Minifg collectors series 2 pics and barcodes
Sandy replied to Superkalle's topic in Special LEGO Themes
You obviously haven't seen the "Wizard of Oz", or have you? The minifig is based on the Wicked Witch of the West from the movie, and the character also has her own alternative history written in the book "Wicked" which was adapted to a fantastic musical. There's nothing wrong or "unfitting" about the witch, she's ugly in purpose. -
It took longer than I expected, but Day Five is now up. In case somebody is confused about iamded's continuing role in this game even though his character got killed, I just want to say that it was one of his night actions from the beginning to become a ghost if killed, so it wasn't something I just added this night to "even the odds" or anything like that. Iamded will remain in the game for the rest of its duration, keeping his night actions and being able to speak in the Day-topics, but he cannot vote. Neither can he be voted out or killed off, so please consider what night actions to use on him. He will not be counted as a winner after the game ends, though, no matter what the outcome is. I hope everyone understands and accepts this twist. Thanks!

The fourth night had supernatural occurences and potions galore. Several residents of the school were no longer what they used to be... The teacher of Divination, Tea Ching, had once again locked herself into the Divination Tower, desperately trying to find out more about the situation at hand. Her prophetic talents had failed her only once in her life, but the guilt and regret of that one time weighed heavily on her shoulders. Her thoughts took her back to China, where she had lived as a famous seer. But knowledge is power, and too much knowledge of events to come can change the course of history forever. Now she wanted nothing more to use her powers to make up for her past failure. In the split second it took her to realize that a Death's Hallowed had infiltrated her classroom and cast the killing curse Avada Kedavra on her, Tea Ching could think of nothing else but remorse that she would die without making amends of her mistake. So strong was her feeling of regret and guilt, that her spirit couldn't cross over to the other side. The Death's Hallowed watched in fury as the ghost of the diviner materialized above the corpse. "Why can't people just die properly?! We need the souls!" The ghost of Tea Ching was so confused about seeing her body lying lifeless on the ground that she didn't think of looking who her killer was before the figure dashed away. That night the moon shone full in the eerie sky. The Aurors reported of sighting a werewolf creeping in the upper corridors, but it evaded their spells. It didn't seem to have harmed anybody, though. The Dementor returned, as well, but everybody were wise enough to stay clear of it. However, the night saw the end of Cuddles the Cerberus, as its body was found from the entrance hall with a gleaming sword stuck in its chest. The poor caretaker had been its first and only victim. The librarian Stephanie Kingston had been revealed to be a squib immune to magic last night, but this night it turned out she wasn't immune to other ways of killing, like poison for example. Madam Kingston was found lying half-dead from the floor of the library, and she was taken to the hospital wing post-haste. In the morning, Headmistress McGonagall recounted these events to everybody. Madam Kingston had been able to get up to hear this with the help of a wheelchair, but her poisoning was severe, and Nurse Hearth confirmed that unless she was cured soon, the librarian would eventually perish. The headmistress had the sword that had been used to kill Cuddles with her, and she announced that this was the same sword Angela Weasley had possessed, and that it indeed was the legendary Sword of Gryffindor, given to Angela and then to another person by the headmistress herself. "With Brandon Townsend dead, I do not believe there will be any more monsters invading Hogwarts. Thus I will reclaim this sword and return it to its rightful place in my office", the headmistress said. Then Auror Potter spoke. "We interrogated Miss Grandstaff thoroughly, and it became evident that like Mr. Townsend, she too was Impartial to these affairs. Miss Grandstaff has been suffering from a mental condition called the bipolar disorder for quite some time, hence she has had terrible mood-swings and personality changes that made her go to the extremes, like torturing people. She has now been transported to St. Mungo's to get proper treatment." "As for you, Professor Ching", Potter continued, "it is obvious that you were attacked by the Death's Hallowed last night, and that your good will alone keeps you still here with us. It is thereby clear that you were an innocent person when you lived. I hope you still linger with us to help us out, but I'm afraid we cannot let you vote during the days, because spirits are known to be fickle when it comes to the matters of the living. Anyway, I hope it is obvious to everybody present that ghosts cannot be killed or sentenced to prison." Finally, Minister Granger-Weasley addressed the crowd. "It looks like you made a good choice in convicting Miss Grandstaff yesterday. Let us hope you can make as good a choice today as well. However, I wish you all keep in mind my theory that these events might be related to the late Dark Wizard Grindelwald. Professor Ching's recount that her killer spoke of 'needing souls' makes me fearful that there is necromancy at work here in Hogwarts. But have faith, people, I beg of you. Trust in goodness, and it shall prevail. Please." The residents of Hogwarts started going through the recent events together. Rules: 1. There are two opposing sides in this game, the Death’s Hallowed and the Innocent. The Death’s Hallowed win when they outnumber the others. The Innocent win when they’ve vanquished all of the Death’s Hallowed. 2. Each day, the players will vote out one amongst them with a majority decision. To vote or to draw back your vote, you must use the following sentence in your post: vote: character/player or unvote: character/player. If you want to change your vote, you must first unvote before the second vote is calculated. 3. During days, there is a 24 hour period before anyone can vote. Once the majority decision is reached, you cannot unvote the player in question anymore. 4. Every player will get a short list of items, spells and skills at their disposal. These can be used only at nights. 5. Each night, the players can use one of their items, spells, OR skills by sending the host a PM about it. Some items and skills have an automatic effect, which will be handled by the host. Items can be handed over to another player, but that will cost the giver the night’s action. 6. To give someone else your item, send the host a PM stating the item you wish to give, the name of the player you wish to give it to, and whether you want to remain anonymous or not. Items cannot be exchanged without the host acting as an intermediary. 7. The night abilities have a pre-specified order of effect. If you don’t send your night ability by the time limit I’ve given each day, you will miss your chance to use it. 8. The Day-topics are meant for active players only, so do not post in them if you are already out of the game. The Discussion-topic is open to everybody. 9. Do not edit your posts, because it is considered unfair to other players. 10. Do not directly quote anything I’ve sent to you via PM. Use your own words, please. 11. All out-of-character discussion must be kept in the Discussion-topic. Likewise, all talk about game tactics and roles must be kept in the Day-topics and PMs. 12. Since this game deviates quite a lot from other Mafia-games, please ask any questions or doubts you might have directly from me, and you will be answered. Players: Hogwarts Faculty: Brigelda Hearth, nurse (WhiteFang) Crudo Alakhazam, teacher of Charms (Big Cam) Eloquence Malleus, teacher of Transfigurations (Shadows) Jingle the House-elf (Dragonator) Neville Longbottom, teacher of Herbology and Head of Gryffindor House (professor flitwick) Rhubarb Uxley, teacher of Care of Magical Creatures and Head of Hufflepuff House (Escape the Fate) Sicilia Bathory, teacher of Potions and Head of Ravenclaw House (Eskallon) Stephanie Kingston, librarian (Zepher) Hogwarts Students: Desiree Jackson, Gryffindor (badboytje88) Harriet Pewter, Slytherin (YG-49) Jolie Jadis, Slytherin (Lord Arjay) Loki Malfoy, Slytherin (ILikePi) Prion the Centaur, Hufflepuff (Forresto) Rocky Broomwell, Gryffindor (sok117) Sheila Bones, Ravenclaw (Matn) Todd "Bulltoad" Bulstrode, Slytherin (Roncanator) Valerie MacArthur, Ravenclaw (Inconspicuous) Xander Lovegood, Gryffindor (CallMePie) Others: Dementor #2 Tea Ching, teacher of Divination and a ghost (iamded) The Deceased & The Confined: Brandon Townsend, Hufflepuff (Oky Wan Kenobi) - Impartial (killed on Night One) Oraman Furbad, caretaker (JimButcher) - Innocent (slain by a monster on Night One) Angela Weasley, Gryffindor (Burman) - Innocent (voted out on Day Two) Francis Rowan, Ravenclaw (ADHO15) - Innocent (killed on Night Two) Nene Grandstaff, Hufflepuff (Millacol88) - Impartial (voted out on Day Four) Tea Ching, teacher of Divination (iamded) - Innocent (killed on Night Four, now a ghost) There are 18 players left in the game, so it will require 10 votes to convict someone. Voting starts 24 hours from now.

Minifg collectors series 2 pics and barcodes
Sandy replied to Superkalle's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Greatness! Thank you! My favorites are naturally the Witch and the Singer, but also the Pharaoh, the Mime and the Surferdude. But I'm going to get them all anyway, so it doesn't make a difference. -
Oh pishposh, it's obviously 2.26 PM in all the important places, like my home.
-
Results from the actions of Night Four should now all be sent to your PM boxes. Day Five will begin later today.
-
There's been a minor delay in schedule (went to see Inception today, what a fantastic movie it was!), so Day Five will be up sometime tomorrow. I got everybody's night actions except one, but it's too late to send that in now. I'll also send the results of your nightly tricks to you guys tomorrow. Until then...

MOC Collectible minifig Series 1.5 "Will Scarlet"
Sandy replied to greg3's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Well, he should be wearing all-red, according to the common legends, but you've worked with what you got, naturally. -
Voting topic - LDD Only Class
Sandy replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I have to say, most of these entries portray the biggest issue I personally have with LDD creations, and it is that they are lifeless. Even the digital minifigs can't fix that problem completely, since most creations are missing those tiny details that make real brick creations so fascinating, like lighting, shadows, reflections, texture, uneven coloring etc. I'm giving my points to those entries that best get around that issue of mine. 1 point goes to 114 Microscale cyberpunk city by Alopex. Using microscale was a brilliant move, as it made this entry very interesting to look more closely. It also didn't have the problem of filling empty space or big walls. Instead of wanting more life in it, this creation lead me to imagine life into the minuscule city myself (especially the hovering aircraft helped in that). 2 points go to 131 Apartment Building by Jan, which is almost more like an architectural blueprint than an actual building, and that's what is so fascinating about it. The modularity aspect is given a deep thought by the creator, and the different examples are great. Because it is not even supposed to be a finished building, the lifelessness does not bother me. This is a brilliant concept that does not disappoint, merely makes me wish to see made in real bricks and filled with life. -
Voting topic - LDD + Real Bricks class
Sandy replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Wow, as a non-fan of LDD, I have to say I'm impressed with these creations, really! It does make a difference to see the digital and the real brick version side by side, because in my heart the real bricks always win. But I'd like to award all of my 3 points to 212 Star (Justice) Base Dock, based on the fact that it evades the "inferior digital version, superior real brick version"-effect that I get from the other entries. This entry shows one side made with the LDD, and the other side with real bricks, bringing true value to both versions, as it would not be same without seeing both of the images. So that's why it caught my interest, even though there are better designs among the other entries. Originality wins over technical quality, in my eyes. -
Still waiting for night actions from three people. Please send them in 24 hours, or you'll miss the chance. Thanksies!
-
Of course we do! Next to Harry Potter and Orient Expedition, the "Fantasy Era" Castle theme is one of my favorites. Even as a kid, I always wanted one of those big castles, but we were too poor to get one back then. I've made up for that in the recent years, though. And the Medieval Market Village is especially good for girls, because it depicts a civilian village, rather than one of those boring old battle-scenes. There's a large variety of minifigs, a whole horde of great accessories, and the buildings are enchanting too. It's not a little kids' set, though, the build is quite challenging and all the little pieces get lost so easily.
-
You certainly made Day Four very interesting, so it was a pleasure having you as a player!
-
The conclusion to Day Four is now up, so don't miss it! Night actions can now be send to me, but there's no hurry, really, as Day Four went by quite fast. I just want to notify that I've began working full-time again today, so everything might not go as clockwork precisely as it has been going before now. So please be patient, even though the game is getting more and more exciting.

Final vote tally: Rocky Broomwell/sok117: 1 vote (Millacol88) Nene Grandstaff/Millacol88: 12 votes (sok117, Zepher, badboytje88, Eskallon, CallMePie, Inconspicuous, Lord Arjay, Roncanator, iamded, YG-49, Shadows, professor flitwick) Twelve fingers pointed at Nene Grandstaff, convicting her to be sent to Juvenile Azkaban for further interrogations. "Haha, you'll see who was right and who was wrong!" Nene mocked the mob, barely holding her laughter. Headmistress McGonagall held out a sparkling cloak. "We found this in your belongings, Miss Grandstaff. It appears to be an invisibility cloak of some kind, no?" "Hey, that's mine! Give it back!" Nene shouted. "Miss Grandstaff, you will be going to Juvenile Azkaban to be interrogated. We can hardly let you hold onto an item like this", the Minister of Magic explained calmly. "You just don't get it! You're all just a bunch of clueless idiots!" the accused student screamed. In a flash, Nene Grandstaff had jumped onto Jolie Jadis, knocking her down and pummeling her with fists. "This is all your fault, Jolie Jadis! You did this to me, even though you are no better than me. I hate you, hate you, HATE YOU!" "Get the crazy female canine off of me!" Jolie yelled. The Aurors dragged the kicking and screaming and cursing Nene out of Hogwarts. "I apologize for her behaviour, Minister. It's obvious the poor girl is suffering from some sort of mental illness", the headmistress explained. Everybody returned to the Great Hall, with high hopes that they had finally caught one of the Death's Hallowed. In the Great Hall, Minister Granger-Weasley addressed the crowd again. "I have been going through all the possible clues today, and they all seem to come back to that symbol inscribed on the wall of the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, and on the book stolen from the headmistress' office. Now, this newly discovered cloak of invisibility might make you reaffirmed that this whole tragedy has been about the Deathly Hallows, but I was surprised none of my friends - Aurors Potter and Weasley, or Professor Longbottom - remembered that the symbol has an alternative meaning." Everybody looked at each other in wonderment. Had they been on the wrong tracks the whole time? "The symbol of the Deathly Hallows, you see, was also used by the Dark Wizard Gellert Grindelwald during his reign of terror in the continental Europe. I want you to reflect on this piece of information during the following night, but please, stay safe." Day Four has ended. Please send in your night actions for the next night.

I just spend a few sweaty moments in my neighboring deparment store going through the Collectable Minifigs boxes they had put on the LEGO shelf. This was the first time I saw them anywhere in Finland, so of course I immediately had to print out the barcode list and search for the 11 minifigs I was missing (got a Clown, a Wrestler, a Forestman and a Ninja during my trip to America, and won a Skater from the minifig-backdrop contest here). I was just glad it's Sunday, so there weren't that many families to witness my frentic bag-searching. I came home with 11 bags, but as me and my boyfriend opened them up, it turned out I had made one mistake, so I got two Cowboys and no Indians. Oh the irony, eh? But no worries, there were still plenty of bags left in the store after my raid, so I'll go snatch that missing minifig some other day. At least now I've got all the sweet, sweet minifigs I wanted from the series - the Forestman, the Cheerleader, the Nurse, the Skater, the Clown and the Caveman. The others are of course neat as well.
-
I just wanted to say that I've been spending time reading the discussion topics of the old Mafia-games that I myself didn't participate in, and it looks like you guys have gotten used to playing as female characters, because there's a distinct lack of boob-jokes in this game. Or maybe it's just because Hinckley isn't involved. Anyway, I'm proud of you guys for that.

What minifigs are we missing - post your detailed suggestions here
Sandy replied to CopMike's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Ooh, I want a geisha! That's a wonderful idea! She should come with a black bun hairpiece, a proper geisha make-up, a pink floral kimono, and a fan as an accessory. Yeah, definitely want one! -
Ah, I forgot about this topic, so I guess I missed listing a few of my titles (that I've blissfully forgotten now), but here's the latest one: The Future Hogwarts Headmistress [Given for apparently doing a good job with hosting the Hogwarts Mafia.]

The third night was full of trials and errors, but come the morning, the residents of Hogwarts would be somewhat wiser. Librarian Stephanie Kingston was doing some late-night arranging in her dear library. She couldn't fathom that an innocent young man had been killed there just the other night. The library had always been a place of solace and tranquility to her, and now it had been tarnished by an act of pure evil. Suddenly Stephanie heard the door open with a creak. "A filthy squib has no place in the reign of darkness", the intruder hissed. "Die! Avada Kedavra!" Stephanie shrieked as the terrifying spell shot out at her. But much to the assaulter's surprise, the spell didn't connect. Pure fury filled the librarian. "How dare you come into my library and try to kill me with your pathetic spells?! Just so you know I am no ordinary squib, for I am utterly and completely resistant to magic! Now GET OUT!" Stephanie picked up a chair and threw it after the fleeing Death's Hallowed. Then she sat down onto the floor panting, as she slowly realized she had survived an attack that had killed so many already. That night, the petrified Cuddles was found again. The Aurors tried to remove it from the premises of Hogwarts, but as soon as it recovered, it vanished again. Another Dementor was sighted at the entrance hall, but it didn't manage to harm anyone. Since it wasn't banished, it would return next night to haunt the castle again. At daybreak, a flying SUV approached Hogwarts, carrying the Minister of Magic. Everybody gathered at the entrance hall to greet the Minister. She had been appointed to the office only less than a year ago, after the retirement of Kingsley Shacklebolt. "Welcome back to Hogwarts, Minister Granger-Weasley", Headmistress McGonagall greeted. "We get great comfort at your presence here during this darkest of times." "My husband Ron told me everything about the events that have taken place here this week", the Minister of Magic Hermione Granger-Weasley said. "Please, I'd like to address everybody at the Great Hall, if it is alright with you?" "It is with a heavy heart that I come here to my beloved old school on a business like this", Minister Granger-Weasley said as she spoke to the crowd gathered at the Great Hall. "I truly wished Hogwarts would never have to experience a battle like the one that took place twenty years ago. You have lost several friends and co-workers in this struggle, while the Ministry has suffered the loss of two great Aurors. I have come here to assess the situation, and to help you with the best of my abilities to seize these dark wizards calling themselves the Death's Hallowed." "I am truly glad that nobody was killed last night, but that does not mean you shouldn't continue to stay alert. I am sure you have a lot to discuss about now, so I will leave to gather whatever information I can find about these events. I wish to speak to you all again this evening. Hogwarts has always been careful not to let the Ministry get involved in its business, but I hope we can solve this issue with cooperation. Thank you." The crowd gave a short applause to the minister, and her place on the podium was taken by Headmistress McGonagall. As the headmistress addressed the others, Hermione spoke to Ron and Harry. "This is horrible, guys. It is happening all over again!" she said. "I'm just glad our children aren't involved in this", said Ron. "It was horrible enough to send little Angela to Juvenile Azkaban." "Indeed. How are Ginny and the children doing?" Harry asked. "They've all gathered to the Burrow. I just dropped Hugo and Lily to the Quidditch practice to get their mind out of what's happening here. The children are worried sick about their friends here, and you two aren't exactly safe either. Guys, let's just get this thing solved as fast as possible so we can return to our families, okay?" The Aurors both nodded with determined expressions on their face. Rules: 1. There are two opposing sides in this game, the Death’s Hallowed and the Innocent. The Death’s Hallowed win when they outnumber the others. Great to have you fully on board, Dragonator! Thanks to all players for being so timely on sending your night actions. All results from Night Three's actions should be sent now to your PM boxes, please notify me if you didn't get yours. Also, if anybody is uncertain what night actions they currently have, I'd be more than happy to send you an updated list via a PM. Day Four will be up shortly.
-
Beautiful shots, absolutely! It's nice to see "everyday" life portrayed like this, with hobos and all. At first I was like "Hmm, is this one of those men-only cities?", but then I noticed you do have a few women in the background, too.
-
Those minifig sets weren't called battle packs, though, and they were pretty much the only way to get just minifigs back then.
-
Conclusion to Day Three is now up (sorry for the minor delay), and you can continue to send in those night actions, players. Day Four will bring with it an unexpected visitor in the form of the Minister of Magic, so look forward to that.
