  1. It looks nice, like a room from a dollhouse. The sink and the mirror are really well done. I have to ask, though, are the grills in the floor supposed to be a stepper for the tub or a drain? Because if they're a drain, they would look heaps better embedded into the floor. Also, the tub could be one stud longer, there seems to be space in front of the "shampoo bottles".
  2. Metagaming is not against the rules of this game, but please remain in-character and in-universe. Referring to past Mafia games as books the character has read is alright, for example. Day One has now ended without conviction, and you can start sending in your night actions. Since this is the first night of this game, and practically everybody has night actions, I'm unsure how long it will take to receive all the actions, process them, take photographs and post the next Day-topic, so I ask for your patience. Oh, and iamded has replaced Striker in the role of Tea Ching. Glad you could join us! Also, the conclusion to Day One has now been posted. Could a moderator please close that topic?
  3. Voting is now closed. With no votes cast, the day ends without conviction. That evening everybody gathered to a quiet dinner in the ominously spacious Great Hall. Just the day before the hall had been filled with laughter and hubbub, but now everybody kept to themselves and only spoke a few words in whispers. They had not managed to find a culprit from among themselves that day, and the tension in the hall was handfelt. The big question in almost everybody's minds was "is this person sitting next to me a killer?". After a while, Headmistress McGonagall rose to speak. She announced that something had been stolen from her office sometime during the previous couple of days. It had been so craftily done that she hadn't noticed it had happened until today. The stolen item was a book that had belonged to the late Headmaster Dumbledore. McGonagall had only noticed it was gone because she remembered the book carried the same symbol as the Death's Hallowed had left to the wall of the D.A.D.A. class: the symbol of the Deathly Hallows. It was obvious that the murders, the abduction of Professor Lastrada and the theft of the book were linked together. But how? But now it was time to retire to the dorms. The headmistress adviced everybody to stay in their rooms for the whole night and lock their doors behind them. You can now send in the night action of your choice via a private message to the host, if you want to.
  4. Headmistress McGonagall coughs and politely notes the absent-minded teacher of Charms that his name actually is Crudo, with a "d". She also reminds everybody that there is now more or less 24 hours to make a conviction, if such a thing is deemed necessary.
  5. It seems all my emphasis on "don't sign up unless you have time to play" didn't work after all. Oh well, these things happen, and we luckily have reserves for this type of occasions.
  6. At first Headmistress McGonagall reminds everybody to pay close attention to what she says to avoid futile questions. Then she repeats that the voting time is 48 hours from the moment she announced the voting is open. Nobody is forced to vote, however, it's everybody's own choice.
  7. Headmistress McGonagall draws everybody's attention. She now wants everybody to state their opinion about who is behind the attack. The person who gets thirteen or more votes will be then sent to New Azkaban for a thorough interrogation, and the truth about his or her allegiance will be revealed by the next morning. The voting starts now, and lasts 48 hours. It takes 13 votes to convict someone. Please refer to the rules if you're unsure how to vote.
  8. Headmistress McGonagall recalls that the three students were from the Gryffindor, Slytherin and Ravenclaw houses. She doesn't think any conclusions can be drawn from that, though. Auror Weasley assures you that you are under the protection of the whole Auror department, with many more agents scanning the surroundings of the castle. The whole Hogwarts is completely sealed, meaning that nothing can get in or out unless the Aurors so deem. All perpetrators caught will be whisked away to New Azkaban.
  9. Headmistress McGonagall reminds that only Prof. Lastrada himself knew the full contents of his classroom, but it was left into quite a mess by the attackers. So there is no way to know if anything aside the professor is missing.
  10. Well, the characters themselves didn't actually see the situation (or any photos of it), but I don't really mind if you talk about them if you want to. Just try to remain in-character as much as possible, for optimal pleasure of playing for everyone.
  11. No need for that, there's a black afro coming with the next batch of collectable minifigs with the disco dude.
  12. Per Francis' request, the Auror Potter tells the people present the fate of the three artifacts known as the Deathly Hallows. He himself is still in the possession of the most powerful Invisibility Cloak, while the Elder Wand is sealed in Dumbledore's tomb outside Hogwarts. The third Hallow, the Resurrection Stone, was lost in the Forbidden Forest twenty years ago. That is why the Aurors don't believe this attack has anything to do with the artifacts.
  13. I'm not sure it can be that specific. We'll go with the situation at hand, although one day/night cycle shouldn't probably take more than one week. Good thing I'm still in my unemployment period for a few weeks so I have plenty of time to build the scenes.
  14. These are actually quite spiffy, these figs. So Ford wasn't black in the book, like he was in the movie? Also, if these are purist figs, then I have to wonder how you attached Zaphod's arms to the brick?
  15. It was the Easter break in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the year 2018, exactly twenty years after the historical Battle of Hogwarts. Most students and some of the faculty had gone home for the vacation, and the school was almost deserted. The remaining students were either studying for their O.W.L. or N.E.W.T. exams, or they had nowhere else to go. The whole castle was at peace, and the teachers had time to relax and prepare for the rest of the school year. The Defence Against the Dark Arts professor Qubert Lastrada, who was also the head of the Slytherin House, was giving a late private lesson to a few seventh-year student when out of a sudden they were attacked. Alarmed by the cries, flashes and explosions, some of the faculty rushed to the D.A.D.A. classroom, only to find the students dead and the professor gone missing. Scribbled on one wall was the ancient symbol of the mythical Deathly Hallows and the text “The Death’s Hallowed Shall Rise Again”. Immediately the school grounds were sealed off and the Aurors were summoned to investigate the horrendous crime. It was much to everybody's surprise that the legendary Aurors Potter and Weasley themselves took the case. After a thorough search, it became apparent that there were no outsiders in Hogwarts. Headmistress Minerva McGonagall demanded that the interrogations would take place in Hogwarts so that the perpetrators would be caught and the missing Professor Lastrada could be found before it was too late. She wanted to hear everybody’s opinion about who the Death’s Hallowed were, for it was clear the culprits were hiding among them. Rules: 1. There are two opposing sides in this game, the Death’s Hallowed and the Innocent. The Death’s Hallowed win when they outnumber the others. The Innocent win when they’ve vanquished all of the Death’s Hallowed. 2. Each day, the players will vote out one amongst them with a majority decision. To vote or to draw back your vote, you must use the following sentence in your post: vote: character/player or unvote: character/player. If you want to change your vote, you must first unvote before the second vote is calculated. 3. During days, there is a 24 hour period before anyone can vote. Once the majority decision is reached, you cannot unvote the player in question anymore. 4. Every player will get a short list of items, spells and skills at their disposal. These can be used only at nights. 5. Each night, the players can use one of their items, spells, OR skills by sending the host a PM about it. Some items and skills have an automatic effect, which will be handled by the host. Items can be handed over to another player, but that will cost the giver the night’s action. 6. To give someone else your item, send the host a PM stating the item you wish to give, the name of the player you wish to give it to, and whether you want to remain anonymous or not. Items cannot be exchanged without the host acting as an intermediary. 7. The night abilities have a pre-specified order of effect. If you don’t send your night ability by the time limit I’ve given each day, you will miss your chance to use it. 8. The Day-topics are meant for active players only, so do not post in them if you are already out of the game. The Discussion-topic is open to everybody. 9. Do not edit your posts, because it is considered unfair to other players. 10. Do not directly quote anything I’ve sent to you via PM. Use your own words, please. 11. All out-of-character discussion must be kept in the Discussion-topic. Likewise, all talk about game tactics and roles must be kept in the Day-topics and PMs. 12. Since this game deviates quite a lot from other Mafia-games, please ask any questions or doubts you might have directly from me, and you will be answered. Players: Hogwarts Faculty: Brigelda Hearth, nurse (WhiteFang) Crudo Alakhazam, teacher of Charms (Big Cam) Eloquence Malleus, teacher of Transfigurations (Shadows) Jingle the House-elf (Dragonator) Neville Longbottom, teacher of Herbology and Head of Gryffindor House (professor flitwick) Oraman Furbad, caretaker (JimButcher) Rhubarb Uxley, teacher of Care of Magical Creatures and Head of Hufflepuff House (Escape the Fate) Sicilia Bathory, teacher of Potions and Head of Ravenclaw House (Eskallon) Stephanie Kingston, librarian (Zepher) Tea Ching, teacher of Divination (iamded) Hogwarts Students: Angela Weasley, Gryffindor (Burman) Brandon Townsend, Hufflepuff (Oky Wan Kenobi) Desiree Jackson, Gryffindor (badboytje88) Francis Rowan, Ravenclaw (ADHO15) Harriet Pewter, Slytherin (YG-49) Jolie Jadis, Slytherin (Lord Arjay) Loki Malfoy, Slytherin (ILikePi) Nene Grandstaff, Hufflepuff (Millacol88) Prion the Centaur, Hufflepuff (Forresto) Rocky Broomwell, Gryffindor (sok117) Sheila Bones, Ravenclaw (Matn) Todd "Bulltoad" Bulstrode, Slytherin (Roncanator) Valerie MacArthur, Ravenclaw (Inconspicuous) Xander Lovegood, Gryffindor (CallMePie) There are now 24 players in the game, so it takes 13 votes to convict someone. Voting will begin 24 hours from now.
  16. And we're all ready to go! Day One will be up in a short moment.
  17. Me and my fiancé just bought this game today and played it a few hours until we got past the troll battle. We constantly got distracted by all the coins and collectibles, but it was very fun (even though it was very similar to the LEGO Indiana Jones game). For me, personally, it was fun to see all the characters and creatures I've collected from the HP-sets come alive. The cutscenes were childish, I admit, but they still made us giggle. Innocence is totally underrated nowadays, in my opinion.
  18. I got this collection when I visited the LEGO store in Florida, and it was well worth the price to get all those rare pieces. Sure, they're somewhat different from the originals, but there's really nothing too glaring in my opinion.
  19. Well, you changed your avatar so I took that as a silent confirmation. But good to know you're with us for sure, anyway!
  20. Haha, you're so right. Okay, it looks like Canada is sucking in all my players, since both Dragonator and JimButcher are currently there, but since I've been informed of their absence, I'll let them join us when they get back (if it's alright with the rest of you players). That leaves sok117 the only person I haven't yet heard anything about, so unless he confirms he's playing before tomorrow, I'll have to replace him with hewkii9 and commence the game. I personally am all set to go, and I hope the rest of you are as well.
  21. Still waiting for confirmation from JimButcher, sok117 and CallMePie (and Dragonator, but I know he's on a trip now with limited time online). If I don't hear from these three by July 1st, I'll have to call in the reserves.
  22. Whichever you want. It would be good if everyone would put their character's picture as their avatar or at least in their signature so that other players will know who they're talking to without having to check the list of players. Just you wait for Day One... I've been saying that a lot, heh.
  23. Not much of a change from your previous character, but it was really just a big coincident, I swear!
  24. And much thanks to Matn, we now have a fresh new logo for this topic.
  25. All the private messages should be sent now. If for some reason you didn't get yours, let me know asap. Yay, I'm excited!
