other, windows and doors and staircases were scattered everywhere and furniture was placed haphazardly all over. "All right, the locks are open. You can come out now, great grandfather Fahrenheit!" "As you wish, little one. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by your determination. It bodes well for your future." The wizard from Lilly's memory had appeared on the couch. He was dressed in dark brown, and he sported a long, flowy beard that hung to his thighs. "It seems you have grown old enough for your training to truly begin, little one." "Huh?!" Lilly glanced at the heroes, confused. What would the heroes do? 5. So, I heard it through the grapevine that there was going to be some sort of epilogue for the Halloween anthology. Any news about it? I for one would be excited to get one.
  6. ~A new quest has been posted on the Quest Board (#132 by Waterbrick Down)!~
  7. Yeah, it's totally okay to reimagine LEGO pieces in different scale than they actually are. Otherwise no hero could wear this. As for the element, how about the obvious choice, earth?
  8. Awesome entries, everyone! Granted, with this many contestants, some ideas got repeated several times, but there were some great, original figs in the mix as well! As an incorrigible figbarfer myself, I also appreciate the use of unconventional parts in creating fantasy figs. I'm giving 2 points to the entry I personally felt was the most original, had most clever parts usage and a great variety of figs from all walks of life. Thus... Entry number 13 (kbcakir) gets 2 points! A good second in my books gets the last point, so... Entry number 14 (Hammerstein NWC) gets 1 point!
  9. "Beautiful it is, in a plain, peasantly way. I can give you 15 gold for it, at most."
  10. "Ah, my dear hulking... muscular... mountaineous... whatever you are, I can only give you 30 gold for the helmet and 60 gold for the stomach guard. I have plenty of artifacts of equal quality, you see?"
  11. Chosen participants for Quest#130: Sisters in Salmanda ~ Lawrence Boomingham, Level 33 2/4 Paladin (Zepher) ~ Heckz Brutenhal, Level 25 1/3 Sorcerer (Cutcobra) ~ Eric, Level 26 2/3 Raider (Khorne) ~ Jon “Sarge” McEncy, Level 23 Black Knight (Pyrovisionary) *Party Leader* QM Note: I still need time to prepare, so the quest will launch after the weekend. Prepare for a long trip.
  12. QM Note: Close enough. "*sob* That's what I said!" Lilly bawled. "I thought mother only cared about Bluto. After he went missing, *sob sob* she didn't even notice me unless I did something naughty... In the end, *sob* all we did was argue. I want to tell her *sob* how sorry I am!" "That's it, my pup. By realizing your own part in how your mother has been treating you, the second-to-last lock has been opened." The gargantuan dog then laid down until his saucer-sized eyes were on the same level as Lilly. "BARK! MAYBE THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU YET... OPENING THE LAST LOCK WILL UNVEIL THE TRUTH. ARE YOU PREPARED, PUP?" "I admit it! *sob* I've been horrible to everyone! *sob* What more do you want out of me?!" "JUST THE TRUTH. SEE FOR YOURSELF." Everyone saw a third vision hailing from Lilly's memories. "Wake up, little one." "Who are you? And what are you doing in my room in the middle of the night?" "I am %¤&"£+&£{#. Do you recognize my name?" "Umm, I guess..." "I am here to tell you, Lilly, that you are important. You will become much greater than any of your relatives, if only you allow me to guide you." "Mother told me not to trust strangers... But honestly, I don't care what she says anymore. How great do you mean I'll become, exactly?" "Remember the story of Ziegfried and Zieglinde, little one? You have a chance to become what Zieglinde could not, because of her brother's betrayal. Your brother is now out of the picture, so the power is yours alone." "I like the sound of that!" Lilly stared at the dogs in amazement. "When did this happen? Why cannot I remember any of it?" "THE MEMORY HAS BEEN LOCKED AWAY, BARK. SEE HOW YOU CANNOT REMEMBER THE WIZARD'S NAME? HIS NAME IS THE KEY TO THE FINAL LOCK. OPEN IT, AND ALL WILL BECOME CLEAR. BARK." "You can do it, ruff ruff!" "You've done so well so far, my pup!" "Please, can you help me remember one last time?" Lilly begged the heroes.
  13. They can, but then they will be trapped in an endless loop of changing in and out of the dress, and cannot do anything else in the game ever again. Okay, the actual answer is obviously no, since they would lose the Fashionista job trait if they did.
  14. Yes, there is. I've kept the yet-unseen 9 and 10 cards a secret for now.
  15. Yes, sleeping enemies wake up from taking any damage, even from indirect attacks.
  16. "*sob* Yes... That's what I said. I made Bluto leave. And he returned all weird... *sob* because of me." The middle-sized dog then spoke. "Good. Now you remember and the lock in your mind has been opened. But things will only get worse until they start getting better. Woof, bear with me and pat my head. I will take you to the next lock." The ashamed Lilly saw no other option but to do as the dog said. Another vision flashed in front of everyone's eyes. "What is the matter here?" "Mrs. Ziegfried, Miss Lilly utterly refuses to go to her bed." "Lilly, what is the meaning of this behaviour?" "I want to stay up, like Merlyn and Morgan! You are all treating me like a little child!" "But you are a little child, Lilly! You do as you are told." "Why are you making me remember this? I don't want to!" Lilly cried out. “Hmr vdert adbut etien on, alye Mnhlo! B arlu wnl, teyomu!” “O noh’w tara oh deya ycgotrh obof oery oreu rtomo! Io ul tot, Utedi!” "You have to be strong, Lilly. This lock is shut tight, woof." Lilly was crying out loud. The heroes had to help her remember what was said again. QM Note: This anagram is even tougher, since the letters have been jumbled between four sentences. Good luck!
  17. "Where do I...? Bah, but I manufacture them myself, of course! Well, with a little help from my fairy underlings, but I personally hold the schematics on each of them. Now, shall we discuss your 'large stock' for a change?" The half-elven merchant winked at Johon.
  18. QM Note: You got the first part right, so you should have the following letters left for the second sentence: bdeehiillmnooorssuwyy. I double checked, and the word length is correct. At least the three letter word should be obvious... If you need more hints, let me know. "I didn't mean to be so... mean!" Lilly began to sob. "But you were mean to your brother. The harder you try to deny it, woof, the harder it is to face the truth. Just try to remember everything you said to him that day. Bark!" "I *sob* said... N... No, I can't! *sob sob*"
  19. Quite. Quite.
  20. ~The price of the effect bombs in Dain Almight's Bomb Shelter have been raised to 50 gold!~
  21. But once they're used, they're gone. I can of course raise their price if it feels too low.
  22. "My, that is some strong fabric used in that cape... I can give you 80 gold for it." "Are you trying to start a bidding war, you hunky raider of my innocence?"
  23. Lilly stomped her feet in frustration. "Fine! I'll touch the dog then! Just don't use naughty words like that anymore, Althior, or I'll tell Nanny to wash your mouth with soap." She then marched to the smallest dog and extended her hand with her eyes closed. As soon as she touched the dog's paw, the whole party had a shared vision. "Remember this? *whimpers*" "It's not fair! How come those total strangers get to go find a cure for greatgrandma Zelda?" "They're real heroes, Bluto. You're not." "But I want to sail the seas and see places like Salmanda, too!" "No! I don't want to remember!" “Oeb ygd’w ote uiwu ho, htyi? Jlnyon eors dsth oul mnsy.” "You have to repeat what you said then, ruff! It is the only way to open the lock!" As the vision faded, the small dog then turned to the heroes. "Please, can you help her face the truth?" What did Lilly say in the memory?
  24. QM Note: Approval of what? Please, can I get a clear action from any of you?
  25. Since you are a new player, I feel obligated to say this: it is considered bad form to sign into quests when you know you will be gone for an extended period of time. Granted, four days isn't an awfully long time when it comes to quests - not much will probably happen during your absence -, but if you knew this in advance, you should've at least informed your Quest Master about it before he picked the players. So please remember this in the future.
